A week later, Tunde drove me to his house after work. He was leaving soon for Delta and when he asked if I could come over to watch him cook soup, I agreed even though I had lots of work to do.
We bought already cut vegetables leaves and waterleaf from the market but I chopped the onions and sat on a dining chair which I dragged to the kitchen. He paid little attention to me. He was all focused on the pot. I loved to be a distraction so from time to time, I tiptoed and hung my head over his shoulder while wrapping my arms around him.
"My worst distraction, " he murmured. Feeling encouraged, I gave him butterfly kisses all over his neck to his bare back.
"I'm sleeping over, " I told him.
"I know, " he replied immediately like we talked about it before then. He bent his head to a side, allowing me plant kisses on it.
I went back to my seat and began to admire the picture of the new site I was moving to on my phone. I loved the glass doors and the beautiful lawn that was outside. I planned to buy the storey building so I could have other shop owners there as tenants. I could not do it alone and Wisdom was fully supporting me like it was his own business.
"Are you okay if we eat from the same plate?" Tunde asked as he turned off the gas cooker.
I imagined our fingers dancing around in one plate of food. The last time I did that with anyone was when Ada was around. "Yes!" I finally replied.
I don't even know why I was extra conscious while I ate but he was not. I was careful not to stain the table, careful with the meat, careful with the water so I don't choke.
"Come shower so you can pull your work clothes," He said after we washed the plates.
The sweater and short I wore to his house last time were still in his house. I left on the Sunday after he returned from church, wearing his hoodie and joggers.
"Here," He said, laying my clothes down for me. The weather was hot so I asked him for a singlet instead.
"It's like secondary school. Be in the line, you would go in after me," I said, going into the bathroom. I heard his laughter which ended once I closed the door.
Unlike the first day, he did not hand me a towel. I used his white towel which was hanging in the bathroom. It smelt of fruits and his musk. I wrapped it around me for a while, allowing my body to get used to the scent of the towel even though I now had the fruit scent from his soap, then I came out.
He was lying on the bed with his legs on the floor.
"I'm done," I announced deliberately hitting his legs that were not in my way.
"Let me just sleep small," he murmured, dragging in his legs fully into the bed.
I sat on the bed to wear my clothes while he did not seem to try getting up. He was lying on his side, backing me. I pulled into the bed and lay behind him then I wrapped my arm around his waist.
"Do you want to sleep too? " He asked in a murmur.
I did not reply but climbed over him and he turned to hold me still on his body. He was no longer sleeping. His eyes bore into mine in questions and I dipped my head to answer them by placing a kiss on his lips. His arms were still loose around me. Maybe he knew that beneath the towel was my nakedness and he did not want to hold too close lest the towel fall but I did not mind as long as he was not pushing me off his body.
I swept my tongue over his lips then chewed his upper lip before going down to the lower one. He responded; he held my waist tighter and the knotted towel come undone. He held my face in place and licked my jaw up to my ears then down again.
I was flipped over in one quick motion and my towel spread apart under me like a mat. He knelt on top of me, taken back for a moment. I lay, looking at him in expectancy waiting for him to make a move. He did not.
I reached and grabbed his neck then littered kisses all over his face- his eyes, nose, ears and down to his neck. I felt him trail a finger down my arm then the other. He traveled down the same way with his lips. Then returned to my shoulder, licking and nibbling. My fingers involuntarily tightened on his sheet as I writhed under him.
His eyes held mine before he descended on my areola, sucking and nibbling my nipples then he travelled down my thorax, planting wet kisses in his footsteps. I brought back his head to my neck, teaching him how to love my skin with my hips raised and swaying from side to side under him before his hand kept me in place.
"Now, Please," I moaned impatiently, swallowing my saliva forcefully.
He fell beside me on the bed staring up to the ceiling. His right hand covered his eyes. I sensed regret, I sensed his hesitance. I was too aroused to care. I moved to him again, traveling down to his crotch with my hand till I cupped his hardness. He gritted and held my hand.
Frustrated, I lay beside him. I was a well built naked woman offering myself to a man within the four walls of his home and he was having issues accepting that. I felt my confidence drop way beyond six feet.
"Are you gay? "
I did not believe he could be but thinking of it partly, it seemed like a good conclusion given that he spent some time in the seminary with men. His silence was beginning to answer my question. His lips were broadened in little of what could have been a smile. His eyes bore shock at my question for a while before shock turned to amusement.
"I want you more than I can even explain. I want to make love to you badly, Nene."
There was a way he said it that caused an additional tingle in between my legs.
"I'm not gay. I'm just _ " He stopped talking and slapped his forehead. I waited. I was not reasoning. I just wanted the sex.
He rose and ran his palm around my face. He moved to my neck and back again to my ears. Hungrily I stared at him. The suspense was killing me.
The kisses he littered on my face afterwards were wet. He was slow, and steady in his pace of making love to my entirety.
Later, after he had hurriedly freed himself from his trousers and briefs, his eyes held mine as he slipped into me. The time paused and resumed again, my eyes cartwheeled. At last.
In between the gripping of sheets, passionate clawing and kisses, an increased heat we were building, I could not think of any other thing but that moment. 'What next' was only for the sane and at that time, I could not be put in that class.
Together we reached the peak of ecstasy. His tongue still ran all over my face as he tried to get his breath back.
"Mo nife re, " His voice was low and hoarse.
Clinging onto his shoulders, I interpreted. "You are beautiful."
