After the intense ordeal of defeating her ex-fiancé and best friend, Rose's heart yearned for a sense of closure. She knew that in order to truly move forward, she needed to confront the remnants of her past that still lingered in Italy with her contract husband, Alfonso.
With determination in her eyes, Rose boarded a plane bound for her home country. As the hours stretched on, thoughts of her tumultuous relationship with her estranged husband flooded her mind. She wondered if he had changed, if their encounter would rekindle old wounds, or if there ever was a chance for the both of them to be together.

Rose climes down the car, giving her bag to Sofia and making her way straight to Alfonso's office; she doesn't want to waste Tim's time prolonging anything here.
As Rose stood in front of the door with shaking legs, she raised her hand and knocked on the door. Her palms sweating with nervousness, she reminded herself to stay strong. Alfonso opened the door, his face a mixture of surprise and uncertainty. Their eyes locked, and for a moment, time stood still.

She flashed him a smile before welcoming herself into the home office.

I played a significant role in the creation of this relationship as well; I convinced a desperate woman to help her with her revenge for my greed. I deeply regret it, and I say sorry for that."
"I propose that we give our contract marriage another chance," Alfonso continued, his eyes earnest. "Let's work together to rebuild the trust we lost and rediscover our true selves again, with the little time we have left in this marriage. We owe it to ourselves to try, to see where things in our lives could lead us to."
Rose listened intently, her heart torn between skepticism and hope. She could see the genuine transformation in Alfonso, but she also knew that rebuilding trust wouldn't be easy. She needed time to process this and let go of the pain and resentment that still lingered.
After a long silence, Rose finally spoke, her voice filled with caution yet tinged with optimism. "Alfonso, I appreciate your honesty and willingness to change. I need some time to think and to heal from the wounds of my past. But if you're truly committed to making this work, if we can build a foundation rooted in trust and open communication, then maybe we can give our contract marriage another chance and enjoy this time as civilized adults and friends." She answered with a smile on her face.
They acknowledged that their contract marriage had been flawed from the beginning, but they were willing to redefine their relationship and build something built upon trust, mutual respect, and shared aspirations.
