~Aubrey's pov~
I can't believe he said that. Rowan has hurt me beyond imagination. He believed i cheated on him, Rowan believed i got pregnant with another man's child. But am i really pregnant?.
A knock was heard and i cleaned my hands with the towel and went to open the door. I peeped through the hole and saw Isla. I opened the door. She looked at me with pity and hugged me instantly.
"Oh baby, it must be really hard for you"
"What are you doing?"
"Cleaning. I'm cleaning" We disengaged from the hug.
"I brought wine. Tada"
She shouted and raised the wine up.
"That's so thoughtful of you. You're a genius"
"I always am"
I disappeared into the kitchen and came afterwards with glass cups.
"I can't believe he said that"
"Aubrey. Are you really pregnant?" She asked pouring the wine into the glasses.
"I'm not. There's no bump"
She chuckled. "You're feeling dizzy, right?"
"Yes"
"You feel like vomiting, you pee every seconds that passes"
"Yes."
"Girl, you're pregnant"
"I'm not. I can feel it. I'm not pregnant"
"Well then, we can go for check ups. But now,let's drink ourselves to stupor" I hit her on her head. "Bitch. You're pregnant" I reminded. Her countenance changed and she looked away. "Who got you pregnant?"
"Cliff"
"What?. You dumbass. How dare you?. Fuck, he's your boss."
"I know"
"What did he say?"
"Huhh!!"
"Answer me. What did he say about the pregnancy?"
"I haven't told him yet"
"What do you mean?. You don't want to tell him or what?"
"Aubrey. I haven't told him yet. He's engaged."
I bit my lips sadly. This was why she never told anyone. I know how it must had felt to be in her shoes. "Oh baby, come"
I hugged her and patted her back. We all had problems and it all requires solving but what if it was beyond that.
A knock was heard at the door and we disengaged. "I thought you said my mom traveled " I whispered into her ear.
"She did. She'd traveled. Let me check" I drew her back.
"No. I'll check. Sit"
I tiptoed to the door and looked. I saw Rowan.
"It's Rowan"
I tiptoed back to the chair. "What is he doing in my house?" I whispered.
The knock came again and again. "I'm not opening the door" I waited til we heard retreating footsteps and off he left.
"Relax. No one's opening the door. Let him keep knocking" I poured more wine into the glass. "I hate him"
"Or you like him" She said wriggling her brows. "Shut up. I hate you"
"I hate you too" We burst out laughing. I went sober after that.
"He's gone. " I said blinking back tears. "I can't believe he said that to me"
"You've been ringing that as a bell since i came"
"You don't understand. It's just like a movie to me"
"There's something you don't know about men."
"Which is?"
"Most men do things without thinking of who they hurt. They do things and regret afterwards"
"And Rowan seems to fall into that category"
"Correct. " She beamed.
"I have a suggestion"
I know it's crazy but seeing me dress to the bar like nothing happened would make Rowan believe that i really cheated on him.
"Hey, beautiful" A man calls me. I look at him and then at Isla, she snarled. "Back off " The man moved away and i chuckled.
"Demon suckers!!"
"Oh please, they mean no harm"
"What suddenly changed you?" I look at her as we sat down.
"I don't understand"
"What changed you about this gender?. You use to hate them "
"Maybe love" I replied honestly.
"That's nice. I love that you are being honest to yourself"
"I'm always honest to myself. When I told you i hate them, i meant it. But with time, i started seeing the difference in them. Not everyone is perfect"
"Not everyone. Rowan isn't perfect"
"Look. He took me for granted, he never waited for me to explain, he never looked at my expression and saw that i wasn't lying. He believed what he heard from the doctor and now, i don't think he trust me."
"You don't blame him. He was hurt before and you know that"
"He's insane. Since Tyler came into our lives, my relationship has never been the same. He values the child more than I"
"Come on. He's a child. Why do i feel you're jealous?"
"I am very jealous. My husband never look at me the way he does before, what if he has fallen back in love with Anna?"
"Shut up!!. Rowan loves you very much. He just don't think before acting."
"You do got a point. He does not think before acting. How dare he accuse me of cheating on him?. I've never got time with myself let alone cheating." She looked absentmindly. "Isla" I calls and she looked at me.
"I'm coming" She got up and left.

~Rowan's pov~
"I thought she cheated, man!. Don't blame me for it"
The waiter pours our drinks into our glasses.
"You could had just think before you act. I've always told you that!"
"I know. You wouldn't have the time to think because the evidence had clouded your mind. You saw the symtoms in her, and the doctor confirmed it" He nodded and drank from his cup.
"Bruh,I know i messed up. Will she ever forgive me?"
"I don't think so. Have you tried talking to her?"
"She practically avoided seeing my face"
"I know how hard it must had been." A lady passed by quickly with her phone.
"Hey, what're you looking at?"
"She looks like Aubrey's friend"
"She is, Aubrey's friend. What will she be doing here?" He asked.
"Did Aubrey came with her?" I started looking round the bar for Aubrey. It took me few minutes to sight her sitting and chatting with a man.
"What?" I growled and turned back to my drink.
"What is it?"
"Look at that man, touching my wife. I feel like smacking his face" I looked irritatedly seeing that man hold Aubrey's hand.
"Calm down. He meant no harm"
They both laughed and i balled my fists together. "Hey, calm down"
Then the man looked at my Aubrey and tuck strands of her hair behind her ear. I got immediately and started walking to their direction.

~Aubrey's pov~
A blonde guy came closer and sat on Isla's seat when she left to God knows where. I looked away.
"You're married" He said and chuckled. I look at my gold ring and smiled. "It's beautiful. The man must be lucky" He touch my hand and kept looking at the ring. How dare he touch me?.
"He is lucky" He started laughing and i followed him . "He's so fake" I mumbled. "Did you say something?"
"No" I replied with forced smile. He looked at me and drew nearer so our face were closer. "You look pretty" He mumbled and raised his hand up to my hair, then he tucked it in behind my ear. " I'm sorry i didn't mean to"
"It's okay. It's fine" I said uneasily and poured a wine on my glass.
"How dare you touch my wife?" I heard Rowan's voice and looked up. No it's my imagination. Rowan will never be in the bar with me. It's my imagination.
He dragged him up, chattering the glasses on the floor and then he said.
"I am the only one to touch my wife, no one else" He punched him. That was when i knew Rowan was really in front of me, punching a man who sat beside me.
"Rowan, stop" I shouted. "How dare you touch her?. She's mine, you pervert" He punched him again and again and pushed him on the floor. I turned Rowan and gave him a hot slap across his cheek.
"Aubrey"
"Don't talk to me" I warned, carried my bag and left.
"Please listen to me" He begged following me out of the bar. "You ungrateful thing!. How dare you show your face back here?"
"I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry" He grabbed me back and pushed his lips into mine. I felt sparks spreading up on my body. I held his hands as he sucked my tongue relieving me of every of my worries.
Realization dawned on me that this was a man i had fought few minutes ago. I pushed him and ran away in tears.
