Chap 20
Title: Introduced the villain.
My hair was scattered all over my face, my eyes hurting from crying too much, my eyelids were heavily closing up. I could not make out any thing from she just told me. They were uttering...gibberish.
"Aubrey, he will be fine" His mom held my right shoulder and i looked up instantly. I don't know how it happened but my eyes were dimly fixed on this woman right now.
"How did it happen?" I asked after a brief silent took over. She removed her hand from my shoulder and breathed out.
"After Anna left, he was enraged, he losts his sanity. At first we thought he wanted to arrest her but he was planning to kill her. We didn't want that to happen, we talked to him, yes..Kadee talked to him about it and he had a small knife with him, he was crazily advancing toward her when she ran for her life. It was terrifying to see my son wants to kill everyone who he knew, then we contacted this doctor. They tied him and bound his way into a hospital. This psychotherapist helped him gradually back to his senses but it wasn't enough, his quest to kill her was still there. He was mad ."
His mom was crying, and i felt pity for her, i turned around and hugged her instantly, consoling her. I didn't know how it must had been for her to watch her son display some kind of madness, it must had really been a tough one.
But i was angry, no one told me about this. No one told me about my husband's medical illness. "How come no one told me about my husband's medical illness?" I asked and she looked up at me. "I didn't feel the need to, the fact that Anna didn't come back."
"It's okay, everything will be fine"
I climbed down from the car and walked into the hospital. I wanted to know what was happening to him now. I wanted to see Rowan and know how he was faring.
"You're Mrs Adams?"
"Yes, I'm his wife"
"Sit"
I nodded and sat opposite him."I believe you came to know what state your husband is, well before that, i would like you to see him."
He got up and led me out as i followed him to place like cell. We walked through the aisle searching for Rowan's ward.
And then we stopped infront of a door, and the only thing demarcating i from Rowan was this door. "We can't open the door now, come." He walked further and opened an iron door in front of us, getting into this room was dark not until he put on a light and that was when i saw him, through a big screen.
"What is he doing?" I asked watching him from awhile. He just quietly sat down on this cold floor looking at nothing. He was dazed. "We just injected him, believe me your husband was alot to handle. The only thing that matters to him was you. He kept calling your name and struggling to see you. Your husband's personality is very harmful to everyone around him."
"What do you mean?" I He sighed instead, and started leaving through the door while i followed him.
We settled back at our previous position in his office as i waited for the doctor to continue or better still tell me what exactly was happening to Rowan.
"Rowan is not in his right state of mind. All he does want to do is to kill Anna."
"But he was fine when i married him, he was fine. I never encountered this side of him, we went on honeymoon and came back recently. And besides he loved Anna" I gulped down and felt a little jealous.
His love for Anna caused his sanity. He got mad because he loved her, what if the love he had for her was there again?. I mean he got mad after seeing her again but what i saw him do to her was not love. I know that.
"Mrs Adams. That is what I'm saying, his love for her turned hatred and anyone going against his will is in danger. He sees everyone who tries to stop him from hurting Anna as his enemy, but now we have a new record and hope." My ears peeked up at the mention of hope.
"What is it?" I quickly blurted. My eyes raising up at him.
"It is only you that can calm him."
"How so?"
"When he was hospitalized, he kept calling out your name, begging for forgiveness. I also heard what transpired at the office, the police couldn't change his mind against killing Anna but when he saw you, he let go of her. You only can calm him but he wouldn't be going home, I'll have to run some physical test on him."
"He was fine, i know it."
"He was fine. But that woman must had said something to trigger the hatred he had for her, for now try to make sure that woman never come close to him and your family "
I reached home in no time and met Zack in the sitting room. Immediately he saw me, he got up. "Where were you?" He asked with concern.
"I'm fine. Just got back from the hospital. Rowan is fine, don't worry." He reached for me and gave me the most soothing hug ever. I was tired, tired from running his businesses and checking after my husband. I hadn't even slept and i think I'll be having insomnia soon.
"I don't know what that woman must had said to Rowan to have triggered his sanity" He led me to a seat. "I want to see that woman, now."
"No. You don't have to see her, Anna is extremely dangerous as of now. She could harm you and besides you need rest, go on to your room, I'll see to some businesses at his office."
I nodded and smiled faintly. "Thank you very much. I'm so grateful"
~Zack's pov~
I walk into his office and sat down on his seat. I took the documents he had been working on, a merge between onapolis and ours. I was surprised to see this document signed and i immediately contacted his secretary.
"Yes, sir"
"Who signed this document?" I asked. I knew Rowan left it unsigned before going on his honeymoon. We've been trying to sign an alliance with this company but they refused, asking us to come up with a better proposal. Rowan had even given up on them.
"It was Mrs. Aubrey. She came over and asked everyone of what the project was all about, then we led her into the proposes of the project. Then today, our client called me and said they've accepted the offer, that the presentation was a good one."
I was stunned. This is what we've been working on for ages and just a day, Aubrey solved the problem. Who exactly is this woman?.
~Anna's pov~
"You don't understand, Nels. He almost killed me. Infact that woman saved my life, and what did you say again?, go on with the plan?. No, i don't want to die now."
"Shut up!!. You, crazy woman. No one's asking you to die. If you stay away, no one is gonna believe Tyler's his son. No one"
"Leave me alone, when you find a better plan, contact me"
"If you don't do this, Anna. I'm going to kill you. I'm gonna end your life and kill your son."
"Leave my son out of this. He has nothing to do with this"
"Try me then"
He stomped out of the room in anger. I ran over to my son and hugged him tightly. "Don't worry, daddy will come around "
