Chapter 16
Title: Adventure.
We were out hiking together with our big boots and bag packs. "This is so tiring" Sara cries out. "I asked you to stay behind but you refused." Saeed said walking past her. "Don't worry, if Aubrey can do it, i can" I turned around and smiled. "You can do it darling" I urged.
A sharp outcry was heard and we all turned to see Sara on the floor. "Sara" Saeed shouted and we both rushed to her form on the floor. She layed unconscious. "Back her immediately. We have to take her to the hospital." Rowan says and helped him up put Sara at his back.
We settled down at the reception waiting patiently for the doctor. I looked at unrelaxed Saeed who stood tapping one foot on the floor. "She will be fine" I assured him.
The doctor came out shortly and we ran over to him. "Where's my wife?,how is she?"
"Calm down. Your wife is two weeks pregnant"
"What?" I and Rowan turned and looked at each other.
We were all sitted beside Sara as Saeed rubbed her palms. If anything had happened to Sara, i would had felt guilty all my life. I put her up to this, if I hadn't suggested hiking, she wouldn't had fell.
I noticed a hand on my shoulder and i turned to see Rowan smiling reaasuredly. That sort of calmed me down. "You knew right?" Saeed asked her. "I only found out this morning. I was planning on telling you tonight."
"It's okay. All that matters is that you're fine as well as our baby"
I and Rowan decided to move out of the city, Ras Ai khaimah was a great bustling city. With white sand beaches, jagged mountains, and terracotta sands filling the desert dunes. It was a great place for spending time enjoying the thrills of adventure. I was astonished at the beautiful landscape and it was a great place to capture.
"I wished i had a camera" I said dreamily. "Same here. You love it right?" I nodded happily and bent down to remove my boot.
Once i stepped my foot on the white sand, it felt really warm under my feet. "Come on" I urged him. He followed my instructions with a smile. I bent down, i carried a handful of sand and playfully poured it on him. "You" He shouted and pursued me as i took to my heels.
I came out of the bathroom on towel and that was when Rowan walked in and closed the door behind. "Dress well. I've been invited to the festival down town. You'll like it"
"Are you sure about that?" I was tired and needed sleep. "I don't know" He replies.
"Have you spoken to Sara and Saeed yet" I asked.
"Yes. They had just returned back to the hotel. And they would be leaving first thing tomorrow. They also invited us over. We'll visit before leaving Dubai"
"That's very thoughtful of you"
I walked into the bathroom and put a nightwear over my head.
When i came out, a plate of pizza has been set on the table. "Wanna see movie with me?"
"I'd love to but I'm very tired. My legs ache from running too much" He scoffed. "Come here, I'll give you a feet message"
I smiled and layed beside him. I kept my feets on top of his leg while he messaged them. "Hey, why don't we visit the spa tomorrow?"
"That sounds like a perfect idea. Then, we see a movie" I nodded.
"Rowan" I called. "Yes, Riry?"
"Do you miss everyone at home?" I asked.
"Mm mm. I have you here with me. No one to miss." I hit him on his hand. "You don't miss your mother?" I asked.
"Huhhh..no" He replied in a low voice. "I'll call her now" I grabbed my phone from the bed and he snatched it from me. "What're you doing?"
"Nope. She might be sleeping or doing some other things. Just don't disturb her"
"Why don't you want to call her?" I asked tightly. He frowned and handed me the phone. "You're so stubborn" I scoffed and dialed her number.
Aubrey: Hy, mummy.
Mom: My baby.
She shouted and Rowan rolled his eyes. Mom: Is everything all right?
Aubrey: 'Yes, mom. Everything's fine'
Mom: 'How's Rowan?'
Aubrey: 'He's right here. Messaging my feet'
Rowan looked up. His mom started laughing.
Mom: 'I can't believe Rowan had the soul'
Rowan: 'Mom'
Rowan shouted.
Mom:'Yes, my little bunny'
I chuckled.
Rowan: 'Don't call me that'
He says feeling embarrassed, I smirked. Mom: 'You'll always be my little bunny. Well, baby have a great time over there, I'm quite busy now'
Rowan:'Okay, mom. Goodnight'
Rowan glared at me.
"What?. I'm not the one who called you little bunny. What does that mean anyway?" He continued what he was doing. "She always addresses me with that when i was a boy. But I'm a man now. No more little bunny."
Coming back from spa, we entered the movie threatre. We bought pop corns and tickets. Once settled, the lights were taken and we waited for the show.
Coming out with our hands locked together like couples, eish we were a couple. He's my husband, he's mine. Don't ever forget that!. I seriously think i was the one being unfair to him, like i mean he had professed his love for me and i said nothing. The movie isn't far from the hotel so we walked.
"Interesting movie right?" I comments.
"Yes. It's worth my time. Daisy was really stupid to let him go at last" He said.
"It's not really her fault, Rowan. The relationship was nice until they turned it into a competition"
"You don't understand, I mean she shouldn't had called it a quit after all the struggles and games"
"It's really a game of love, isn't it?. Judith won at last" He added. "Huh huh..Judith didn't win. No one had Mike at last."
"I know she will seduce him again." I hit him playfully. "It's a movie, Rowan. It ends there " I laughed.
He turned towards me and held my hands together. We were the only ones standing together at the middle of the road. The evening breeze cooling off my hair backward and chilly on my skin. "I love your laugh" He mumbled. I blushed deeply. "I love your eyes"
"And I love your lips " He whispers and kissed me lightly on the lips. "We're going home tomorrow."
"And you will have to go to work" I chuckled. "Work has to wait. You come first. Can't we leave it to the next?"
"I have exams coming up. And I've worked so hard for it. It's my finals"
"What?. Why are you just telling me?"
"It never crossed my mind. Thank God you know now." He pressed his lips over my forehead and tucked my hair behind my ear. "Come let's go"
He mumbled and we continued our journey back to the hotel.
