Rita's POV
He has a girlfriend! He has a girlfriend!! He has a girlfriend okay?!
I battled with my mind when I entered the room.
So stop blushing and smiling stupidly at whatever he says. Finn is not being serious with you at all! He has a girlfriend and you have a boyfriend too! You have Zane! What is wrong with you Rita?
"I don't know" I shieked like a crazy woman.
I inhaled deeply then gasped out, picked up my phone to call Zane, probably I'll return to my right senses haven had a romantic conversation with him.
But Zane's contact was unreachable, I dailed his number over and over again but to no avail.
I clicked on Kikachat and scroll through so as to chat with Zane only to find out he was inactive and unavailable. This was so unusual of him neither did I wanna begin to panic yet. Zane will definitely reach out to me soon.
While expecting him, I went into the kitchen to cook dinner also carried out few domestic chores as if I was trying to fasten time.
Night time drew near quickly anyways, I retired to the room, picked up my phone. I was so shocked to find out that there was not a single call from Zane. I checked our chat, yet he wasn't online. This time, I began to panic a little, first I wondered what went wrong with Zane but just when I was about to exit the Kikachat application, I finally received a popped up message from Zane.
I heaved a sigh of relief although it was just an ordinary "Hi"
"Hello baby" I responded.
Come to think of it, Zane acted really hostile towards me the last time we spoke. Forgive and forget they say
"I have been expecting you Zane" I said.
"I was busy" He replied.
"Alright, I'll call you now, so we could talk better" I sent a message and I was switched to a voice call which he declined and sent me a message instead.
"I'm in no mood for voice calls" Was what he typed.
"What's wrong with you Zane? Talk to me" I knew something was definitely wrong, now it took a while before he replied me.
"Nothing is wrong Rita"
I sighed: "Hmmm, I pretend to believe you. But why didn't you reach out to me sooner Zane? Why do you sound so plain and sheepish?"
"Rita" He called my name.
"Tell me what's wrong with you?"
"Like I said, I am very busy, super busy. I have a lot of compiled complicated task ahead of me, it is so tiring yet I managed to show up this minute"
Huh?
I had to type it same way I uttered the word;"Huh?" "Create time out of no time"
"Anyways, I have only come to say Hi, take good care of yourself"
He ended the chat and became inactive again.
I was really baffled. When I tried to call him again, his number kept saying unreachable.
I was heartbroken even though a part of me tried to assure me that Zane was truly busy while the other pessimistic side of me says Zane is avoiding me and thereby, drawing our relationship to an abrupt end.
Just so he knows, the upcoming two days break is Nationwide; we could spend it online with each other after all, lovers go out together during whatsoever holiday even Evelyn will be spending the day at Adam's.
I groaned softly,
Now it seemed and felt like I was single again.
I was lost in thought till I didn't know when I doze off.

My default alarm woke me up as early as 6:00am the following morning, jerking me up from the bed to go prepare for work. Today's holiday!
Geez, I turned off the alarm and tried to catch the sleep again but I couldn't.
I reached for my phone to check if I got a call or message from Zane, sad to find out that there was none and when I dailed his number, it says his phone was switched off.
Anyways, I sent him a brief Happy Workers' day off note on Kikachat, hoping he will get back to me once he sees it.
I resumed a boring day, I checked through my phone times without number even when I got bored of scrolling through the toxic gist feed, I didn't wanna chat up with any random person either. Once, I dropped my phone, I picked it up again because I had nothing else to do.
I paced around my living room to bedroom, laid on the bed on different posture and postion, I re-read my former conversation with Zane, starting from the very beginning and it made me smile especially when I came across our naughty pictures. I gazed at them lasciviously till I was satisfied then I deleted all of them.
C'mon I should have deleted all this pictures since! What if someone took my phone and scroll through my conversation with Zane? Someone like Evelyn could intrude into my privacy.
Come to think of it, where does deleted images moves to?
I giggled, I knew I was only over-thinking but for pete's sake, I do not want any alarming surprises in the nearest future.
I tried everything to kill boredom but nothing was working out, I comported myself to be an understanding girlfriend and awaited the arrival of my boyfriend whom never showed up.
I fell into a long nap intentionally as an escaped from ennui and despair but once I woke up from the seista, the boring day continued all together with dejection and weariness.
I sat by the window side and stared at people outside as if I were a locked up princess.
