GOOD NEWS
Rita's POV
“Is he the guy you choose over me?” Finn asked ridiculously.
I scoffed; “Zane is not just an ordinary guy, he is my main man and I'll choose him over and over again”
“Then I guess it is really high time I stop tryna get you, I am very sorry Rita” At last, he belatedly conceded that he deliberately stopped me travelling out just because he was jealous that I wanted to go see another guy.
I was in grouse, even when he offered me to seat; I stood Akimbo.
Guilt-ridden, he spoke to me sedately; “You can go to him next month, all bills on me” He continued; “You just said that you spent all your life savings”
“Hmmmm” I inhaled heavily tryna calm down now as I finally took a seat.
“I still feel really bad” I exhaled, face palming myself.
“Rita” He called my name in such a solemn way that I had to look at him.
“One more thing” He said.
“I have been thinking of promoting you to the official section of the company. And I will also increase your salary. Anything you want at all, name it. I would love to idemnify you this way, what do you think?”
I couldn't believe my ears, I was dumbfounded.
Seconds earlier I was so mad at him for ruining my plans, I felt like tearing him apart but now I was startled and flabbergasted by this unexpected opportunity he’s offering me.
Yet I scoffed again; “Do you think you can bribe me?” I tried as much to show no joyous expression on my face.
“Oh no! No, not at all” He replied.
“You and your friends are doing a very great and hardworking job and because they are your friends, I will offer them a token of my appreciation too” He said.
“But, why are you transferring me to an office?”
“Isnt that what you’ve wanted?”
“Adam and Evelyn wants it too”
“Ohh” Finn mouthed.
“But I just said I will appreciate them for their work weldone” He paused. “Or maybe you are right, I want to transfer only (just) you to the office because I love you but it's not a bribe, I swear”
Now I was just a tad little bit mad at him but still sad about the incident that happened today. Well I’ll be getting a better compensation after all. I'm a little hurt though.
“I will inform the scretary to prepare your promotion letter, make sure you get it first thing tomorrow and resume at once” He smiled at me. He seemed to notice that I was impressed.
“Very well then" I finally said and sighed in relief “I gotta go now” I stood on my feet.
“Err… I… I will…” He stuttered on purpose as he gestured his intention which I clearly understood.
Whenever I spend the closing hours at his office, or whenever it’s just both of us left in the office, he will offer to drive me in his car and drop me off at home. We are alone, it is somewhat awkward.
Finn promised he won't force anything yet he was smiling widely at me, penetrating his eyes into mine in such a romantic way.
“Bye Finn” I left his office without hesitating.

I got home exhaustedly but haven had a quick refreshing shower., I informed Zane that I was back from work, so he could switch to a voice call. Also, I already informed him earlier that I had something to tell him. I was supposed to be lying on his chest at this moment.
I breathe in and exhaled deeply to let go of the anxiety.
“It is about the surprise I have for you Zane” I said when he finally called.
“Oh! You are ready to reveal what it is. What is it?” He asked.
“Zane” I mentioned his name coldly: “ I wanted to come to Canada today” I finally told him.
“What?” He exclaimed.
“Yes, I wanted to surprise you but the annoying jerk I have as a boss didn't give me a break from work”
“Oops! Oops! Darn it!” The happy tone changed to a sad one.
“I promise I will come see you next month if you still can't come down here yet” I promised.
“Oh my God Rita! I am so excited to hear this” Then his voice lowered; “But I'm a little sad that you couldn't make it today. I am also disappointed in myself for bringing you down here whereas I am meant to come over”
“Oh nevermind about that, it is nothing. I understand how occupied you are and you already told me to wait till the end of the year but I just cannot wait to see you”
“I cannot wait to see you too my love. However, I am looking forward to next month”
“So next month it is”
“Haha, that makes it not a surprise anymore” Zane chuckled and I groaned slightly in a funny way so he could hear.
“Is there any other surprise to replace the lost surprise?” He asked.
“No Zane” Although I knew he was referring to my nude sneaky peak.
“Ugh! It’s been a while” He grumbled playfully.
“I know right, expect it very soon” I giggled. “But I do have a good news, for me, for you, actually for us” I chuckled.
“Shoot! I'm all ears”
“I have just been promoted and transferred to the official section! Which simply means; lesser work to do, less stress and this work is even more prestigious and respected” I announced.
“Oh my God Rita. I am so happy for you” I could hear him applauding.
“More Wins” He suddenly paused but when he spoke next, his voice sounded fierce. “Hold on, that CEO promoted you?”
“Yes” I answered.
“Why? Last I checked; you said he is one annoying jerk, he wants to date you and now he offered you the promotion you have always dreamt of…“ I interrupted him.
“And before you overthink further. There is nothing between him and I. Actually, Finn signed my request for a leave of absence to go see you and he suddenly took it back. Zane, I cried a river for you and I am only just recovering. So Finn gave me this job to make it up to me” I explained briefly.
Also I didn't want Zane to know that this particular CEO Finn is madly in love with me and he’s only being a good Samaritan because of his feelings for me. I didn't also disclose to Zane, how close Finn and I interact.
“Ugh! I get jealous when you talk about Finn or any other guy!” He hissed slightly and continued;” But you remember sweetheart, jealousy is a sign of love”
I smiled like he could see me. “I love you so much Zane” I uttered.
An idea suddenly popped into my heart.
“I think I've got something for you, it could erase every tension that niggles at you!” I told Zane.
“And what’s that?”
“Let’s get back to Kikachat” I hung up the call.
I changed into another Lingerie I got recently.
It was a Bikini-like lingerie; the upper piece w-covered only the nipple and the lower piece was more like a G - string, it revealed my curvy hipline and a tasteful amount of my soft bouncy a*s.
