**Annabelle**
My tummy grumbled slightly, obviously annoyed at the fact that it was being deprived of food and water.
If my calculations are right, I've been in here for about ten hours or more give or take.
I still don't understand the part I have to play in this epic revenge scheme of hers.
If she wanted to kill me, why not tell Renee to put a bullet me in instead of bringing me here. Or maybe her plan is to torture me to death. It's working perfectly because I already have a dead man on my conscience. My brain has been trying to find a work around on it but it's just too damn hard.
I even considered the fact that if he had said no to me from the start, he would still be alive. But no, I asked him to uncover the truth, I dragged him into this mess and so I'll have to bear it in mind for the rest of my life.
Speaking of Renee, I wonder what scheme Stephanie has him plotting. I hadn't laid eyes on him for hours now. I needed to warn Ava somehow. She was in danger, her baby was at risk and Fallon's death was fast approaching if something wasn't done quick.
I can't even seem to get lose, I have to think of something, anything. Send a message at least. The first chance I get, I'll make my move. I can only hope and pray that I'm not too late.
**Third Person's POV**
The kind office went about his day working on other cases. His mind was not at rest, something was amiss with the John case. His phone would hopefully shed some light to it.
A part of him hope and prayed he was wrong. If he wasn't, there's a whole lot of messy situations coming up soon.
"Inspector, here's the phone. Cracked as you requested."
The office handed it over. He collected it with shaky hands leaving it on his desk.
Now that the truth was only feets away, it felt so hard to teach over and grab it.
"Oh fuck it."
He curses and takes the phone unlocking it in one go.
At first, he has the instinct to check the pictures like he presumed but suddenly he changed his mind.
His instincts told him to check the call logs and he did just that. In the past two days, all his calls were made to just one number. That's a really strange thing to do despite the fact that you might be a loner.
He carefully copied the number out deciding not to take a risk by calling.
Afterwards, he decided it was time to satisfy his curiosity and check the pictures that were taken.
Opening the gallery, there was just one folder with one picture in it.
"Fucking weird."
He curses again before clicking.
An even weirder thing occured when it turned out to be the picture of a woman. She covered her face slightly but still. Could he have been stalking her or something? Did the number belong to the lady in the picture?
He placed his hands on his chin. This case is very mischievous like he suspected. If he went to the captain with this, it wouldn't mean anything. The best thing to do right now would be to investigate further.
"Officer..."
He beckoned taking a picture of the picture from the phone and handed his phone to her deciding to keep the original.
"I want this number analyzed, I want to know who it belongs to as soon as possible."
He ordered handing the piece of paper to her.
"I also want to know who this woman is...."
"Isn't this Stephanie... Was her last name again?"
"You know her...."
"Yeah, she used to be a top model until this guy, Fallon mitch dumped her ass and married another model, Ava max. It's all over the news actually. Turns out Ava got pregnant for him which is why they had to get married. Funny story is that the guy seems to be a player because news has it he was with another woman."
"That's really interesting. Good work officer. Get me comprehensive details on everyone involved. Stephanie, Ava, Fallon and the mysterious lady. I want to know who they are and what's currently happening to them. And find out who that number belongs to. If you can, don't tell anyone about this until we have a solid lead to go onto."
"Alright."
She said and walked away.
"I'm getting closer to uncovering this mystery."
**Annabelle**
Stephanie has officially gone M.I.A leaving me a starving mess. If I don't get some food in soon, I'll faint or pass out.
The door creaked open and she finally walked in.
Miss me darling. I can tell by that look on your face."
She smirks. As she's not with a chair I figure it's going to be a short visit.
"Food..."
I manage to blurt out.
"You'll get it on my own time. For now I have a special game for us to play."
"I don't want to play a game."
I said completely drained of energy.
"But why my darling, if you choose right, I'll give you a three course meal."
She got the laptop out and faced me.
"What sick game are you playing now?"
"Oh no game, remember when I said you're going to enjoy everything with front roll seats, well the time has come and this is opening night..."
She turned it on and it show Ava. She clicked and it switched to Fallon.
"You see, technology has a funny way of messing with us. Fallon dearest is connected to some medical whatever. It needs to constantly work unless dear Fallon goes bye bye. What happens if I say mistakenly turn it off."
She clicked and Fallon started gasping for air.
"Stop it!"
I screamed and she turned it back on.
"Great, I obviously have your attention."
"What the fuck do you want from me!"
"It's easy. I have Renee outside the hospital with a silencer gun. In ten minutes he has orders to rush in and murder little Fallon in Ava's womb by any means necessary."
"You're sick!"
"Nope, just bored."
"Now you darling could be the one who swoops in and saves the day, want to know how, by clicking. That's how. You either stop Fallon from getting oxygen or Renee kills Ava. We both know which would be beneficial to you so don't try to act all morally upright. Ten minutes and Renee kills Ava and little Fallon and guess what, I kill Fallon too. You can't save them both so if I were you, I'll make a choice. Hint, pick Fallon."
She says with a devilishly smirk. In the moment, I knew I was doomed and Stephanie had totally lost it.
