CHAPTER 23
Ala threw a small fireball at the woman through the bars.
The woman screamed.” BITCH!” The woman transformed in front of them.
Black and grey wiry hair, with a crooked nose.
“WHO ARE YOU!” Rex yelled through Eric.
“I’m the witch Riker wanted to hire to capture your essence.” She said with a toothless grin.
“And I would have if Alaina hadn't butted in and had me imprisoned, so she could have your powers for herself.”
“Alaina was never going to give it to Riker.
I would have!” she cackled.
“Oh, She's so dead .” Teala said in a calm voice.
Ice shot from Ala's right hand and the witch was frozen in place.
Ala made an ice orb in her hand and threw it at the witch.
The witch exploded and shattered into a million pieces.
Ala wiped her hands together, “What a bitch.” She couldn't even lie to save her ass.”
They walked to the next cell and it was empty. So they went to the next one.
A beautiful woman with white hair and crystal eyes stood there looking at them.
Eric and Ala looked at each other and then at the woman.
‘What’s your story?’ Ala asked.
“I’m Crystal”. They looked at each other again.
“Are you feeling deja vu?”Eric asked Ala.
“Please, I am Crystal.”
“That witch was in the cell next to mine in the dungan.”
“Riker put me there because I refused to help him.”
“He always held my children two cells over so I couldn't touch them.”
“He was an evil man and I would rather die than help him.” Firefox.”
I’m an oracle. A real oracle. She said,
“I will never do you harm.”
“How do you know who I am?” Teala asked through Ala.
“All oracles know you. You are a part of us.” Our past and future.”
“Let her out. She speaks the truth.” Teala said.
The guard released Crystal. She bowed at Eric and Ala.
“Thank you.” She said in a small voice.
Ala led her to her children. The squeals erupt from the children.
MOMMY! They yelled.
Open! Eric instructed the guard.
The children were released and they flung themselves into their mothers arms.
Ala teared watching Crystal reunite with her children.
“Crystal, come with me and bring your pups.” Ala said
Ala showed Crystal and her pups to a room.
Get cleaned up and I will send some clothes to you and the children.
“I’ll send someone for you, in about an hour.” Ala told them.
Crystal gave Ala a huge hug, while her pups held on to her.
After they left Crystal.
Eric asked “how she had known the witch was lying.”
“I can sense when someone is lying. I don’t know how , but I can .”
