When I walk through the door, Chrissy and Conrad are already home curled up on the sofa watching t.v.
“Hey, guys,” I say, greeting them.
“Nessa!” Chrissy jumps off the sofa and wraps her arms around me.
“Girl... I was worried when you didn’t come home last night.” She holds me tightly.
“Can't breath.” I struggle against her hug.
“The baby,” I say to her when she refused to let me go.
Like a wildfire branding her arms, she drops them.
“I'm sorry.” I apologize, dragging air into my lungs.
“I nearly puked all over the restaurant' floor once the empowering smell of fish hit my nose. We left and without thinking I removed my blouse in front of Luca and knew just by touching me I was pregnant.” I plonk myself on the sofa next to Conrad.

“And I fell asleep till about Four this morning.” I glare back at her.
low whistle leaves Conrad’s mouth.
“I guess you weren’t kidding when you said you were sleep deprived..” I look at him and roll my eyes.
“And...?” Chrissy asks again.
“And he cooked me breakfast before leaving for Italy again with Rosalia.” I look at her wondering what the big deal is about me falling asleep.

“Well, he said His SON will bear his name, and he wants to be in his life.”
“Really?” Chrissy says sounding surprised.
“Yes really. He also asked me to marry him while he was balls deep inside of me in my damn classroom.” I cover my face with my hands feeling the heat rise on my cheeks.
“Oh my, Gawd!” She screams with excitement.
“You had sex in your classroom you dirty whore!” She glares at me laughing.
A chuckle comes from Conrad and I elbow him in the ribs causing him to seize instantly.
“And that’s the part that has you all excited?” I roll my eyes at her.
“Well yeah! I mean of course I’,m thrilled he’s going to be a part of the baby’s life and he wants to wife you up. But can we just take a minute and admire the fact that you fucked at your place of work, that’s surrounded by kids?” he smacks her leg, laughing.
“For fucks sakes.” I stand up and push her back down on the sofa next to Conad.
He snakes his arms around her and holds her tightly.
“Shhhhh, my love.” He says chuckling in her ear. “Our friend here was sex deprived like you had pointed out.” They both burst out in a fit of laughter.
“Shut up!” I snap at them, poking the fingers.
It causes them to laugh louder and I can’t stop the sides of my mouth curling up into a Smile.

I turn and leave the living room, I throw my bag on my bed, taking my heels off and grabbing something comfortable to wear after my bath.
After I've run the bath, filling it up with bubbles and lit the scented candles. I lower myself into the heated water, instantly groaning as my body starts to relax.
Moments later my mind starts to replay what happened at the supermarket.
Why was Mikal there and what the fuck did he mean by soon? The creep wasn’t scared about getting caught. I shuddered at the mere thought of him being so close to me, it made me feel vulnerable and weak. I start scrubbing until my skin turns red and looks raw.
I've never felt so damn dirty in my entire life. I pray Anton doesn’t breathe a word to Luca, it's one less lecture I’d like to receive upon his return back home. I don’t want to worry about Chrissy or Conrad. I know they still feel guilty and horrid about the way I found out about Rosalia. Even though I told them I didn’t blame them, that the blame solely lied with Luca.

I continue to soak in the bath till my skin starts to wrinkle and the water turns cold. I get out and quickly get dressed as I pull the plug, and watch the water drain from the tub. I
dry my hair, brush my teeth then head to my room for bed. Thinking about Mikal has made me lose my appetite completely.

I go to my room and sit on my bed with my phone. I open up my message link to Luca and send him a quick text before I crash, knowing he won’t receive it for a few more hours.
