XXXIV
I open my eyes, waking up peacefully. Grining like an idiot, I look down at Axel who's draped over me like covers. He's softly snoring with open mouth and I quickly pray to God that he doesn't drool over me.
His head is still resting on my breasts, we're kind of in the same position as we fell asleep.
With Axel, I slept nice and without any more nightmares, like a part of my unconciousness sensed his presense.
I couldn't believe how much my life has changed ever since I moved here. Before I almost had no friends, there we just people with who I talked. And not to mention guys; some hit on me sometimes, I'll admit that, but none of them interested me because they were mostly douchebags.
When I think about it, Axel is a douchebag, too. Actually, he's even more of a douchebag than they were. However, he also has a sweet side, and that side is mostly the reason why he's here, in my bed, with me. He is the main reason for the drastic change in my life; he annoys me, he infuriates me, he makes me want to pull all of my and his hair out of his scalp.
But, he makes me feel welcomed, he makes me happier than I was before because it's like my life has a bit more meaning than it did before. I'm absolutely terrified of that because I know for a fact that my feelings for him will grow if I continue to spend time with him and I honestly don't see us stop hanging out. Love means a huge deal to me and I really, really want the person I fall in love with to be there to catch me.
And I'm not sure Axel would do that.
I don't think he would cheat on me, I don't think he would betray me like that or that he'd leave me, but I also don't think he's ready for something as real as I want it to be.
He's afraid of love, but so am I.
The sound of footsteps going up the stairs brings me out of my thoughts.
Oh shit, shit, shit.
"Axel, wake up." I whisper and shake his shoulders but get no reaction from him.
"Axel, you need to hide! Wake up!" I say a bit louder, shaking him with much more force, panicking.
He doesn't move and the steps are getting closer, so I do what every normal person would.
I push him off my bed to the floor.
He groans and opens his eyes, but I quickly look down at him, putting my index finger over my lips, signaling that he needs to be quiet.
He simply frowns and glares at me in answer and I sit up on my bed.
"Honey, are you okay? What was that?" my dad opens the door and turns on my light.
"I fell off my bed." I say, smiling.
Another lie, great.
"Are you okay?" he asks and I nod.
"I'm fine. What's wrong?" I ask because nobody ever comes to my room in the morning.
"Nothing's wrong, I just came to tell you that your mother and I might not come home till tomorrow. I'm taking her on a little trip. She's been a bit stressed out lately, I think this will be good for her." he says, smiling.
"Wow, that's great, dad. I'll just sleep over at Amber's then." I say and he grins.
"Okay. She seems like a great girl."
"She is." I reply. "When are you two leaving?" I ask.
"In about fifteen minutes, you should come downstairs to say goodbye to your mother." he answers and I nod.
"Sure. So you're not going to work today?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"No, your dad is having a few days off." he answers and I grin.
"Good. He deserves it."
He laughs and exists my room, closing the door behind him.
I sigh and lay down on my bed, turning on my side to look down at Axel.
He is laying on his back, his arm under his head and looking up at the ceiling, deep in thought.
"Is something wrong?" I ask him and he looks at me.
He stares at me for a few moments before shaking his head.
"No, nothing." he replies.
"You can tell me, you know." I say, not believing him and he sighs.
"It's nothing, it's just that you're very close with your parents and like your dad. And he, well, he doesn't like me and stuff." he says and I frown slightly.
"What are you trying to say?" I ask.
"Well I'm just a bit worried if one day you'll have to pick between me and your parents, and you'll pick... You know, not me." he continues and I take a deep breath and take his hand in mine.
I spread his fingers and begin to examine them, just touching his hand.
"I won't ever have to choose." I begin and then think about what to say next.
I don't want to say that I won't pick my parents, because I really am close with them, but...
I don't want to lose Axel either.
"There's no such thing as choosing between you and my family, Axel, don't worry about that. I'm sure that over some time they'll accept you and it's all going to be okay." I say and he purses his lips.
"Yeah, but what if they don't accept me?" he asks.
I kiss his hand and entertwine our fingers.
"We'll talk about this later, okay? I'll go and say goodbye to mum." I say and lay his hand on the bed.
I stand up and go downstairs, hug my mum and tell her to have fun. She's all smiling and being happy because of my dad's surprise and it makes me happy, too.
When I return to my room, Axel's laying on my bed, typing on his phone. He puts it away when he sees me and I squeak and jump on top of him. He chuckles and I laugh, putting my hands in his hair, tugging softly on his curls.
He puts his hands on my waist and I put my face close to his, our noses almost touching. "Good morning, mister Jarvis.” I say, trying to sound seductive and he grins.
"Good morning, miss Watson. How do you do?"
I bite my lip. "Good, sir. You?«
He half-smiles. »I'm perfect.« he answers and slowly traces his fingers down, lower, until he reaches the hem of his shirt and puts his hands on my burning skin. He nudges his nose with mine and comes so close that I can almost taste his lips. I close my eyes in anticipation.
His hands are moving up and down my back and then his lips touch mine.
My body ignites instantly and I press my lips against his with more force.
I tug on his hair harder and he moans in my mouth.
He traces the outline on my lips with his, softly biting it, and when he reaches my bottom lip, he sucks on it, opening my mouth and sliding his tongue in. This time, I moan and roll my hips against his. His hands move down to mu bum, and he squeezes it, hard. I smile into the kiss.
"You really do like my bum, don't you?" I ask and he nods enthusiastically.
"Very much." he says and I laugh.
He then joins our mouths again and before I even realize it, he turns us around so that he's on top. His lips leave mine, and they slowly move down to my ear lobe on which he nibbles.
I curl my toes in pleasure and before I even realize what I'm saying, I say:"Let's not go to school today." He lifts his head up and looks at me, a smirk on his lips.
"I think I might be a bad influence on you."
