When I hear his laugh, I regain control of my body. I begin to sprint with full speed away from the house, away from him.
But I'm too late.
He catches me at the bottom of Axel's steps and puts his hand over my mouth so that I wouldn't scream. I trash in his tight grip, tears falling down my cheeks as I try to escape him. This can't be happening. This is... It's too much. How much can one person go through before they break?
"Shh." he whispers in my ear and lifts me up, trying to pull me into the shadows with him. I cry out and bit down on his hand, hard. He screams in pain and loosens his grip. I take the opportunity to run.
I run as fast as I can, needing to get away from him. I can feel him close behind me, I can hear his feet hitting the ground and it's giving me even more power to run. In the fear and horror I forget to pay attention to where I'm going and I can feel my heart fall into my stomach when I'm met with a dead end street.
"No, no, no, no." I whisper to myself, touching the brick wall in front of me. The steps behind me are getting closer and closer and I can hear his laugh.
"You're trapped, beautiful." he says and I turn around to look at him. He smiles and takes another step towards me.
"Don't come any closer." I warn him and lift up my index finger.
He puts his hand over his chest and inhales. "Or what?"
I don't reply and we stand in silence for a few moments, looking at each other like two wild beasts. He takes another step closer, and as soon as he does, I scream.
I scream with full power, making sure to be as loud as possible.
His eyes widen, and he slaps me, hard. I fall to the ground, my cheek burning anf I loudly sob.
"You fucking bitch!" he hisses at me and spits on me. I close my eyes, not wishing to see whatever will happen to me. He harshly yanks me up by my hair and I hiss in pain.
"You know, I was planning on being gentle." he whispers in my ear and puts his thumb on my lips, slowly trailing it down my neck. My breath hitches in my throath. "But now, I just don't think you deseve it." he continues and caresses my cheek with the back of his hand.
I gulp as hot tears continue to stream down my cheeks.
This is it, I know it. I can feel his hand going lower and lower down my neck, towards my chest.
"Open your eyes, slut. I want you to see this." he says and I shake my head, keeping my eyes closed.
"I said open your eyes!" he shouts and slaps me again on the same cheek.
I scream out in pain, my cheek burning with pain.
Suddenly, I can hear another pair of feet taking a step into the dead end alleyway, followed by a gun's safety being taken off.
"Get the fuck away from her or I'll blow your fucking brains out."
Axel.
My tears begin to flow with much more force and it feels like I can breathe again.
I open my eyes and in the dark alley, in the moonlight I swear that he looks like an angel.
My angel.
The disgusting animal purses his lips and closes his eyes.
"Why the fuck do you always come at the wrong time, Jarvis?"he asks.
"Are you fucking deaf? Get the fuck away from her!" Axel shouts, his gun pointed at us. My captor releases the grip on my hair, and I think he'll let me go so I take a step away from him, but he stops me by putting his hand around my throat and pressing my back against his front.
"I'm not deaf, but I'm not letting this beauty go so easily. I didn't think you had such a great taste in women." he says and I gasp when I feel his tongue sliding down the cheek he hadn't hit.
I feel like vomiting and when I look up at Axel, it looks like he is, too. His expression is a mixture of rage and helplessness; he can't shoot because he might shoot me.
And then, I feel my captor's hand sneak around to my front and grab my breast harshly. I gasp and close my eyes, sobbing.
"Don't be selfish, Jarvis. We could both have her."
At that, Axel's had enough.
I hear his steps coming closer and I open my eyes in the last moment to see him rip me away from the asshole. His touch feels heavenly, like everything I've ever craved, combined into one single person's touch. I quickly move behind him and see Axel knee the guy in the balls.
I smile at the sight.
He crumbles to the floor and Axel aims a gun at him.
"Axel, no." I say and touch his arm.
"Stay the fuck away from this, Soph!" he shouts and my eyes widen in horror.
No, no, he can't shoot him. He can't go to jail.
"Axel, I swear I'll never speak another word to you if you kill this man!" I shout and he stills.
He stays still for a few moments, considering his options. And then, he hits the guy with a gun on the side of his head with full force. "You deserve much worse than death, you fucking skum!" he spits at him as he lays on the ground, barely concious.
Axel then moves his gun, aimes it at his hand which was on my breast, and shoots.
I gasp, covering my mouth, jumping back. The guy cries out and grabs his hand.
"Don't ever fucking touch my girl again, am I clear?" Axel shouts at his face.
The guy squints his eyes at him. "You're a fucking psycho!"
Axel aims the gun at his head. "I said am I fucking clear?!"
"Yes! Fuck!"
He then takes a step away from him and turns around to look at me, a wild look in his eyes.
He lowers his gun.
We stand like that for a moment, looking at each other. I look at the guy on the floor, his hand bleeding heavily, and there's blood on his head as well. Axel almost killed him.
My whole body shivers at that thought, and I feel my knees give in. I begin to fall to the ground, but a pair of hands catch me before I do.
"Shit, Soph." Axel whispers. "Come, let's get out of here." he says and lifts me up in his arms, carrying me bridal style.
