Third Person’s POV

Grace decided to change the topic and ask something else other than his work.
“That man that I saw in the photo...not exactly a photo exactly, small painting…”
“Yes! Just because he is a vampire. One cannot take a clear picture of them or their real faces could be seen by everyone.”
“But he is your brother, isn't it?”
“Yes, he is my brother, but not ‘real’.”
“Not real?”
“Hmm. We have different parents.”
“Oh! Then what about Allison? She had written that you both were her brothers!”
“That’s because she is OUR real sister. But we are not real brothers.”, He said, making her more confused than she already was.
“Okay. This is confusing. From what I understand either your mother or father, married to Wyatt’s mother or father, right?”
“Hmm”
“That’s why you are a werewolf and your brother is a vampire?”
“No! This has nothing to do with that. In fact I am the bastard’s son.”, He stated without a flicker in his expression, while from the inside, it was killing him to say so.
“Zayden!!”, Grace wanted to scold Zayden for being so blunt. Though Zayden didn’t express it but she knew he didn’t like sharing this piece of information. She quickly hugged him. “I am sorry! I am so sorry! I didn;t know”, She apologized. She had no idea about his pain but one thing was for sure that no one like themselves calling by this word.
“Wow! And there I thought you would run a mile away from me as soon as I will tell you the truth.
“I told you that I wont judge you for what happened in your past. Plus, this is not your fault. It is your father’s fault.”
“In that case, let me tell you that I don’t even know who my father is.”
“What do you mean?”
Zayden took a deep breath, as he knew that he would have to tell her from the beginning. “This was the incident when my mother was a minor. She...she was Omega by her rank and used to work in the packhouse. During the Alpha ceremony, many people from different packs had come there and out of the two of the Alphas had raped her. She didn’t tell anybody as she was too ashamed to talk about it. Also, she was a minor then and didn't know well about the consequences of what happened that day. So, when her parents found out about her pregnancy one month later, they threw her out of the house.
She didn’t have any place to go and the pack members insulted her more when they found out the reason. So, to save herself from more embarrassment and mockery, she left the pack and entered another pack near it. There an omega found her wandering in the street like a rogue. He approached her and after hearing her sad story, he promised her that he would give her a job with which she would be able to live in that pack.
Being hopeless, she became very happy when she heard that Omega. She thought of him as an Angel who had come to save her life! So, she followed him to his house. There she was welcomed by the Omega’s mate and was fed very well. They treated her very nicely and this went on for a week.
After a week, that Omega introduced her to another Beta and told her about her job. She was horrid when she heard the proposal. He was actually preparing her to be a member of some fucking whore house. She obviously denied it. The cover of the ‘goodness’ that the omega was displaying till now was blown, and when he threatened her with her baby’s life. He asked for the payment of all the food and clothes that he had provided her the whole week. She didn’t have a penny then.
She complained about this to his mate but was heartbroken when she heard her say something like ‘it’s fun and nothing to be ashamed of!’
It was now she understood why that omega was trying to help her that day. It was not out of humanity, but he was planning to sell her to whore house. After all, she was very beautiful and anyone would have bought her.
She tried to run away the next day but got caught before she could even step out of the pack. Bothe that omega and his mate threatened her, that if she would try to run again, they would kill her baby at the moment. She had no other choice but to obey. The head of the whorehouse had made the deal that she would buy her after her delivery as nobody wanted to fuck a pregnant woman.
After two months, I was born, that omega was almost ready to sell her but fortunately, the buyer was out of the city at that time for some months. She was very happy when she heard about this because she wanted to use this time to spend with her newborn son.
But all hell broke loose when that omega’s mate died just after the delivery of his newborn baby boy. He was devastated and didn’t know what to do with the newborn son of his! So, he decided to chase another woman as his mate for his son and the first person that he saw was my mother.
My mother thought it would be better to marry that psycho omega than to become a whore. So, she agreed. They marked each other and mated but she didn’t know that the omega would go crazy later. He started drinking and abusing her. He thought that my mother was the one who killed his mate. This went on for as long as he lived.
“Why didn;t she do anything?”, Grace whispered.
“She couldn’t, as he was her mate and it was not easy to leave their mates in those times, especially when they don’t have backup plans. Domestic violence was like a daily routine. Since he provided her food and shelter, she never complained. But things turned worse when she stopped going out for work. We boys were growing up at a very fast rate. My mother didn’t want us to see something like that. She even talked about this to that Omega, whom I call my father. But he never listened to her.
He was just concerned about his son, Wyatt, who was human as his first mate was human. I, on the other hand, was like trash in his house. So, when I turned six or seven. I don’t remember exactly but from that age, he started making me work at another's home. I didn't complain as my mother told me not to do so. She loved us both equally and so she never complained about why her one son had to work like shit while the other went to school to study.
