Third Person’s POV

As soon as Grace saw Zayden enter the packhouse, she followed him. She was stunned to realize that he was so lost in his anger that he didn’t even notice her following him. When she heard his roaring sound, she already knew that he was not in a good mood. Moreover, she could feel what he was feeling. He was made and sad at the same time.
She had remained silent all the while outside the closed door. She decided to give him privacy. It was evident to her that his mood had something to do with the recent incident. She slid down and sat on the floor, with her back facing the door. She came up with all kinds of theories as to what must be the reason for her husband’s sudden change in mood. Her thoughts were halted when she heard her husband’s voice.
“Grace, go back to our room.”, She heard but instead of leaving from there, she kept quiet and continued to sit there. She decided to stay there until he would open the door.
“I can still feel your presence outside the door, Grace. I will count till three if you will still not leave from here till then, then you will have to face my anger. 1….2….3”, The door was wide open and Grace was standing on the opposite side of the door with a concerned expression on her face but the glare that she received from him made her move a step back.
“I am not in a good mood right now so better go back to our room. I will talk to you tomorrow.”, He said deeply and was about to close the door when she quickly ducked and entered the room.
“Grace I said LEAVE.”, he shouted the last word which made her shit scared. His golden eyes could kill someone with that expression. But she knew that he wouldn’t hurt her, right?
“Grace…”, before Zayden would have shouted at her again, she launched herself on him and kissed him on his lips. Zayden went numb for a second. Her kiss was like water thrown over fire.
He couldn’t believe that she kissed him. His earlier thoughts were washed away for a while and all he could feel were her lips before he immediately responded, just what Grace wanted. She wanted to divert his mind so that his anger would meet. And it worked.
Zayden kissed her like never before. He got lost in it and lifted her above the ground through her waist, still kissing her. He walked to the nearby table, which was much more like a single bed, and laid her on it, and got over her. They never broke the kiss, and Grace let him do what he wanted. She just wanted him to calm down. That’s it.
She felt his hand go inside her nightdress, which made her a little nervous. She didn’t know the consequence would be this. She wasn’t ready for it. Not at an office table, for god’s sake!
The feel of his hand on her bare waist which traveled up very close to her blossoms made her lose all her sanity. She could feel him grinding his lower body and could easily feel his arousal. But suddenly he stopped and got off her, only to lay beside her. He hugged her as if she was his life jacket.
“Zayden…”
“Hmm”, She felt him dip his head on the crook of her neck.
“Can you tell me what’s troubling you?”, She asked him softly.
SILENCE
“You won’t answer me, right?”, She asked again but got no response in return. “Fine! How about I share one of my secrets with you and you will share the fact which is troubling you, okay?”
“From the past few weeks, I have been having the same dream again and again. In that dream, a woman was burned alive in the sunlight while her boyfriend kept begging in front of his father to leave her but he didn’t show any mercy. Later on, he killed his own father by chopping his head mercilessly. You might think it strange but do you know what I keep seeing your face instead of that man’s face.”, Grace muttered. “Do you know what is the meaning of this dream and why am I…”, she stopped speaking when heard him snore lightly. It was almost inaudible if her hearing power had not been improved a little. She confirmed that he had slept-just like that!
Grace sighed and kissed his cheek before taking a comfortable position and slept too. They didn’t even care that the lights were not off. They just slept in each other’s arms.

Grace felt a tickling sensation on her forehead which then traveled along the side of her head. She squirmed a little and was about to fall off the table when she felt herself being held back strongly. Immediately opening her eyes, she found Zayden chuckling at her. It was now that she realized where exactly she was, and the memories of last night came back to her. She looked at him closely to check how his mood was!
“Don’t worry! I am okay now.”, he informed her as he knew she was worried for him.
“What time is it?”, She asked sleepily.
“I think 9 or 10.”, He guessed.
“WHAT? Tomorrow is Allison’s marriage and we here, are sleeping like no tomorrow.”, she exclaimed and quickly left the table. She started picking up the things which were on the table before they landed on it. As soon as he woke up and saw the beautiful face of his mate, he remembered how rudely he behaved with her last night. And frankly, he was ashamed about it. The memories of the previous night were still fresh in his mind, especially the fear of his sweetheart, and that alone was making him feel guilty.
“ALPHA STAUNTON.”, Grace almost screamed at him to gain his attention as he was lost in his thoughts. He snapped out of his thoughts and looked at her.
“What, sweetheart?”
“Get fresh!”
He nodded like an obedient child.
