Third Person’s POV

“I bought something for you.”, Grace told Zayden as soon as he entered their room in his boxer. Grace was sure that by now he would have forgotten his anger and if not he would surely forget his anger after seeing her smile. His eyes fell on his wife who was sitting on the bed with a few bags near her.
“Really?”, He asked with a smile. Grace nodded. “Let me freshen up first.”, he said before walking inside the washroom.
After ten minutes, he walked out of the washroom and approached the bed where she was sitting.
“What have you bought for me?”, he asked.
“Nothing special. Ally suggested it to me.”, She replied shyly, trying to hide the fact that it was her wish to buy something for him and not Allison.
“I can smell you lies, sweetheart.”, he mocked and sat close to her, their legs touching. Grace smiled sheepishly but didn’t feel scared of her small lies. She was sure Zayden wouldn’t hate her if she speaks lies which don’t harm anything or anyone. She placed one of the bags on his lap.
He smirked at her shy behavior and took out the box from the bag. Without opening the box he knew what his mate had bought for him.
“Shirt!!”, He exclaimed and chuckled. He saw Grace nodding her head. “And there I thought you had brought condoms.!”, He added instantly.
“ZAYDEN!”, she gasped and slapped his arm playfully, which earned another laugh from him.
“What? We are going to need condoms very soon.”, He teased her again. Grace snatched the gift she brought from his hand and stood up.
“I am not giving you this.”, She stated and walked a step away from him.
“Really! And what will will you do with a men’s shirt?”, He joked with a wide smirk on his lips as he laid on the bed in a challenging gesture.
She smirked back for the first time in front of him. She knew his weakness. If he loved to tease her then she planned on not leaving her only opportunity.
“Well, I know many men around like Dad, Eric or….Paul!”, She said with the smirk plastered on her lips. Zayden’s smirk fell and he immediately took a seating position. He reached forward to grab her hand and pulled her towards him with all his strength. She fell on the bed with a shriek and he instantly got on top of her.
“Mine”, He roared. “You really like to play with fire.”, He asked her in an animalistic tone which came like a statement. Grace knew Zayden’s wolf had taken control over his body but surprisingly she was not feeling scared even by his presence because a part of her was telling her that he wouldn’t harm her. While Dominic’s eyes were focused on hers as she shyly looked everywhere but him.
“I...I..”, She tried to frame a sentence but failed.
“I don’t like you taking the name of other men. Do you understand?”, he asked to which Grace nodded her head. “Now, tell me why did you buy me a shirt?”
“It’s not a shirt but it’s shirts, actually.”, Grace replied because she had brought all those shirts which she felt would look good on him. It isn’t very expensive like the other clothes you wear and it has a return option too. So if you don’t like it the…”, She added, instantly he cut her off.
“When did I say that I didn’t like it?”, He asked. How could he say NO to the first gift that she had bought for him?
“You haven’t seen it yet.”
“Okay then!”, He muttered and sat on the bed. He started opening all four boxes one by one.
“Blue! Teal Green! Peach! Purple!”, He exclaimed as he saw the color of the shirts.
“Yeah! You always wear black or white, so I thought a change won’t do any wrong! But if you don’t like it…”
“I loved it, sweetheart.”, He said genuinely looking at all the colorful shirts. He didn’t prefer wearing any colors apart from black and white. But if his mate wanted to wear another color other than these two colors then he would do so without raising a question.
“So, will you wear them in your day to day life?”, She asked shyly, looking at her nails. Zayden raised his hand and brought it to her chin. Raising her head to meet his eyes, he replied.
“Of course! I will. And please don’t blush like this or else you will lose your virginity today.”, He said shamelessly which earned him another glare from her.
“You are such a pervert.”, She said, faking her anger.
“I love you too.”, He teased her again.
“I never said that I love…”, She stopped when she realized what she was going to say. She glared at her husband and threw a pillow at him. “You are impossible.”, She mumbled, which made him laugh.
“Let’s sleep now”, He announced and stood up to switch off the lights. Grace sunk herself under the bed sheet taking the usual position.
Zayden switched off the lights. He came under the sheets too and held her close to his naked body. Since Grace was used to this position of them sleeping so close to each other, she didn’t argue. She kissed his cheek as she had to kiss him before sleeping.
After a few minutes of him playing with her soft open hair, she gathered the confidence of asking something which had been bothering her for a long.
“Zayden?”, She called him, checking if he was still awake, which she knew he was.
“Hmm?”, He replied with a somewhat sleepy voice, which she found very erotic. But then, everything about him was erotic.
“I want to know about you and your past.”, She said. Allison and Sarah knew so much about him but being his wife, she knew nothing about him and she felt ashamed of herself for not knowing about him. She too wanted to know him. He was her husband for god’s sake.
Zayden could smell her emotions easily. “Sweetheart, there is nothing to be upset about. You will know everything about me in time. I promise.”, he said, trying to postpone her curiosity.
“But..but you know everything about me! It’s so unfair.”, She protested.
“That’s because I pay attention. If you want to understand me better, you will have to love me.”, he said, to which she hesitantly nodded. She knew he was trying to divert her mind and she allowed him as she didn’t want him to force her into anything.
He stroked her cheeks lovingly and almost whispered.
“My life wasn’t all fancy like yours, sweetheart. You will start despising me if you will know about my past. It is something I don’t want to recall but I promise I will share everything with you, one day.”, he said. Grace looked at him and nodded.
“Okay then, take time. But you need to know that I won’t be able to fall in love with you without knowing everything about you. I want to know why you are here when you mentioned that wolves live in a pack? I want to know why you are in those mafia’s business and everything you have kept hidden from me.”
“I know.”, He said.
They went silent for a while before Zayden broke the silence.
“You didn’t tell me how your shopping went?”
“The shopping was great. Allison bought clothes for the whole city. I wonder where she will keep them?”, She said sarcastically.
“She gives them to charity.”
“Really?”
“Yes. She loves doing that without letting others know. She hates publicizing her effort.”, He said.
“That’s so nice of her! I thought she was buying it all for herself. For a moment, I thought your love spoiled her too much. And I am so sorry for thinking that way.”, She apologized.
After the topic of mall and shopping, she talked about her dislike toward the club and also how she accidentally told her maiden name when she introduced herself to one of Allison’s friends.
“It’s fine, sweetheart. You don’t have to change your surname just because you are married to me. You can write ‘Felton’ or ‘Staunton’ or both. I don’t care as long as you don’t hide the fact that you are married.”, He said and smiled which gave her strength.
“I wonder how you can be good and bad at the same time?
“Am I bad to you?”, He asked, raising his brow. The last time he checked, he made a special effort to be on her good list.
“No! You have always been good to me. I mean not before my marriage. But right now, I was talking about Sarah. You always behave rudely with her.”
“And she deserves it.”
“Zayden!”, She exclaimed again.
“What? I have my own opinion. If you don’t like someone, then I can’t pretend to like them.”, he said.
“But she loves you and it’s rude to hurt someone again and again. You should respect her feelings.”, She explained to him. Zayden rolled his eyes at the ‘respect’ word. But for Grace’s sake, he nodded.
“Fine. I will. But only if you stay near me whenever she is around.”, he placed his condition, knowing Sarah would surely try to come close to him if he behaves nicely with her.
“Okay.”, she said with a smile, and just like that, he fell for that cute smile of his chosen mate. He came close to her and kissed her on her lips. This time she didn’t waste time kissing him back.
After a minute, she pulled herself back and stared at his naked chest, shyly.
“I see that you are learning to kiss me.”, He teased her. She slapped on his chest playfully but regretted it as he was not wearing anything.
“You shouldn’t remove your shirt on a daily basis.”, She complained.
“Why? You can’t resist the temptation?”, he joked again. She glared at him for his dirty joke but he chuckled and kissed her again.
