My mind was preoccupied with what mom said.
Am I ready to go back to him?
Don't be silly Farah, he's your husband. my inner mind tells me.
I wrapped a hijab on my head, I need to cool off my mind. My legs are now better I have nothing to worry about.
"Mom I will be right back, I'm going to take a walk," I shouted enough for her to hear, as she's in the kitchen.
"Okay take care of yourself" she answered back.
I inhale a sharp breath feeling the cool breeze. Finally, I've been out after staying at home for a while. I sat down on the empty bench letting a smile out of my lips. As I glance up to the sky, I close my eyes feeling some sort of relief. I felt a presence beside me, turning my face, my eyes met with Jawad. First time seeing him after the incident at the hospital. His face looks different with more stubble laid on his jaw, wrinkles under his eyes. he looked so pale. I stand up immediately realizing what I'm doing. I started walking towards the direction of Allah knows where.
Shit! Why am I nervous.
"Listen to me please Farah." He said following behind me.
"What do you want," I said emotionless.
"Please Farah listen to me."
"I don't want to listen to anything you have to say." I spitted feeling anger boiling inside me. I turned around but stopped when I feel a pair of warm hands holding my arm. I can't resist how his touch is affecting me, I miss being close to him.
"Please Farah just for 5mins." He whispered. I can't help being weak by his words. I spot his car a few inches away from us, without saying anything, I walked to his car and got inside he followed me and enters also.
An awkward silence fell on us, the type of silence that you feel when you are short of words. I fiddled with the hem of my gown.
"If you have nothing to say, there is no need in wasting my time." I finally said breaking the silence.
"I don't know to start." A chuckle escapes from his lips. "Actually I'm not used to this." I turned my face towards the window, I can feel his gaze on me.
"Farah Don't leave me please, I know I did a lot of bad things to you in the past, but I've changed I'm not the same Jawad as before." He reached for my hands and place it just below his heart.
"Can you feel my heartbeat, whenever I'm close to you it beat faster, you have no idea how much I'm feeling right now."
"I love you, Farah."
Time seems to stop for a moment. His words sent sparkles down my body. My heart rate increase I couldn't believe my eyes.
He loves me
my husband loves me
had it been he confessed early, I would've been the happiest woman but I can't shake off what happened out of my head.
Looking into his eyes I found myself lost in them. I feel like touching his face to feel his skin. we stayed like that for what seems like forever until I realized what I was doing, I realised my hands from his hold and turn my face away.
I was supposed to be angry at him.
"And I don't love you." I find myself saying. His eyes widen for a mere second before he changes it to a sad one.
"I know you don't mean what you said." He ushered back.
"I mean it, I don't love you" I replied back finding myself being angry again.
"Look into my eyes and tell me you don't love me." I turned deaf to his words. He turned my face facing him. My heart started beating fast.
"If you really love me then why did I hear a female voice that day." I finally gather up the courage to ask him what had been occupying my mind ever since, it was the main reason I've been mean to him. "I need an explanation" he was taken aback by my outburst.
"What do you mean female voice?" he asked furrowing his brows. Oh so now he's acting as if he doesn't know.
"The day you called me, I heard a female voice" I spat. His eyes widen.
"Ya Allah Farah, she's my housekeeper"

what?
"Believe me, Farah, she's my housekeeper, and she's even married Are you angry because of that?" a chuckle escape his lips. Taking my hands in his, he pecks it a little, my body immediately reacts to his touch.
"I swear by Allah Farah, I would never cheat on you believe me"

Night came and I couldn't sleep, I was turning on my bed. I can't get the earlier event out of my head. So all this while I thought he cheated on me. Ya Allah. I tried hurting my husband because of a mere misunderstanding. Thank you Allah for making me realize it early.
My phone buzzed from the nightstand, checking it I saw a message from Jawad.
Farah, I know you don't mean what you said earlier. Please don't play hard to get
A chuckle made it way out of my lips. Who's playing hard to get?
The phone buzz again indicating another new message.
Farah, we are adults, we need to sort things out ourselves. Please give me a chance to prove to you that I've changed and how much I love you. I can't bear to be apart from you Something ignites in me, I don't want to hurt him more. I want my husband back. I don't hate him, my love for him grew more strong now that I know I've become part of his life.
Suddenly the door creaked open revealing Yasmin.
"What happened can't sleep?" She asked. I nod my head in return.
"I can't sleep too." She replied back.
"Come sit" I ushered her towards me patting the empty spot beside me. Taking a seat, silence fell on us. Until I break the silence.
"What do you think, should I give him a chance"
"Jawad" I added seeing her confused expression.
"Do you love him, sis?" She asked.
"I do" I muttered almost to myself.
I loved him even before our trip to Dubai.
"Since he confessed his feelings, you should give him a chance to prove himself. Think about it this is your life." She added.
Yasmin talks maturely, sometimes I used to think if she's really my baby sister.
"Okay, thanks for the advice," I said getting a smile in return.
"Let me borrow your bed for tonight goodnight." She said getting under the covers.
"Goodnight."

I took a sip of my chocolate milkshake waiting for Jawad to arrive. After much thought, I decided to give him a chance. We both love each other, no need to drag things more. A smile made it way out of my lips knowing that Jawad loves me. I compose myself seeing him entering through the door.
"Good morning." He said the moment he sat himself down on the chair facing me.
"Good morning," I muttered enough for him to hear. He waved his hand trying to call the waiter.
"What will you like to eat?" He asked.
"No need for that I'm okay with this." I point to my milkshake. "So-" I started.
"I'm giving you one month to prove to me that you've really changed," I said folding my hands on my chest. His eyes went wide, I know he didn't expect it.
"But I have a few conditions."
"Tell me the conditions, I will do whatever you want."
"Oh really?" I asked leaning my elbow on the table. with a grin.
"Yes." He replied back.
"Okay first you will give me my job back, second if I am to go back to your house, you will do just everything I want. So Mr. Jawad are you okay with my conditions?"
