"I'm sorry you have to come here because of me", said my mate.
"I will always come for you", I assured her.
"You have to go right now", she warned me.
"Why?", I asked
"He always come around this time?", she said quietly.
"Why?", I asked her. I saw thar she was very pale. Not all like how she left my place. Then it dawned over me. I knew why was Julio visiting her?
"Show me your neck", I told her. She shook her head. Then she removed her hair. I saw biting marks. I will fucking kill him for hurting my mate.
I thought of leaving quietly but not any more. I saw her looking at my eyes. The tears started to brimming down her eyes.
I saw Mike coming with the guard in tow. He looked at me. I stood there stoically refusing to budge.
"He says he has a spare uniform that we can use for her", said Mike.
"I'm not going anywhere without seeing Julio", I told him.
"Another time Aidan. Now her life is priority", he told me.
"Yes she is my top priority. I can't just leave the one who had hurt her", I told Mike.
"I will stay here and find my way. You take her out of here. I need to get even with Julio", I told him.
"Take care then alpha", he said. Then he pulled out a lock and pushed at the cell. It opened and my mate got out.
"I'm not leaving without you", she said.
I placed a quick kiss on her lips and said, "I promise I will find you". She nodded her head and walked with Mike. But the guard abruptly reached for an alarm button. Mike couldn't stop him. I charged towards the guard and kicked him into the ground.
"Both of you get out of here", I told them and say down to shift. I didn't bother removing the clothes let it rip. I need to shift during the fight with vampires I have heard the same many times. I didnt know why? All my life I had never fought one though. But this could be my first time and I want nothing short of winning.
I shifted in record time. Maybe my wolf was in alliance with me. Now that his mate is safe he is happy. I guess he will forgive me as well.
I saw a blur of movement and saw Julio. I hated his sight. He is a few hundred years older than me. He had the advantage of being fast. But I too was fast. The nature has made us equal rivals.
"Atlast you are here. I knew you might have rescued your mate but is waiting for me. I too wanted to give you a spar. I was having little snacks with her. She sure is tasty", he told me.
I sprang towards him but he managed to dodge me. I tried once again but he still moved away.
Where was I falling short? I couldn't believe myself. I had never felt this incompetent in a hundred years. I growled my fury.
Hemi kicked me so hard I had slammed to the wall. I felt my bones break. I willed it to join it. I panted with the sheer force my body was using.

I manged to stand on my legs and jumped him again. He moved past with his fast reflexes. I was biting the dust again.
"I see that you have managed to rescue your girlfriend. Don't you worry I will find her pretty soon. I'm addicted to her taste. I couldn't stop drinking sometime maybe I will Suck her dry", he said. I slammed him to the wall. I shifted back to my human body. But ended up with something in between.
Julio's eyes were bulged seeing my transformation. I knew he hadn't seen anyone shift like this before. I hit him a cross his mouth. He sputtered the blood.
"What the fuck? You are not a werewolf?", he said.
I was taller than my human form. I had my wolf teeth and I could talk.
This was something even I haven't foreseen before.
"I will make you cough up ever drop of her blood you drank. You filthy blood sucking bastard", I said to him.
"My mate is human. I will make you pay for the lives of the innocents you killed", I said dragging him to the wall.
"Let me go please", he begged me.
"That wasn't what you said before", I told him.
"I'm sorry", he cried again.
"Tell me who is behind this take over?", I asked him.
"I was behind it. But I got some help from your friends. They guided me to infiltrate the humans. They want you to attack the other tribes. They have been trying to make you do it so many times. But you were so adamant in having peace. They told me to take her but you didn't allow it. They were sure they could have used you to make you initiate the war. Finally we had her willingly so I brought here here without Mike's knowledge. I haven't hurt her ", he pleaded with me.
" But you drank her blood and I want it back. Because you took it without her permission ", I told her.
I put my hands were his heart lie. I dug my fingers inside and took out a bloody heart. His eyes grew shocked initially and went lifeless. I took a heavy breath. Julio is dead but the real enemy is not him. He was just a pawn. I didn't know who that was. He said friends and familiar faces flew past my eyes. One of them is a traitor. They betrayed me their alpha and Luna.
