"Tough times are ahead. I know this had been due for a long time. Heed me Alpha the time had come for you to join the war", said Greta her eyes dreamy.
"No Greta. I can't do a war right now. I have done it before and got no pleasure out of it. The innocent lives are at stake around here. It is not a matter of a passing fantasy", I told her.
"Alpha it is going to be a blood bath no matter what we do. The other tribes have always stepped out of line. If humans are going to do something about it then be it. It is what we should have done a long time ago", said Seb.
"Seb don't forget that I'm your alpha and have made my decision clear to you. The humans are not alone they are siding with vampires. Have you forgotten what vampires are to us?", I warned him.
"Forgive me alpha. I just told what I thought. It won't happen again. Excuse me", said Seb.
"Don't leave yet. We will watch what is happening and make decisions accordingly. They are our brothers let us not forget that ever", I told them.
I know it is hard for them to accept that but it is the truth. I know half of the aggressions that has happened between the tribes is my own fault. My love life has been complicating things from as long as I remember.
This time I have promised myself that I will act differently. I have let go of my mate when she asked me to. If I wasn't a changed man i wouldn't have done that. But I did. "Hey Lana did you get any reply?", I asked her. I tried to appear casual but I wasn't. I wanted her here. I missed her more now than before. I have to take many major decisions in the coming days. My luna was supposed to help me. I have been running this dysfunctional tribe for far too long that I forgot the role of my luna.
I will be patient with her and even learn to trust her. But Rome was not built in a day so I would prefer if she gives me more time. If it wasn't for her leaving I would still be blissfully unaware of her importance in my life. My wolf had stopped talking to me but it was the human inside me that was missing her. I have given enough trauma to my wolf part I doubt it will answer when the time comes to shift.
"Alpha there is no update so far. Buy there is something that you should see", she told me. I went near her.
I saw fanatic mails from the alphas of other tribes. I looked at her puzzled. What had changed within a few hours? I saw those dreaded words the war had begun. I had no idea it will escalate this much fast.

"Nothing for now. Their servers maybe intercepted. But this was not what I discussed with Mike. He had assured me that war will happen but not this much soon. He has my mate. I hope he does the reasonable thing and return her to me", I told her.
"You have got a mail which is from an unofficial ID. It is saying that he is Mike", said Lana.
"Let me read it", I told her. I scanned contents with a glance. It surprised the hell out of me. But it kind of explains everything.
This is Mike. I have something important to tell you. The war is not a decision of mine. It was all Julio. I suspected for a long time. He had been playing with minds of my superior officer. I guess he had also done some weird shit to mine. He is a manipulator. Your mate is with him. I'm sorry I couldn't help you. I would soon contact you. But I have an information that you have a spy among you. So I couldn't reveal where I'm right now. But in time we will meet. Your mate is safe for now. Don't let Julio know that I have told you everything.
My heart was pounding so loud. I hit at the table so hard it broke. The papers went flying around. Everyone came running towards me. I was an idiot because of my mistake I have lost my mate.
"Contact someone from the office. I want to talk to Julio right away", I told Lana trying to be calm. She could see that why I was being so hysterical. She knows what my mate is to me. I will fucking kill Julio if he so much as touch a single hair in my mate's head.
"Did you get it?", I asked Lana. She scrambled to get me the telephone I had destroyed my system. It will take some time to get the spare one working.
"Hello Alpha", said a sickeningly sweet voice. That murderous blood Sucker will never fool me. Their skills are designed to attract vulnerable prey. My mate is immune I think because she is my mate. I hope he listens to the rational part of brain and stay the fuck away from my mate.
