While still in thought she bumped into a hard chest. She raised her head to see who it was and was shocked to see Adrian with a grin. He acted quickly holding her waist preventing her from leaving. She yanked his hands off and he held her wrist.
" I've been asking after you. Sadly there's no name like Lily here and if there's is. It isn't you. Stopped playing hard to get and follow me. I'll treat you well as long as you behave yourself. " He stated dazed at her beauty
" I told you that I am a taken woman. You will be surprised who he is. Let go of me" she snapped trying to break free from his grip
" I'll let you go if you tell your name," he said stroking her hair upward as she yanked his hands off stepping away from him
" Let go. I told you my name and I'm not a permanent worker here"
" We're getting there. Almost there. I admit I'm smitten by you. Especially your big tits and ass" he smirked checking her out licking his lips lustfully. Audrey felt he just eye fu**** her and smacked him on the face angrily. His face turns purple. His grip tightened. He stared dead at her taking a step closer to her while he pushed her to the wall an inch close to her.
" You're a bitch. Who do you think you are? Is there gold in your pu***? Maybe I should take you forcefully. " He stated sarcastically about to kiss her when Lucas dragged him away forcefully punching him before Adrian could understand what was happening he has received several punches from him already.
The security guards were more certain that she was indeed his woman. Audrey stepped away from the wall wondering how Lucas got involved.
Adrian wiped drops of blood from his lips trying to rearrange his face which seemed broken
" What the hell Lucas, are you crazy? You almost broke my cheekbones" he cursed as Lucas pushed him to the wall roughly
" Don't ever touch my woman. Don't smile at her .stay miles away from her. " He said staring at her bruised wrist then her embarrassed face
His face was visible from the shock of her being Lucas's woman but why didn't she just say so. He found it hard to believe.
" Duly noted. Get your hands off me. I had no idea. " He stated still rearranging his face. stared at her then left.
Audrey just stood there dazed at the whole scene. One thing she was certain of is that they're not friends and probably hate each other from the way he punched him. They had a grudge against each other. She picked her bag from the floor rubbing her bruised wrist. Now how would she tell him about her past when he's disgusted to see other people touching her.
He held her by the shoulder leading her out of the building. Bobby drove while he blew on her bruised wrist trying to soothe it. She was surprised he didn't ask questions. She rests her head on his shoulders.
" How long has this been going on? He asked sternly still soothing her wrist
" Jenny put him up to it. I can handle it. It's just that he's a wealthy man and I didn't know how to tell you " she said holding him tightly
" I guess he did hit you on the face then. You just don't tell me anything Audrey" he tried not to be angry
" I'm sorry. He is your long time board member and I didn't want to put you in a difficult situation" she said apologetically fiddling with his suit jacket
" I can handle Adrian. Don't keep things from me, Audrey. " He said tired of reaching out to her
" I'm sorry Luke. I'm not used to people taking care of me. Now that you are in my life, I'll try and let you in. I know it won't be easy but I will" she said making Lucas relieved.
" And I promise to always be there for you. Let me take care of you. Share your problems and thoughts with me" he coaxed
" Fine. I don't know who is after my life and I'm waiting for Victor to tell me. That's all I know" she said finally
" We'll find out together. Let me know if Adrian approach you again"
" Okay, my love. Why didn't he fight you? She asked curiously
" You didn't meet me when I was a general. I had an extremely strong physique. Just a look at me and you pee on yourself. I was intimidating" he explained
" Not was. You're intimidating still. Did you go on rescue missions and war? She speculated
" Yeah ."
"Girls must have been drooling over you," she said fiddling with his tie
" I didn't notice. " He said nonchalantly making Bobby scoff.
Lucas didn't see the need to be mad at her over Adrian. He knew he was a womanizer and Audrey was his kind of woman. He saw her as a victim when he came out of his office once a guard reported it to him. He promoted the guard.
