A trip to the police station was all she wanted. She drove to the police station to see Victor.
" Hello detective" she called out to him as he smiled on seeing her
" Audrey, nice to see you," he said offering her a seat.
" Thanks. I'm about to embark on a journey and I want to know how far you have gone with the drug lord" she went straight to the point
" I'm on it. His boys are still in custody. We'll be raiding their hideout soon. How have you been? Did you encounter an attack recently? He asked worriedly
" Not really. Please be sure. I'm tired of killing people" she whispered making Victor chuckle
" Or you can request an entourage from Mr. Hamilton. He has it all. " He suggested earning a glare from her
" Or you can postpone it till I get him off your back" he stated
" I can't postpone it. Thanks for your time. I have to go" she stood up

" Work." She shook hands with him and left while he walked with her till she drove off.
She drove to the court to authenticate her mother's death certificate and was told to go to the place where it was issued to confirm.
She'll be visiting her hometown. She had to be sure. It's a good thing she was traveling there anyway. She needed her passport. so she stopped at her house to get them.
She went to the hotel to park her car then waited for Bobby to pick her up.
Getting home, she went to see granny then retired to her room, had her bath, and got ready for the night. stepping out, she saw Lucas by the bed with her phone. It's a good thing she had it locked with a difficult password.
" Where were you? He asked softly
" To the police station to confirm something"
" Like what? He asked raising a brow for her to elaborate
" To know if I'll be safe in LA," she said putting her shirt dress on
" You'll be. I'm going with you. " He announced .she thought he was joking when he mentioned it before. It seems not
" I don't think so. I'll be there for months and you need to work"
" Are you seriously telling me not to go with you? He asked convinced she's going there for something else.
' no. By all means please come along," she stated noticing his suspicious tone. He wouldn't leave his business for months, right?
" Good. I've something for you. " He said giving her a small box. She looked at him and opened the box: which contained two small guns that she took from his ammunition warehouse.
" For protection. My instincts tell me you know how to use it" he remarked as she looked at them excitedly admiring them

Some girls jumped at gold and car keys.it seems she's not a regular girl.

" That's not fair. " She protests as he dropped her on the bed with a loud thud. Thank God the bed was soft and cozy

She woke up in the middle of the night and arranged her clothes. She picked the two guns up and kisses them. now she has a gun of her own. So cool. She dropped it inside her luggage thinking of what the truth might be. If it's true she will gladly accept it but why did ivy say to date? She isn't stopping till she unveils the truth. As far as she knows, her father wasn't a wealthy man. They were the average type of family. Her mother was a banker while her dad owned an automobile workshop where cars were repaired and towed.
How did ivy get her wealth? From being a bartender? She doubts it. She has to know if it originated from her selling her to Viola. She wouldn't show her mercy if it's true. She clenched her first thinking of the possibilities and hit her luggage.
Lucas watched her mood swings and outbursts of anger. She had an enemy and she wasn't truly happy as he thought she was. He feared she might develop depression. He had her trip investigated and was told she went by ship which took a month for her to arrive. He knew she was lying about her whereabouts but couldn't cut ties with her because of an assumption. He loved her too much to push her away. Perhaps he'll find clues during their stay together in LA.
