LEAVING HOME
After weeks of packing my stuff and trying to get ready,I still couldn't believe I was going to a school of priests( seminary),jeez! I curse my dad for making go to a Catholic School,its a fucking convent.
"Jane!! please get your stuff out we do not want to be late on our first appointment" my dad yelled from downstairs.
"Coming dad!" Rolling my eyes, I stood up from my soft bed,I looked at my room for a while.
"Am gonna miss sleeping on you" I told my bed.
"Am gonna miss your scent" that was me talking to my room, yeah you can call me psycho, but I was just being sincere.
I grabbed my bags and a little bag which contained my soap and some conditioners for my hair.
" What took you forever to come down?" Dad asked and I didn't respond,I only nodded in a way to say nothing, he gave a fading smile.
" Am gonna miss you so much baby girl" my mom said, trying to hold the tear streaming down her lovely face.
" Always be a good girl, cause mama loves you so much" she kisses my forehead to my temples and my cheeks.
" I love you too Mom." I replied.
I haven't said that to anyone in a long while,my dad took my luggage from me, she grabbed me into a tight hug, I didn't return for a while,until my heart began to melt before I did.
I was gonna miss the only person who gave me so much joy, except from Liya.
Frankie and Gerald were staring, they didn't come close, they didn't know how I felt about them being close to me, my eyes locked with them but before it could last a second they gazed off.
I smiled.
I wanted to hug them and kiss them goodbye,before I could say anything to them, Liya walked straight to me.
" I wish you could stay big sis" she said with tears in her eyes as it rolls down to her small mouth, she was looking more beautiful,
I smiled and hugged her.
"I'm gonna miss you more baby sis,don't take my place when I am gone, I'll be back before you even notice I left" I said, giving her a quick peg on the head.
The whole family was here except Genesis, she didn't come out to say goodbye, I know she still think I hate her for what happened to me,maybe I did but she was getting it all wrong before I leave I had to tell her something, I wanted her to let go, to let the grudge go, I walked up stairs to her room that was closed to mine, I stepped to see her on bed.
She was crying, her eyes looked like they haven't had enough sleep, I locked the door behind me, her eyes gazed at mine, I gave her a fainting smile,she looked at my face in a way to say sorry over and over again,
I walked closer to her bed.
"Hey big sis, if you didn't want me to go, you should have just said so, instead of not saying goodbye" she let out a little giggle.
" Am sorry" raising an eyebrow.
"For what" I asked.
"For everything" I knew what she was talking about.
" I should have been there for you but I wasn't, and now you're leaving because I couldn't even defend you from all the hurt and I know you hate me so much but please do not pay me with the silent you hold inside you" she said as she began to cry even more.
I felt a burning sensation in between my throat and my eyes were beginning to water itself.I didn't want to cry in front of her, I was here to tell her everything was fine.
" I wasn't a good sister but please let me show you that I can make it right" I didn't say a word as I leaned closer to wipe her tears, remembering when she did the same for me and how safe I felt that day.
" I love you as much as I hate you but you'll always be the best sister in the world and what ever happened was my past, I am not leaving to hurt anyone, I love you all" I took a long breath in and out.
"But I have to do this and i hope you can forgive yourself and move on, it was never your fault" I let out a sign, I held her in my hands and kissed her forehead.
" I have to go,I don't want to be late on the first day, it's not a sign of good luck".I chuckled softly.
With a warm smile telling her it was fine, she didn't say a word but smiled back and nodded in agreement, I stood up to leave.
" Jane!!" That was Genesis' cracked voice from all the crying she has been doing. I turned with one hand on the door handle of her room, she was standing beside her bed this time.
" I love so much" as she walked towards me and hugged me.
" I love you too,big sis" she let out a laugh.
" Everything is gonna be fine ok" I nodded and smiled.
"Good luck" she said as I left her room and walked straight to my Dad, who was already impatient because we were going to be late on our first day.
