"So by tomorrow I will be a married woman, I don't even know how to feel about it,"
Natalie said as they sat at the balcony their usual talking spot, Natalie's wedding was tomorrow and they decided to have a girl's night before her wedding, Nicole thought that Natalie will spend the night at the hotel where most of their guests were spending the night but she decided to spend the night here at home, even their parents were at the hotel close to the chapel where the wedding will take place. but Natalie had decided that she wanted to go from home, her stylist and makeup artist were all in the house already.
The past couple of weeks have been hectic for Natalie, she had to pick a venue and see that it's one of her likings as Rafael had said he was useless in that aspect, he told her that wherever she choose he will go with it and that has stressed Natalie out a lot.
She and her twin were still not cool with their parents but Natalie couldn't tell them not to come to her wedding, because well, their dad had to give her away, Nicole has finally decided on the house that she wants to move to, all she needs to do now is pay and move in, she plans on doing that after Natalie's wedding. when their parents had found out that she was going to leave the house they were pissed but she didn't give them a hearing ear, she didn't even bother to explain whatever to them she's just told them that she was woman enough to move out and that she wasn't going to depend on them, it had shocked Natalie too but she didn't seem offended she just said good luck and that it was for the best so that their parents will stop looking down on her
"Do you think I'm making a mistake?"
Natalie suddenly asked, Nicole turned her attention to her wondering where that was coming from.
"What? no, this is what you want right? if it's what you want, go ahead with it, why would you think you are making a mistake?
She asked.
"I'm just saying I don't really know Rafael all that much and we are already getting married, I don't know if I am making a huge mistake, will I regret this later? Am I really ready to get married? I don't know, I just feel like asking,"
She said, she looked genuinely confused and lost that it worried Nicole, it was the night before her wedding and it was almost too late for her to be having these thoughts now, there were people already waiting in the hotels close to the chapel, a lot of their relatives travel from different countries to witness the wedding and a lot other influencial guests that were invited by both their parents, Natalie herself and Rafael too, she couldn't possibly be thinking of backing out now.
"Come on Natalie, it's just the wedding rush getting to you, of course, you're ready, or aren't you? you love him don't you?"
"That's the thing, Nicole, I don't know, I mean we've not been dating for long so I can't really say I'm in love with him, he asked me to marry him and I said yes, I don't know if I made a mistake by saying yes,"
"The hell? Does that mean you don't love him? What about him? Does he love you?"
She asked.
"We haven't really talked about love,"
"What? and you guys are getting married?"
She asked in shock.
"Yes"
"Yes? I thought people get married because they love each other? You guys have never talked about love? And you agreed to marry him? Are you for real?"
"Lol, no we haven't, we barely talk,"
Her twin revealed which lead Nicole to think her twin was getting married to a man she didn't know, that was scary, it was more than scary, she couldn't even imagine what will happen, what if he turns out to be an abuser or something? What had Natalie been thinking?
"Natalie, what have you done?"
"Nothing, I couldn't say no to him okay, at that time I was happy but now I don't know anymore,"
"What are you going to do? Are you going to run away?"
She asked already not liking the idea.
"No, why will I run? Don't worry, I am just feeling anxious and also Rafael isn't a bad person, so it will be fine, I will be fine,"
She assured but Nicole wasn't convinced, she just has to hope that her sister's judgment of Rafael was true, it not it could be a huge disaster.
"I hope so, Natalie,"
"Don't worry, by tomorrow morning, I will be the excited bride again,"
She said.
"Okay, now let's talk about you, Nicole,"
She said changing the topic.
"Me? What about me?"
"Hmm, I just want to know, I know you are moving out of the house, other than that what are your plans?"
"Depending on the kind of plans you are talking about, I mean, for now, I want to concentrate on building my brand as an artist and see how it goes from the, for one the exhibition that I attend two weeks ago, was both educative and an eye-opener,"
Nicole answered, the exhibition had been held two weeks ago and it had been more than she had expected, there were so many amazing artists that she had met and she had seen so many beautiful pieces that she had concluded that she still had a long way to go, of course, her fellow artists had been encouraging and most had even praised her work but she knew she was nowhere near perfect, the apartment she decided on was a two-story building and she planned on turning the down part to her studio and mini gallery, she already pictured how it will turn out to be.
"Cool, what about relationship-wise?"
"I don't, I don't think I am ever going to be in a relationship Natalie, some people are not just met to fall in love and be in a relationship and I think I am one of those people, it's fine though because I like my own company more than interacting with people,"
Nicole said sincerely, maybe she might change her mind in the future but now, that's how she felt.
