Over the next few days after her return to the city, Nicole couldn't get hold of her twin, when she had gotten home, she hadn't met her at home, she had asked the workers at home who told her Natalie had come to the house spent the night there and left the next morning, it's been over three days since she got back and her parents returned yesterday, they had stayed through to the end of their vacation, they didn't even bother to acknowledge her presence when they returned and she didn't even mind, she had called Natalie a hell lot of time since she got back but she didn't pick up each time, that she had given up, she decided Natalie would return when she felt like it, but that didn't stop her from worrying.
Today, she decided she had to resume stretching Natalie's wedding present as there wasn't much time left and she needed to be done with it two weeks before the wedding as she already knows the weeks before the wedding would be hectic.
She started work as soon as she got to her studio, this particular work would be her largest so far and she needed to get every detail right as she wanted it to be the perfect gift, she was still working about three hours later when the door to her studio opened, she looked up to see Natalie standing there with a worried look, she stopped what she was doing and got up immediately.
"Nat,"
She called.
"Can we talk?"
"Sure, I have been wanting to talk to you, you weren't taking my calls,"
"And don't you know the reason for that? Anyway, let's go to my room, I need to talk to you,"
She said, turned and left, leaving the door open, Nicole quickly picked up her phone and walked after she closed the door.
"As much as I didn't want to come here because I am still so pissed at you,"
Natalie said when Nicole got into her room.
"I am sorry,"
"Well, if you are then listen to me,"
"Okay,"
"Well, as I said, I am still pissed with you but I need your help,"
Her sister said and Nicole hoped for once that it wouldn't be one of her impossible requests.
"With what Nat?"
"Please don't say no, I need you to help me go over to Margaret's house,"
"What? Is it the Margaret I am thinking about?"
Nicole asked, not liking this request, not again.
"Yes, the one you visited with Rafael,"
"So you want me to play you again? Come on Natalie, we talked about this, the last time I played you I didn’t tell you about it but Rafael kissed me thinking it was you, and I have been feeling like a betrayer because of that, I can't do it again,"
"I knew about the kiss, I saw you guys, I was sitting at the balcony,"
"What? And you are not mad?"
Nicole asked, not believing her ears.
"I am not, you were playing me and it was just a kiss, of course, I expected that to happen, did you really think I would be angry over a kiss?"
"Yes,"
Nicole answered feeling like a fool for thinking the worst will happen if Natalie finds out not knowing she already knew.
"Why didn't you ask me about it?"
She couldn't help asking.
"Because, I felt you didn't want to talk about it, that's a past, let's talk about what I asked for, please will you help me?"
Natalie asked.
"I can't,"
Nicole said firmly.
"If you want me to forgive you then you have to do this for me, you know I am not good with things like that, and you must have made an impression on the old lady for her to request to see you,"
Natalie said and Nicole couldn't believe she was using their feud against her, it felt like blackmail.
"Natalie, not again I thought we talked about this I can't keep doing this for you Rafael is going to find out and I don't think he will be happy knowing that we have been playing him,"
"I know, I know, I promise this is going to be the last time,"
I can't go there I can't,"
"Please Nicole , please help me, please I'm begging you,"
She pleaded but Nicole shook her head no, this was getting out of hand, once, twice, thrice was enough, she couldn't do it anymore.
"I really don't want to do this, Nat, I don't,"
"Fine!! if you don't want to help me then don't just know that I am not talking to you, Let's just keep being the way we have been,"
Natalie said. Nicole just stood there shocked by what Natalie just said.
"Are you blackmailing me Natalie? Is that what it is? I always do things for you, the one time that I say I'm not going to do it, you choose not to talk to me? You really are going to go that low when you know how much I want us to be okay again?"
Nicole asked, feeling her eyes water with unshed tears.
"If I don't need you to help me with this so badly, do you think I would have asked? Or made threats? I'm seriously desperate here,"
Natalie replied, raising her voice.
"And I'm telling you that I can't do it, this is getting out of hand Natalie, three times is enough, no more please,"
"Please just this last time after this no more, I promise,"
Natalie pleaded again, she was impossible to talk to when she wants something, she won't give up until she gets it, every damn time.
"That's what you keep saying but each time it keeps getting worse, the last time it was just a kiss, what if it goes more than that what are we going to do? What am I going to do? Will I tell him I am not you? That I am your sister? How do you think he is going to react?"
