Chapter 3
Terry pov:
Me and Mark are heading to school along the trails laughing and cutting up as usual when he asked me in a serious tone“what are you going to do if you find your mate next week. You know half our class mates will probably find their mates at this party?”
“I don't know" I respond.“I know I just hope Chrissy is one who finds her mate and it's not me” I say laughing.
“Well don't swing her my way."
We both laugh at that and then he says serious again "serious man what are you going to do?"
I think for a while contemplating this question, I mean yes I have thought about what I would do if I found my mate but I really think the girl in my dream's is my mate. I don't know what makes me think this but why else would I be having these dreams about the same girl every night for a year now. I have not seen her face yet and if this was just a dream I really believe I would have seen a face on the girl. But instead her face is always blurry. I can see her sweet body and make out her beautiful figure out. She is about 5'8" in height the perfect height for me, she is slim without being to skinny, with perky breast that I just want to put into my mouth and suck on them and never stop. But how do I tell anyone this without them laughing at me or worse thinking I done lost my mind. So I just sigh and say "I don't know I guess I will cross that bridge when I get to it."
I take over being the alpha when I turn twenty-five which that gives me plenty of time to find a mate. I still have a lot of training to do. Not just learning all the alpha business but also more vigorous training to be the best alpha fighter out there. I maybe a soon to be alpha but we still train. I am the strongest in my pack besides my dad of course. But there is always danger around the corner my dad tells me. He says an alpha should never let their guard down for any reason. There is always someone wanting to take you down for one reason or another.
As we are coming up to the school my gamma Bryar comes running up to us and informs me of a fight going on inside. We follow Bryar in to the fight and see Chrissy kicking a girl on the ground. I get a somewhat look at the girl lying curled up on the ground and realize it is Chrystal. The girl I promised my dad to always protect while I was in school. My blood begins to boil I am having a hard time controlling Dakota from coming out to tear Chrissy a new one for disobeying a direct order from the alpha, me.
Now Chrystal is not part of my pack, her and her grandmother live on top of the mountain. Chrystal's grandmother owns the mountain and my father has a deal with her to protect it and Chrystal while she goes to school here. We are at the bottom of the mountain, my father tells me I will learn more about this deal with her grandmother once I graduate and start my duties as acting alpha.
The only thing I can say about Chrystal's grandmother is she's a powerful witch and she owns that mountain and we are under no circumstances to cross the border. I know Chrystal is a wolf I can smell her but I smell something else I cannot put my nose to it maybe it's the witch in her. We do not consider her a rogue because she is not in a pack. She does not smell rank like a rogue maybe it's because she is still around my pack while at school.
The mountain is covered with old trees and once you step into the tree line you are covered in fog. It has been rumored that once in there you cannot find your way out and you die. So they say, I don't know of anyone that has tried. My dad has left strict orders to stay away and so far I know everyone has obeyed.
That does not stop me from being curious of what's on top of that mountain that we are not supposed to see. I am sure I am not the only one who asks themselves that question. I know my buddies and I have talked about it, even talked about going up there one day to check it out. You noticed I said day do not want to be caught in that fog at night.
Chrystal is younger than us by two years, but she is in our classes. Yea needless to say she is smart as a whip. She will be graduating with us this year at the top of her class. Just wish she had the looks to go with that brain of hers. She is a sweet girl very shy does not bother anyone and why Chrissy and her friends pick on her all the time is beyond my comprehension. Maybe they know something we don't, doubt it.
Chrystal always has her hair up in some kind of bun on top of her head which makes it really hard to tell what color her hair maybe. She also wears big thick framed glasses on her face. She's always wearing big baggy clothes, sometimes I wonder if her pants are going to fall off of her cause of how big they look on her or maybe she's wearing a belt.
It's definitely not like the clothes these girls are wearing now days. Clothes so tight makes you wonder if they bend down either you are going to see what’s underneath or their breast are going to fall out. Can they really breathe with those tight jeans on?
Enough of my thoughts on this girl she is definitely not my mate. That does not mean I do not have a soft spot for this girl. She always has a sweet smile on her face when we pass her in the halls; she's always ready to help anyone who maybe having trouble with their school work. Just an all-around nice, shy girl why they keep picking on her is beyond me. She is no threat to anyone that I know of, so why do they keep picking on her?
