The next day morning,
I walk with my long growing stomach to my office.
I am eating some packet chips. I just feel super hungry these days.
My legs have increased in size, it's not yet noticeable but I can feel it. And my greatest pain Is that it's just beginning.
One needs to se me walking, I am like a tortoise, I bet you, you won't stop laughing at my walking style.
Anyway, I am trying to contain it, so I turn to walk very slowly.
I finally reach my office.
My secretary enters behind me, to give a short briefing about my program of the day as she usually does every day.
"Good morning!."
I retort her greetings.
"You have to review the document of sales of the week as sent by the manager, you have a meeting with some retailers at 1 pm. You planned to revise the document of the BBC today. Anika of the "News Time" is insisting to get an interview with you!."
She talks
"Ohhh, that Anika of a girl again!. When will she let me rest!."
I nod my head in sorrow.
"One more thing madam!."
She stops, calling for my attention
"And what is that!."
I have no idea but I am really anxious to know.
"The is a staff meeting at 10 am today!."
She is all excited
"Who the hell organized that meeting without informing me?."
I yell at her
I hit the table.
"I hope it's not Mr. Ethan if so, I will have no choice but to fire him!. No one puts my Authority into query!."
I yell at her, she widens her stare and steps back at my voice.
I am aware of the fact that some of the staff members are against my upgrade. They gossip in the corridors, yet I don't care but one thing for sure is that anyone who dares confronts won't go scot-free.
They say what they want far away from me, I don't give a dam, but no one should come closer to me with negative vibes.
She moves forward shivering,
"No madam!."
She tries to halt me in a low turn,
I notice it.
"Who then?."
I shout
"It's Mr. Andrew Handheld!."
She shudders, yet smiles as she calls his name.
Very weird to see.
I suddenly get up from my chair. I nearly slip on the floor, but I rested on my table with my hands. I turn giving my back to the secretary girl and facing the wall.
"Is that all?."
I ask her
"Yess madam!."
"You can leave then!."
I wave at her, still facing the wall.
As soon as she leaves, I pick the flower pitcher on my table and hit it on the wall.
It sounds as it breaks.
She shudders at my door, and she tries to peek through my window.
My emotions are (×10) now.
I take back my seat.
Boom!... Andrew barges into my office.
"Good morning, Grace!."
He takes a seat. With a serious look, he keeps staring at me.
"Good day Andrew!."
I keep my heads on my files, acting very busy!.
He noticed it.
"Sorry about yesterday. I acted without thinking. I thought you and Joshua... Never mind!."
He briefly says
It warms my heart!. Yet I don't say anything, not wanting to cut or shorten his speech, I want him to say all that he has in his mind.
He hesitates, I see how he battles with himself.
"I know that I have no right to invade your life like this especially after abandoning you and the baby. So sorry about that!."
"I can see you are busy!. See you soon!."
He gets up.
"Don't leave!."
This is what I want to tell him, but it's more than me.
"Why did you organize a staff meeting without informing me, initial?."
I ask him
"It's an omission!."
He tells
"I see it!."
I roll my eyes severally giving him a nasty stare.
What disrespect!.
"Nothing personal!."
He says with a conny smile, so sure of himself.
This pisses me off!.
"And what is it about!."
I wonder aloud
"Just an hour left!."
He tells me that he leaves
Despite the fact that he is full of himself,
I must admit that I am shocked by his behavior. Andrew said "Sorry"!. I must celebrate this.
I mean, for how long have I waited for it.
"Hahaha", I laughed at myself.
I thought that his apology will wipe away all that he has done, but No!. It hasn't.
I even care less about that so-called meeting. I won't attend it.
"He didn't inform me on time and am very busy lately."
A perfect excuse, I clap at myself.
Sam enters the building!.
He inquiries about my office!.
He is been directed.
"Sorry madam, he forcefully entered!."
My secretary follows Sam as he enters without any permission.
My smile falls, I roll my stare to his direction.
"It's okay!."
I wave her out.
"Sam, I guess!."
He gives me a conny smile.
"Yeah, you guest right!."
he tells me
"I hope he will be a little handsome and smart kid, like his dad!."
He points at my stomach
I widen my stare.
"Which father?. Handsome?. Who are you referring to?."
I feel attached
"Andrew of course isn't he cute!."
He laughs.
So for him, this whole thing is funny!.
I don't know what to say anyway, it's his friend it's normal that he knows.
"I hope not!."
The answer to his first question
He laughs at my careless answer.
"I don't know why you are here or what you want but be fast about it. I got a lot of work to do!."
I get rigorous and I cross folds my arms gazing at him.
"Just to invite you for dinner!."
He hesitates
"Okay!."
I tell him and instantly get back at work.
I am reading some files.
"Okay, as in yes?."
He happily asks
"Yeah, now get out!."
I nod at him, point the path out of my office.
"Okay, okay!."
He moves out.
He moves out happily in search of his friends Andrew.
I am really feeling dizzy.
