I walked towards the timetable board after hearing non-stop advice and rules from my roommate. When I keenly looked at someone spoke from behind.
“Let’s not waste time by seeing the timetable. You got to know an important thing.” I turned to see Sebastian.
“Bash. You scared me,”
“Iam glad I did. So, what I was telling is we both are going to have a dual match in Witch spell class. They announced the dual matches last night. You are so unaware of it,” he says, leaning on the wall.
“Last night I was busy so... I don’t know,”
“Why... What’s the reason?” He asked curiously. The reason is I was making out with my boyfriend, Bash.
“Okay. I can’t tell that. “That’s none of your business, bash. Now to the topic. Iam glad that you are my pair. I won’t lose to you,” I simply said and was about to walk to my next training class.
“But there’s a problem. I was your pair but someone changed it because they want to have a dual with you so badly,”
“Who would do such type of things? Now only Iam getting friends...”
“I didn’t mention that person is your friend. No one wishes to have a dual match with a friend. That person is Cassie Hale. I hope I gave good news. Enjoy the rest of the day thinking about it.” he teased me and walked in front of me with satisfaction.
“Seriously, I don’t want to see her face at all. I hate it,” I complained and finally reached the training room.
“It’s just a match. Chill down. I already planned on how to give you enough training to win. I also got some help from your friend’s list,” he said and we both entered the training room. The room is full of students who are practising with their powers and having a match with themselves. The whole room is allotted just for training and filled with weapons. This is the first time Iam entering this room.
“So Issac and Noah are going to help you. You can include me too.” He pointed his hands in the direction where Issac and Noah are examining a bow and arrow, daggers, etc...

“So, Let’s choose a perfect weapon for you. I know you already have a dagger, which you got from Pamela. Let’s see whether we get any other useful weapons...” Noah said, without looking at me. Is he angry with me and Jacen? When both Issac and Sebastian are busy searching for some other weapon for me and themselves, I approached Noah and got ready to ask sorry.
“Hey, why did you act weird yesterday?” oh no, why did I talk like this instead of asking sorry.
“What?” He looked at me with a frustrated face.
“Sorry. I was about to ask sorry,” I instantly said.
“For what? There’s nothing to be sorry to a stranger,” he mentioned him as a stranger. I never saw him as a stranger. What’s wrong with him?
“Why are talking like this? You are acting weird from yesterday. If there’s anything, please say it. But don’t act like this. It’s difficult to see you stay silent.” I blurted and expected him to say what’s really going on.
“Hey, I found it. Other than a dagger, you can use this bow and arrow. It will be really useful. Issac knows how to use it. He will teach you. Let’s call him.” He totally ignored my words and jumped to this topic like he didn’t even hear me.
“I don’t need it,” I angrily threw the bow and arrow down from his hands.
“Are you insane? Iam trying to help you, Sydney?” he shouted back.
“What’s going on here?” Sebastian interrupted purposefully.
“Nothing. I need to talk to Noah. Leave now,” I ordered, and turned my attention back to Noah.
“Okay, what do I need to answer?” he asked, taking the bow and arrow from the floor.
“I heard Jacen doesn’t tell you he proposed to me. Iam...”
“Stop right there. I don’t need sorry. You know what, we three are so close friends from the day he came to our house and when the Academy started, you just ignored me. Even if I had some feelings for you, that’s not the problem. You both just forgot about me like I never existed. You didn’t even think of sharing anything with me. I answered you, now we can get back to our work,” he said everything calmly, but I can see this is not his character.
So, not sharing and spending time is his problem. But did he mention something like ‘Feelings for you? He added ‘if he had some feelings for me’. He is confusing me.
“Iam sorry Noah. For everything. Please talk with me,” I pleaded while he picked a dagger and showed it in front of me.
“I will, but only if you have a dagger. Fight with me. Iam going to attack me and you just need to block it. Iam so good at it.” He said challengingly.
“Yeah sure. If you will talk to me. I will do it. But Iam better in it than you,” I said taking a dagger from the weapon collection.
“What if I hurt you?” I added, standing still in the same place.
“You won’t because you already got distracted,” He said, holding my wrist and turning me as my back faces his chest. Finally, he held the dagger near my neck.
“Omg. You aren’t supposed to kill me,” I silently muttered, still holding my dagger, which has no use.
“Nah, Iam not going to kill a pretty girl,” he whispered near my ear.
“Who becomes my brother’s girlfriend, unfortunately,” he added.
“That conversation is over for good. I told you to forget and talk normally,” I told him. He’s still not dropping the dagger but holding me still, close to him.
“Making someone forget something is a vampire job, not yours, Sydney. Anyway, I have never been angry with you at all. I was angry with my brother, not you,” he said, taking the dagger a little bit away from me to let me speak. I thought he was angry with me, but I don’t want him to be angry with his brother. I need to tell Jacen to ask sorry.
“Gine agalma,” I spoke those spells while he’s waiting for my reply and made him struck in the same place. I moved away from him, taking his dagger with me.
“Now who’s the winner?” I said, holding both the daggers in my hands and undoing the spell.
“Fine. You are the winner.” he lifted his hands and smiled at me.
