I can now look out on the balcony outside the mainbuilding and overlook the wide courtyard.
"You can't sleep yet?" I turned to the source of the voice and there I saw Lina coming down the stairs and she was wearing her nightgown.
"I can't sleep"
"Don't be me, I know you're waiting for Trevas" he said before walking into the kitchen and pouring water into the glass.
I stopped talking and just looked back out of the courtyard. It's been a few hours since he left to follow Alastor but until now he still hasn't come back.
"Stop worrying about him, go to sleep" Lina said before I heard his footsteps up to the second floor.
I just shrugged before looking back outside and not long after, I saw Trevas suddenly appear on the pole not far from where I was standing. I was relieved to see that his face was unscathed but my eyes widened when he suddenly stumbled and almost fell. I frowned and walked closer to him. It’s just amazing that a level 7 dark user Trevas would just simply stumble upon a small rock.
It seems that Trevas heard my steps so he looked up at me. He was silent for a few seconds and seemed to reflect who I was because it was dark where we were now.
When I got close to him, he must have smiled.
"Baby…" he called before waving another wave like it was broken.
I wanted to smile when he called me but my jaws suddenly stiffened when I saw the bottle in his hand.
"Are you drunk?" I asked, still not taking my eyes off the bottle he was holding.
Instead of answering, he let go of the bottle he was holding, so it made a noise when it hit the floor. Trevas walked over to me before holding me by the chin to gently face him. I could smell the wine from his mouth just a few spans away from me.
"What happened?" I asked but instead of answering he just smiled before pulling my hair to my ear and at the same time I suddenly felt the darkness swallowing us and I just found myself in a room.
Trevas fell down on the bed so I had a chance to observe where we were.
"Are we on your room?" I asked before looking at the clean and spacious room. It has very little equipment, a large bed that Trevas sleeps on, an office table and swivel chair on which lots of papers sit and there is a cabinet and two nighstands next to the bed.
Trevas turned to me but because he was lying down he had to raise his elbow on the bed to look back at me and blink at me.
“Why are you here?”
I frowned and waited for him to laugh and say he was just joking but after a few seconds he just stared at me. “You brought me here…”
"I did?" He asked and I nodded. Did he seriously forget her?
"Seriously, why are you getting drunk?"
He was silent for a while before he took me by the hand so I stepped closer to him and sat on the bed but he had a different plan when he pulled me closer to him and hugged my back. I could feel his breath from behind me especially when he put his chin on my neck which in turn made my heart beat faster. He tightened his grip on my waist before he gasped.
"Don't worry, We won't do anything… not yet" he whispered before lowering his face against me.
I could not speak immediately because until now I was still processing what was happening.
"What's your question again?" I woke up to his question so I took a deep breath and tried to calm my beating heart.
"What happened?"
Trevas shook his head while his face was still sunk into the back of my neck so my hair stood up but he didn't seem to notice that. “Nothing much, I even caught up with Alastor…”
"Then?"
“He said goodbye…” he said almost in a whisper but because the night was quiet and we could only hear breathing in the room, I could still hear his voice.
"You let him go?"
"It's just right that I let him go, he will only hate me more if he stays here"
I nodded, not knowing what to answer. I took his arm around my waist and gently caressed it.
“Why can’t we just have a normal family?” he whispered and I stopped stroking his arm. "Why does this family have to be in such a riot?"
“We’re still here, we can be you’re family”

There will be a party later in the palace hall that is open to everyone, map nobles or commoners can come and this is the first public occasion that I will attend as Trevs' girlfriend.
In the afternoon, I started getting ready for the party that will be held at 10 pm and will end at 2 am. Lina and I are the only ones going to the palace hall, Trevas said, but we will meet him in front of the palace hall.
"You look so beautiful" I laughed when I heard what Trevas said when he saw us.
I was wearing a maroon long back dress. The skirt is knee -length in the front but the skirt in the back rests on the floor and the chest of the dress is covered with silver.

“Where’s Jared?” Lina asked. She was wearing a yellow dress that was just right for her. The clothes are quite fitted, so the shape of her body is scratched.
"Here" I turned to the speaker and saw Lieutenant Jared walking up to us. He is wearing a black suit which further emphasizes the darkness of his aura. What was really bad in this man's eyes.
He walked closer to Lina and Lina wrapped her hand around his arm. I was stunned but I also suddenly stopped when I felt Trevas' hand wrapped around my waist again before we walked into the palace hall.
There are already a lot of people inside and the tables that can be seated will almost be full. Each table and chairs have three sections. At the very back are the seats for the commoners, followed by the seats for nobles such as dukes, counters, viscounts, barons, and their wives and children while a long table with only six seats is the seat for the royal family and to whoever is endowed withtitle as prince or princess of the first rank.
We have reached the seat that is for the commoners. Sad to say, Lina and I can only sit here because we don't have a title. Lieutenant Jared and Sergeant Min were generals and they were promally conferred that title so there they would sit in the second set of seats along with the other nobles. Trevas, on the other hand, will no doubt sit there in one of the six front seats.
