Chapter 42
When I got down I immediately saw colonel jay and behind him there were five other royal guards and they were walking towards me.
"Colonel jay" I smiled at him but I was suddenly cornered when he didn't smile back like I used to.
"You have to come with us Miss Alissa" he said in his serious voice so I was even more worried that something bad would happen.
"Where?" I asked but instead of answering, colonel jay just greeted his men and they approached me. Before I could understand what was happening I just found myself inside their carriage with my hands handcuffed so I could not use my power.
I still don't know where you are going and I don't know what's going on but no matter what I ask colonel jay in front of me he doesn't say a word so I have no choice but to wait to get to where they will take me.
The nervousness still lingered in my chest but I didn't notice it on my face and looked out of the carriage window without emotion.
The carriage stopped opposite an oval plaza. There are semi -circular poles in the plaza. There was a small platform in the middle of the plaza and in front of the platform was mat higher stage where there were sitting a few people that I could not see because we were quite far away.
Colonel jay got out of the carriage first and the royal guard pushed me down so I almost fell but I didn't say a word when colonel jay held my arm and took me somewhere.
I turned around. There were many people in the plaza but no one approached the stage in the middle of the plaza but I was shocked when colonel jay took me there. I could feel the people looking at us as we approached the stage but suddenly the people whispered when colonel jay bowed to me on the small platform.
"What does this mean—" I hadn't finished speaking when I suddenly stopped.
I was stunned by the high stage in front of me and the man sitting in the chair in the middle and he was also staring back at me.
"The trial of Alissa Knoxx is starting" colonel jay began but I still couldn't take my eyes off trevas who was also looking at me from his seat.
"Alissa knoxx is accused of being behind the attack that took place on the day of the coronation of his highness crown prince Trevas as crown prince"
Trevas's forehead furrowed even more and I noticed that he tightened his grip on the arm rest of his chair while still not taking his eyes off me.
"And also according to the investigation, Alissa knoxx was involved in the poisoning of his highness crown prince Trevas"

The people around whispered. Trevas' face got worse from what he heard and so did Lieutenant Jared and Sergeant Min who were also sitting in one of the chairs above the stage in front of me and it was only then that I realized that the positions in front of me now were all high except for to the king who was in the palace. The people around me will probably decide what I will be punished for if I am found guilty.
"What's going on?" Trevas asked before shifting his gaze to colonel jay standing next to me.
Colonel Jay nodded before answering. "According to the royal Alchemist who treated you, your highness. The frozen chrysanthemum flower is the main ingredient for the antidote but that flower is also the main ingredient for making the poison."
"So?" Trevas asked but instead of speaking, Colonel Jay waved to one of the royal quards standing behind me.
The royal guard walked to the stage and laid a flower on the table in front of those sitting on the stage and my eyes widened when I saw the frozen chrysanthemum I left in my room.
"Before we arrested Alissa knoxx to bring her here we first conducted an investigation and found that flower in her room"
"that was supposed to be used for the antidote" I said so everyone looked at me at the same time. I looked up for a moment but immediately bowed when Trevas and I caught sight of each other.
"This was supposed to be used for the antidote?" Colonel jay repeated my question. I nodded.
“If my memory serves me right, the frozen chrysanthemum given by Lady Mara was used for the antidote of his highness crown prince Trevas” it said.
“I know” I bit my lip so hard when I remembered about that.
"Your highness" colonel jay addressed Trevas. "Do you know about this?"
I close my eyes tightly because I already know what he will answer.
"N-no ..." Trevas said almost in a whisper.
"So, miss Alissa, you're saying that the frozen chrysanthemum in your possession is for the antidote of his highness but even he doesn't know about it?"
"It's because I can't tell anyone" I said and my chest was beating faster and faster. Is this how dad felt when he was on trial?
"You can't tell anyone? You can't tell others you own a frozen chrysanthemum? Why?"
I was bitten so hard on my lip and I felt panic. I can't tell them about the Frozen Chrysanthemum because of the Infragilis Vow I performed with the goddess of tears otherwise I would die.
