Third Person’s POV
There's a night party happening at Lanceil’s father's house to celebrate the collaboration project between Dawson and Grim’ enterprises. The guests include investors, stockholders, and friends who all played a part in the successful merging. The party is taking place in the garden, where everyone is enjoying the night sky view and indulging in delicious food on the table. Waiters are serving well-aged wines to the attendees.
Amidst the cheerful crowd at the event, a tall man in a black suit catches the eye of the single ladies. Despite his youthful appearance, even the older women find him attractive. In the business world, it's important to remember everyone you meet at such gatherings. Many are curious about this young, tall, and handsome man who seems to be searching for someone as he walks around.
"Where's your son? Why didn't you invite him?"
"Oh, you know how kids are these days. He's not a fan of these events."
The tall man suddenly stops in his tracks upon seeing the two elderly gentlemen who are the center of attention. Just as they begin to turn towards him, he swiftly changes direction and disappears into the crowd. While making his way through the guests, he accidentally bumps into someone.
"Ahhh!"
"Ohh?"
Frowning, they exchanged glances. One of them was dressed in a black suit, while the other sported a white tuxedo.
"Oops, my bad," the man in the black suit apologized.
"Yeah, no worries," came the nonchalant response.
As they were about to go their separate ways, the man in the black suit quickened his pace. It wasn't until he collided with someone that he realized it was the very person he had come to see!
"Hold on a second!" he exclaimed, grabbing onto the wrist of Lanceil Grim, son of Ian Grim.
Lanceil turned around, only to find himself face-to-face with the tall man who had bumped into him. "What's up?"
"I'm Mikhail Dawson, son of Jake Dawson," he introduced himself. "You're Mr. Ian's son, right? I actually came here to talk to you."
Lanceil wondered what this could be about. However, seeing the desperation in Mikhail's eyes, he knew he would regret it if he didn't hear him out.
"Sure," Lanceil agreed, gently removing Mikhail's hand from his wrist. He didn't want people to start spreading rumors just because they saw him holding hands with another man. "What did you want to talk about?"
Mikhail glanced over at their fathers. Although Lanceil didn't follow his gaze, he could sense where it was directed, having been looking at his own father just moments ago.
["Our father attempted to kill her."]
Vincent's words echoed in Lanceil's mind, refusing to fade away.
Every time he glanced at his father, a surge of anger coursed through him.
But despite his suspicions, Lanceil couldn't find any concrete evidence to support his belief that his father was capable of such evil deeds.
After all, a father is still a father, regardless of any doubts a son may have. Lanceil attributed his conflicted emotions to his own bloodline and his reluctance to confront the harsh reality.
"Is it about my father and yours," Mikhail answered.
His response hit Lanceil like a bolt of lightning. It confirmed his worst fear, bringing him one step closer to the truth he dreaded.

Lanceil's POV
1I took Mr. Jake's son, Mikhail, to my dad's office at our house. It's the one spot without any security cameras, and my dad won't be coming in because he's busy entertaining the guests.
Sitting on the couch, I glanced at the man sitting across from me. He seemed nervous, playing with his fingers and avoiding eye contact. It almost felt like he was a suspect in an interrogation room. But I wasn't the one to judge. Maybe once he leaves, it'll be my turn to take his place.
"How did you know me?" I asked.
He let out a sigh before replying, "I did some digging before coming here. Dad has no idea I used the extra invitation he had hidden in his room."
"Alright, tell me. Why did you come looking for me?"
Mikhail locked eyes with me, but this time there was a different intensity in his gaze. It was as if he had made up his mind and was determined not to back down, like a lion eyeing its prey from a distance. Although I wasn't his target, I couldn't help but sense the hostility he harbored.
"Let's talk about the stocks in your company," he began.
I nodded, crossing my legs. “Continue.”
A brown envelope suddenly materialized on the table. "Do you know Mr. Samson?" he inquired as he placed the envelope in the middle.
"I'm familiar with him. He has a substantial stake in our company," I replied.
"I've heard that they're about to reveal the new owner of his shares. Interestingly, my father..."
He tapped the envelope and went on, "has Mr. Samson's final will. He intends to pass on all his shares to his daughter, Agatha Samson."
Did...I hear him right?
"Who?"
"Agatha Samson," he repeated a name that's not only familiar to my mind but also close to my heart.
Wait, Agatha is his daughter? That doesn't make any sense.
When I checked her background, it showed that they aren't related at all, despite having the same surname as Mr. Samson.
"I think my father is trying to manipulate Mr. Samson's last will to ensure his daughter gets a share. I know it's hard to believe since we just met, but our fathers are planning to harm Mr. Samson's daughter in order to gain control of his shares."
"..."
“When I rummaged through my father's place, I stumbled upon a forged document stating that Agatha planned to halve her shares and hand them over to our fathers. They would then forge her signature and eliminate her shortly after.”
I was so furious that I couldn't even speak, my entire body trembling with rage. A heavy silence hung in the air between us. Suddenly, Mikhail dropped to his knees.
"I'm pleading with you. If I expose the truth, no one will believe me. I know that revealing this secret will have serious repercussions for our family businesses. But I can't just stand by and watch them take Agatha's life. I can't... let them harm the woman I love."
Neither can I.
