Sold as Slave Chapter 30

As soon as Vincent entered his friend’s house, he heard a piercing shout for him. “Agatha pooped in my shoes!” his friend complained. He was referring to the stray cat from the street that Vincent took and brought to his friend’s house. Weirdly, when Vincent heard that the cat, which was named after his brother’s maid, he had an odd image of the real human Agatha pooping in the shoes. “Pfft…!” Vincent laughed, which annoyed his friend even more. “Do you think it’s funny?” Wiping his wet eyes, Vincent answered, “Yeah.” “HA HA HA,” Jackson gave him an excessive laugh before he pointed to the cat, that aws biting and scratching the sofa. “That’s funny?” Vincent was ignorant and said, “Why? She’s cute.” “Cute my ass! I bought my shoes for $500! And the CUTE LITTLE FELLA, pooped in my shoes!” “That’s not expensive. My shoes are $2000.” “Vincent, you bastard….!” “Fuck. You are so noisy.” Vincent shook his ear with his forefinger. “Don’t you feel guilty for shouting at me when I was away for a long time?” “Sadly, I don’t. TAKE YOUR CAT AWAY. PLEASE, DUDE.” “I can’t,” Vincent said, sighing. He sat on the couch and looked at the black and white cat, which stopped as soon it laid its eyes on the handsome long-legged man who took her out of the box. “I don’t have my own place. My brother is allergic to cats.” Jackson rolled his eyes. He, therefore, suggested, “Then bring it to any veterinary shop.” “Are you crazy? I don’t like to carry a cat. People will think that I’m a cute guy who loves cute pets.” “THEN….! Why did you take it in the first place?” With excessive hand gestures which show his annoyance, Jackson inquired about his friend’s intention. Once again, Vincent met the little kitten’s round eyes. He took the cat because he pitied it, just like how he pitied the real Agatha. “I’m begging you, Vincent. Take your cat away. NOW,” Jackson warned as he pointed in the direction of the door. To answer him, Vincent took out his wallet. “$700 per month.” “Do you think you can buy me with money?” “$1500.” “I’ll take care of your cat, Sir,” Jackson suddenly agreed . He looked at the cat and sweetly called her, “Hey kitty kitty~ It’s time to feed you.” Jackson carried the cat in a gentle way. “Why is our Agatha so cutie patotie?” “Meow.” “Awww, you are so…” Jackson stopped when he felt a warm liquid on his chest. “Oh? W-What is this?” He looked down and saw his limited-edition Guess shirt that was wet with the cat’s pee. “MY SHIRT! GODDAMIT! VINCENT, I CAN’T TAKE CARE OF TH…” “$2000.” Jackson’s anger subsided. Carrying the cat in his arms, he forced a smile on his lips and murmured, “It’s okay, Agatha. Uncle Jackson can understand you.” He glared at Vincent before he took the cat on the way to the kitchen. Chuckling, Vincent looked at the wall clock above the Television and saw that its hands pointed to half past six in the afternoon. “Did she go back home already?” Vincent mumbled. “WHAT DID YOU SAY?!” Jackson, who has a strange strong hearing ability, shouted from the kitchen. “I’M NOT TALKING TO YOU!” Vincent answered. Then he stared at the clock again. ‘She probably got discharged from the hospital, right?’ He thought as he worried about Agatha. **** ********************* ********** Agatha’s POV My plan tonight was to cook dinner, hide inside my room, wait for him to finish his meal, go outside, wash the dishes alone, and attend the review center. ‘This plan sounds unreliable.’ Anyway, I must make sure not to appear in front of him tonight. I knew there was no point in avoiding him because we were living under the same roof. But I am still not ready to meet him after what happened. I saw him m*sturbating while calling my name. And I did it also while thinking of him. ‘Just how awkward it would be to see each other after that?’ Taking a deep breath, I stepped forward on the way to the kitchen. But after my first step, the door of Lanceil’s office opened at the same time. “…” “…” I wanted to run and flee, but my feet would not allow me to do so, for every muscle froze in the spot. The pulse that was beating so loud in my ears blocked all other sounds except his breath. “Where did you go?’ his husky voice sucked every air from my mouth. I stretched the corner of my lips and looked back at Sir Lanceil. “H-Hello, Sir. Good evening. How’s your day?” “…” He didn’t answer and just kept on looking at me. ‘Okay. This is so awkward.’ I felt the sweat run down my back while I was waiting for his response. “You’re blocking the pathway,” he said. “What?” I lifted my eyes to the man who said that I am blocking his way. After some blinking, I quickly stepped back. “S-Sorry, Sir.” Sir Lanceil moved forward as if nothing happened. Shouldn’t I need to say something? “Sir!” I called. Sir Lanceil stopped but he didn’t look back. “A-About the time I was admitted in hospital,” I stuttered while fidgeting my fingers. “Actually, I don’t remember anything.” No matter where I looked, lying that I forgot everything might be the only choice I have. “You don’t remember anything?” he asked. I nodded my head. “Y-Yes.” “Hmmmm,” he hummed. “Well, nothing much happened. You came home with a high fever. I took you in the hospital. The doctor looked after you and you fell asleep after taking meds.” I knitted my brows at his story. ‘He’s a good liar too.’ “If you don’t have any questions, anymore, I’ll go now,” Sir Lanceil said, pointing to the door. “Where are you going, Sir?” “I will eat dinner with a friend,” he said. “You don’t need to cook. Bye.” Lanceil quickly walked out of the house. Finally, I felt a sense of relief. “If every day will be as awkward as this, I might die early,” I said while caressing my chest. This should be a good sign because I am finally making advances with my seducing plan. But deep inside, I knew I was stepping into trouble with this god*mn lust and love. “I need to meet Brett and tell him about this,” I said. I was about to go back to my room, but I saw a canned juice on the table, there in the kitchen. I didn’t see that before. Feeling thirsty, I grabbed the juice and drank it. Ting! I almost choked when I heard the notification from my pocket. When I grabbed my phone and looked at it, the devil finally sends a message. [“Let’s meet tomorrow – Evil Master”]
