Gu Siyu sat in the driver’s seat, driving the car. When he heard Shen Heyu’s agreement, he slammed on the brakes and the car stopped by the side of the road.
Shen Heyu’s body lurched forward due to inertia, and Gu Siyu quickly pulled her back.
Shen Heyu felt his touch and instinctively wanted to keep a distance from him, but as she looked up, she saw the sincerity in Gu Siyu’s eyes.

Shen Heyu was merely exchanging equivalences. She agreed because Gu Siyu managed to bring Yuexue’s lifesaver, sacrificing herself to become Song Miaoyu’s boyfriend.
So now Shen Heyu was agreeing to his somewhat absurd condition.
Two parts of the joy in Gu Siyu’s heart faded. He forced a smile and lightly chuckled.

"Have you forgotten? Yuexue is such a clever girl. If you stick by her side without a break, she’ll soon grow suspicious and realize it’s not as simple as complications from a cold or flu."
Gu Siyu’s reminder made some sense, but for now, Shen Heyu couldn’t think of anywhere else to go besides the hospital. She felt like she had nowhere else to turn.
"If you don’t mind, I have an apartment near the hospital that’s clean, but I haven’t lived in it yet. You could stay there for a while."
Gu Siyu opened the storage compartment and took out a set of keys, presenting them in front of Shen Heyu.
