“Just now, it seemed like something fell down,” Shen Heyu’s attention had been entirely on Gu Siyu, but she saw something fall from above in the corner of her eye.
Gu Siyu noticed it, too. He let go of Shen Heyu’s shoulders and turned his head to look down.
The very instant he saw the ground floor, he felt as if the blood in his entire body had frozen.
Shen Heyu’s eyes slowly widened in disbelief as she lifted a hand to cover her mouth.
There was a person lying on the ground below, face down, with a deep crimson of fresh blood oozing around the head.
Moreover, the woman lying on the ground was wearing very familiar clothes, the same as Gu Siyu’s senior, Song Miaoyu.
“Senior Sister!” Gu Siyu reacted, shouting loudly before he turned and ran, with Shen Heyu following him downstairs.
If they had just stood in the corridor, looking down to see the woman lying on the ground wearing clothes identical to Song Miaoyu’s, they might have surmised it was very likely Song Miaoyu, but they still harbored a glimmer of hope, feeling it couldn’t be Song Miaoyu.

Gu Siyu yelled out before he suddenly awoke with a start, sitting up straight in bed.
His face was pale, his forehead beaded with cold sweat. After regaining consciousness, he turned his head to look at Shen Heyu and reached out, gripping her hand tightly.
He said to Shen Heyu anxiously, “Heyu, do you know? I just had a nightmare. I dreamt that my senior sister fell from a building and died.”
Gu Siyu’s pupils dilated with disbelief. He turned to Shen Heyu for confirmation that it was all just a nightmare.
Seeing him , Shen Heyu could only let out a helpless sigh, and somewhat uncomfortably pulled her hand out of his grip.
She looked up at Gu Siyu with a somewhat worried expression, “Gu Siyu, there’s something I have to tell you, but you must prepare yourself mentally.”
“What are you going to tell me? You’re not going to say that I wasn’t dreaming, that my senior sister really did fall from the building, are you? That’s absolutely impossible.”

Shen Heyu knew that Gu Siyu was heartbroken, but avoiding reality would only make it worse. Better a short pain than a long one.
As soon as Shen Heyu finished speaking, she heard Gu Siyu laugh heartbreakingly.
“You must be lying to me. I know my senior sister better than anyone. She would never end her life so easily, all of this must be fake.”
“Is it because I told senior sister that after waiting two more days, I would become her boyfriend, that she got angry and decided to play such a cruel joke?”
