Pei Yansi intended for someone to keep a tight watch on Lu Yi, giving him no chance whatsoever to get close to Shen Heyu and harm her.
Shen Heyu had left the hospital not long before when she received a call from Pei Yansi, who wanted to meet with her.
"Mr. Pei, I think there’s nothing left for us to talk about. I’ve already made myself clear to you. Given the circumstances, there’s no need to waste both of our time," Shen Heyu coldly refused to meet with Pei Yansi. After all, Lu Yi was already going crazy over her and Pei Yansi’s affair.

Soon after, Shen Heyu received a message from Pei Yansi. She didn’t want to go initially, but the recent changes in Lu Yi were too significant, and ultimately she decided to keep the appointment.
"Mr. Pei, just say what you have to say. I have other matters to attend to later," Shen Heyu ordered a glass of soda water, not planning to have a long conversation with Pei Yansi.
