Shen Heyu looked earnestly at Lu Yi; she had never observed his expression and appearance so intently before.
Although they had known each other for a long time and been together for a long time, the current Lu Yi felt unfamiliar to Shen Heyu—a kind of unfamiliarity she had never experienced before.
When Lu Yi heard what Shen Heyu said, instead of reflecting, he ironically smirked, pulling at the corner of his lips.

After hearing Shen Heyu’s words, Lu Yi not only failed to reflect but also kept accusing her.

Shen Heyu tried to turn around and leave, but Lu Yi grabbed her wrist abruptly with great force.
"You haven’t finished speaking. I won’t allow you to leave," Lu Yi commanded Shen Heyu with unusual dominance.
Shen Heyu, enduring the pain transmitting from her arm, frowned and turned back to look at Lu Yi.
The Lu Yi right now seemed like a completely different person. If it weren’t for his face and voice remaining the same, Shen Heyu might have doubted if the person in front of her was swapped by someone else.

"You jerk, you’re going too far," Shen Heyu said, her eyes reddened as she looked at Lu Yi, unable to believe those sharp, blade-like words had come from him.
Having been slapped, Lu Yi only smiled, pressing his tongue against his cheek.
"That was a great slap; it seems I’ve struck a nerve, so you lash out in rage and embarrassment," Lu Yi said sarcastically, each word like a sharp knife aiming to split open Shen Heyu’s heart.
Shen Heyu, hurt by his verbal abuse, turned her head away, no longer wanting to see Lu Yi’s face.
"You’re acting so strange today; I don’t want to talk to you right now. Let’s wait until you calm down, then we can have a proper talk."
"I’ll leave now; I won’t stay here any longer. If you need anything, you can call the doctor or the nurse."
Having said this, Shen Heyu left without looking back, as every glance at Lu Yi was now a torture to her.

"You must clarify things with me today; are you trying to kick me aside and reconcile with Pei Yansi? Let me tell you, I will not let you have your way."
Angrily approaching Shen Heyu, Lu Yi grabbed and held up her wrist; Shen Heyu looked in disbelief at the demon-like Lu Yi.
