Hunter POV
Linnea was still asleep when we got home despite the duration of our trip. I don’t know what happened and she became like this.
"Sir the doctor is here to see Linnea." Dane said as he entered the room followed by the doctor.
"What happened to her Hunter?" my private doctor immediately asked when she saw Linnea.
"I don't know Kyle, ever since I took him to Aiden's home she's been like that and up to this day she's still unconscious." I explained.
He shook his head for how many times. "She had internal bleeding, that's why she's like this. She needs rest so she can regain her strength. When she wakes up you feed her and these are the medicines she needs to drink." the doctor said.
I couldn't help but clench my fist. I will definitely kill Aiden! What did she do to Linnea?
Later, the doctor said goodbye and Dane accompanied him.
I picked up my phone to call the stupid Aiden.
"You are really a smart person Hunter, you jerk!" he exclaimed.
"Is that the reason why you want to be like me right Aiden? But it looks like until now you still haven't learned." I replied to him.
I know how angry he is now because he didn't get what he wanted. I am not a fool to give him what he asks for, I will not allow what I have worked for to go to waste.
I heard him laugh on the other line. "If you think you win against me Hunter you are wrong. You think I didn't prepare for this thing? I'm not as weak as you think."
Suddenly my forehead furrowed when I heard what he said. Impossible!
"Oh why are you silent?" He added.
"You are a really crazy bastard! And you think I'll believe it? Why don't you just accept that you're a loser and until now you can't beat me." I said..
"That's what you think Hunter,"
"What do you mean? I got Linnea back from you. Do you think I'll chase after you?" I said.
"Have you checked Linnea yet? Look at her neck, there's a necklace on it. And if you thought it was just a simple necklace that I put on her you are wrong. There was a controller there and I was holding the remote, you probably know what that means right? " he said last and immediately dropped the call.
I slapped my hand on the table that was already close to me. I never thought Aiden would think of this thing.
Shit shit shit.
I quickly approached Linnea and looked at the necklace on her neck. When I saw it I knew that her life was still in danger.
I thought I finally got Linnea back but I haven't, so he easily let me get it because he did something.
Linnea POV
I woke up feeling very sick and I noticed that I had dextrose. I can't move much because I'm still weak.
I saw Hunter lying on the sofa near the bed, I couldn’t help but smile realizing that I was finally home..
Even though my body was still in pain, I slowly stood up carrying the dextrose. I took a blanket and placed it on him, who was sound asleep.
I get water in the small refrigerator here in Hunter's room to drink.
I looked in the mirror and saw my face, it was obviously very tired and almost sleepless. I even saw the wound in my mouth, I smiled bitterly. I didn't know I would reach this situation. My normal life becomes chaotic in an instant.
I just combed my hair and tied it up, because I look like a witch. Then I approached Hunter who is still asleep to this day.
Even though we didn't get to know each other well, I can't deny that Hunter was kind to me, even though he was scary to look at, he saved me from danger for how many times.
But until now I still don't know anything about his life, since I met him and I lived in this house he has not told me anything about his family. Is he really alone?
I saw him move so I backed away a bit.
"I'm sorry if I woke you up." I said..
He got up from lying down. "No worries, were you awake earlier? You shouldn't have stood up first."
"I'm okay now and I'm thirsty when I woke up, that's why I got up to get water." I explained.
"You just call me or wake me up so that I can get it for you.."
I hit him. "I’m not disabled!"
"Ouch! I’m just suggesting because I know you are not totally fine.."
"Whatever." I got up to go back to my bed and he supported me.
"Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?"
"Anything is fine with me." I answer.
"Wait for me here, I'll just order the maids to bring food here."
He stood up and walked out of the room but within a few minutes he returned immediately.
"Wait for a few minutes, so the maid can prepare your food."
I nodded and went back to bed.
"Are you sure that you are okay?"
I looked at him. "I told you that I'm okay, you don't need to worry. My body just hurts but it will be okay soon." I answered him.
He sighed and sat down next to me. A few minutes ago there was a knock and an assistant entered carrying a tray full of food. He just laid it on the table and left immediately.
"Eat that, you need to eat more healthy foods to regain your strength." Hunter said and placed the food on me.
"This food is too much Hunter, is this my last meal?" I joked.
"You need that to get your strength back faster before I kill that bastard you did that to you.”
I quickly slapped him on his shoulder. "Stop it, sometimes you need to zipper your mouth.” I said.
“What? I’m just telling the truth after what he did to you? I will never forgive him.”
I shook my head and started eating already.
