I sat all through the night watching her, I watched as she breathed with the aid of the oxygen.
'Nothing is going to happen to her ' I as I made a promise in my words.
She being in this state made me realize that I love her, She was my world and I might not be the same if anything happens to her.
I bent my head on her bed and didn't realize when I slept off.

"Good morning sir," A female voice said as she kept on tapping on my shoulder.
"Ugh!!" I said weirdly as I looked around wondering if it's all a dream but it's not when I realized Amanda was still on the bed.
"Sir, you have to excuse us as we want to check on the patient." The nurse said, then I noticed the doctors were in the room too.
I stood up abruptly and went out of the room.
I sighed and brushed my hair back with my palms.
I asked for directions to the bathroom and got there staring at myself in the mirror.
I looked like someone who was going crazy and needed therapy and dark circles had already formed beneath my eyes.
Funny though, this is just day two and what happened to Amanda caused a big blow in me.
I switched the tap on and rinsed my face with the cold water which was electrifying on my skin. I cupped my hands together to collect some amount of water taking them into my mouth.
Rinsing my mouth, I poured the water back into the sink.
I made my way out of the bathroom when I started receiving messages and calls expressing their sympathy.
My best buddy called me, Luciano gave me a call and I picked on a go.
"Hey, buddy! So sorry for what happened to your assistant and the news is on everywhere." He sympathized.
" Thanks, man," I appreciated.
"How is she faring now?" He asked.
"Better," I said firmly.
'She has to better or else I won't be myself.
I and Luciano talked some more and he asked for the name of the hospital and said he wanted to visit, which I told him.
My mum was the next online and I pick immediately.
"Darling!!! So sorry about what happened to that beautiful assistant of yours, How is she faring? Hope her condition is not critical? Please hope you are strong and coping?" My mum asked multiple questions at a time making me sick.
" She is getting better," I said my voice as calm as it could.
" Okay dear, please take to heart and accept my sympathy, your dad also sends his regards." She said.
" Thanks, mum, I appreciate it," I said and hanged up.
I received more calls every one of them sympathizing and I was getting sick and dawn about it.
I called the media immediately.
"Good morning, this is Drake Tristan the CEO of Tristan limited, I would like you to put a stop and clear all information regarding my assistant accident," I said firmly as I sat on a seat in the waiting room.
" Okay sir, we will do that right away." A male voice answered.
" Thanks!" I said and hanged up.
I sighed and bowed my head covering my face with my palms.
"Good morning," Annie greeted her voice sounding more better than yesterday as I raised my head to look at her.
"Morning, were you able to get asleep?" I asked.
"Not really," She said tiredly as she sat on the seat.
" Good morning Sir," Max greeted as I turned my attention to him.
He was holding a small bag which I guess my clothes were in and another bag which I assumed was food.
"Good morning Max," I greeted.
"I brought you some clothes," He said as he handed me the bag.
" Thanks," I said taking the bag from him standing up to go to the bathroom to change.
10 minutes later.
I got out of the bathroom feeling a bit better and refreshed.
I went back to the waiting room where Annie was seated smiling at a little kid and Max was busy with a newspaper.
I got closer to them and Annie looked at me.
"Hey!" She said.
"How are you doing?" I asked.
"Not fine until Amanda is fine," She said sadly.
One of the doctors that examined Amanda walked up to us and I went closer to him, hoping to receive positive news.
"Like to have a word with you," He said looking at me.
"Okay!"I said trying to lace my fears away.
" The good thing is that she's responding quickly to our treatments and within three to four days she should be able to open her eyes," He said and I got relieved Immediately.
" Thank you so much, "I said happily.
I walked back to where Annie and Max were and Mrs. Wood and Luciano were around.
"Mr. Tristan please accept my sympathy and I pray nothing like this happens again." Mrs. Wood said as she gave me a bunch of flowers.
" Thank you so much," I said collecting the flowers delightfully am going to place this beside Amanda.
Luciano gave me a light hug and he waved at Annie.
The situation I was in didn't give me the strength to ask if he knew her before.
Max asked me to eat which I refused but after much persuasion from everyone, I decided to eat.
Mrs. Wood was nice enough to fill for me at work and I thanked her greatly.
After few hours everyone said their goodbye and left except for Annie and Max that decided to stay longer before going.
When I was finally alone, I went back to Amanda's room and checked on her.
