They got to the the door and he held her hand and register her finger print to the lock. Then he open the door for them.
“I will take a shower first” he said and went to the bathroom. Sonya sat down on the bed and touched it. The room is the size of her aunt’s house. She wondered why Evelyn is living in the same apartment with her when her family is so rich. She waited and when she can no longer here the sound of the water, she knew he has finished. She stood up from the bed and wait for him to come out. Maxwell came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped just around his waist. Sonya widen her eyes and stare at his body.
“broad chest and smooth skin” she thought in her head and smile unconsciously.
“are you done assessing my body? He asked, he has already moved near to her side. Sonya realize herself and avert her eyes from his body.
“I will take a shower now” she said and ran to the bathroom, Maxwell wanted to tell her something but before he could talk she enter inside and close the door after her.
“I just wanted to tell you that what you are going to change into is out here.” he said after her but she didn’t hear him. Maxwell walk to another part of the room and opened his wardrobe. He pick out two of his pyjamas and walk back to the bed. He wore one and waited for her to come out. He waited for long but she was not out. after waiting for about an hour, he walk over to the bathroom with the clothes in his hand and knock on the door.
“Sonya are you done?” there was no response.
“are you okay in there?” he asked again getting anxious. When he did not receive any answer again, he wanted to open it from outside when he heard Sonya’s gentle voice. “there is no clothes for me to change into” Maxwell sigh in relieve.
“open up, I have something you can still manage” he answered. She open the door with a towel wrapped around her. Maxwell look away and stretch the clothes to her, she quickly collect it from him and close the door again. Maxwell waited for three minutes at the door before she opens it again and came out. They both walk to the bed and lie down on the side.
“goodnight” Sonya said and close her eyes. Maxwell didn’t reply her so she wonder what he was doing. She waited to see if he is going to do anything but after a while all she heard was him breathing. She open her eyes and saw that he was already fast asleep. She moved closer the him and touch his face. Everything that happened is really true.
“whether he is Maxwell Hart or handsome man, she does not really care but she knows for one thing that she really likes him” she thought and also close her eyes and give in to sleep.Sonya wake up and touch the other side of the bed and find that Maxwell was not there. She close again and breath in fresh air. She recollect yesterday and smile to herself.
"He really kept his word and didn't touch her" she thought. She rolled over the bed and continue smiling, grinning like a child.
"You must really like my bed" she heard Maxwell's voice and stop what she was doing. She sat up and saw him sitting in a corner in the room.
"Why? Are you that excited about sleeping with me" he continues.
"Hey! What are you talking about? What do you mean sleeping with you" Sonya snap at him.
"Okay, so are disappointed that you didn't get to sleep with me then?" Maxwell said and stood up from the chair and move closer to her.
"It's not any of that" she reply and stood up from the bed. Maxwell quicken his step and held her to himself.
"What do you want?" Sonya asked.
"Am just wondering how you've changed overnight." He said. "What do you mean?" He held up her hand and kiss them.
"I just think you've become more daring" he said and kiss her other hand.
"I will say that's because of my boyfriend" she said teasing. "Really? Then shouldn't you give your boyfriend a kiss" he said and kissed her lips gently. Sonya smile and also kissed him. They continue slowly and was getting carried away when they heard a noise at the door. They stop kissing and look towards the direction. Then they heard a knock. Maxwell released her from his arm and went to open the door.
"Who can that be?" Sonya asked. Maxwell stop in his step and turn to face her.
"I forgot to tell you that my mom is here" he said and open the door and saw his mother.
"Hi, morning, hope am not interrupting something" his mom said cheerfully.
"You are already interrupting by coming to my place uninvited" he answered.
"how can you talk to your mother like that and am not here for you. Just tell that beautiful girl that breakfast is ready" she said and try to see inside but Maxwell block her. Then she leaves. Maxwell close the door and went back to meet Sonya.
"Why didn't you tell me your mom will be here?" She snap at him.
"I also don't know that and besides your roommate told her" he answered not caring at all.
"Ah! She actually forgot about the fact that Evelyn is Max well's sister" she quickly come down from the bed.
"This is your fault, what will she think about me now" she said worried.
"Why are you worried about that?" He asked.
"Why won't I be worried, we just started dating yesterday and am already at your place, on the bed.what do you think she will think about me?" She emphasized.
"If that's your concern, then you don't need to bother yourself. She won't think of you like that" he said and then whispered to her ears.
"And rather than that I think she will be more happy if that happens" Sonya beat his chest away and he walks away to another side of the room.
"As for the clothes you will wear, I placed it in the first part of the wardrobe for you. Wash up quickly and come out to eat" he said and leaves.
