She arrive at Simon's place and knock on the door. Amy open the door for her.
"Amy you are here" she said surprised. She lead her inside.
"I was just about to leave also" Amy said.
"Where is he?"
"He is inside. He seems very sick but won't go to the hospital" she answered and lead her to his room. Simon was on the bed and his face was pale.
"Okay, I get it. Thank you" she said to Amy and watch her leave. Sonya went back to his room and saw that his hand was injured.
"What happened to you? I thought you were alright yesterday" she said. Simon opened his eyes. He saw Sonya and signal for her to come closer. She move closer to him and sat next to him. Simon draw her nearer and hug her. Sonya was taken aback but she still hug him back.
"Are you sure you don't need to go to the hospital?" Simon shake his head to indicate no
"Please don't leave" he murmured. Sonya waited for him to fall asleep, then she stood up and went to prepare something for him to eat. She finished and wake him up then feed him and let him fall back asleep. Then she help tidy up the room and clean everywhere. When she was through, she text Charles to apologize that she wouldn’t be coming anymore. Then Maxwell call came in. “when are you finishing from the library so I can come pick you up” he asked.
“am not at the library. Simon is not feeling too well and I have to stay here with him" Maxwell was quiet. "Where are you?" She heard he say.
"At his house" Maxwell was quiet again before he reply.
"Send me the address, I will come meet you there" he finally said and disconnect the call before Sonya could say anything else. Sonya doubted if she should send it, but decided to send it anyways.
"He might just want to know where she is" she thought. After some time, she heard the door bell rang and she went to open it and was slightly surprise to see Maxwell.
"You are really came" Maxwell studied her and saw that she was putting on a man's cloth. obviously Simon's.
"How is he?" He forced himself to ask.
"He is better" Sonya reply then there was silence between them. "Sorry, come in" she said and lead him inside. She served him something to drink and sat down beside him. Maxwell didn't pick up the drink and crossed his legs.
"Do you miss me so much?" she asked. "Yes" he answered and Sonya blushed
"I actually forgot to inform you because I didn't know I will be here for a long time." She try to explain.
"Hmm" he nodded.
"What does hmm means?" She thought.
"Sonya" Sonya turn and saw Simon standing near them.
"You are awake" she said and went to his side. She touch him to see if he is really okay.
"You look fine now" she said again. Maxwell stood up and they both turn to him.
"Are you not Mr Hart? What are you doing here?" Simon asked surprised to see him. Sonya didn't know what to say and look at Maxwell.
"Go wear your clothes and let's leave" Maxwell said instead. Sonya quickly went inside leaving the two of them. She changed her clothes and came out.
"Let's go" Maxwell said to her and wave Simon bye and they left together."They are not talking about me" she said and quickly push him out. She convinced him and told him it's was matters between girls and he seems satisfied with her explanation.
“Simon, what if you hear that I have a boyfriend, what will be your reaction?” she asked.
“why did you ask the obvious, I will be against it obviously” he answered.
“don’t let me catch you with any guy or else I will break the legs of whoever it is” he threatened.
“I was just asking. Its nothing like that” she said. then watch him leave before going back to the house. She wonder if she should have just told him the truth.
“Does he not know about your relationship with Maxwell? I thought you tell him everything” Evelyn ask Sonya immediately she enters back.
“why are you so concerned with my relationship with your brother? Why do you send those pictures to him?” Evelyn stood up and walk up to her.
“my dear sister in law, I just wanted to tease my brother and also your friend here is in love with your cousin and wanted to spend time with you” she said and rub her body on hers. Sonya shake her off and went to sit.
“am sure you must have noticed by now that my brother is a very jealous man? And those pictures are needed for him to call you over and loveth can get to know your cousin better. She further explain.
“sorry if that annoys you but he did not pay any of us attention but you that’s why” loveth chip in.
“your cousin must really like you so much” she added.
“and you must really like her cousin so much too. You keep trying to get his attention all day” Evelyn said and they both turn to her.
“what? Is not like its a crime for me to like him, or does he have a girlfriend?” loveth asked.
“wait! The both of you should wait and let me talk. You like Simon?” Sonya was surprised.
“Surprising. I thought you were still hang up on your ex” she said again. She and loveth continue to tease each other about him.
“Sonya, can I?” loveth said facing her.
"What are you talking about? Of course you can and besides he doesn’t have a girlfriend at the moment" She answered and her phone rang. It's was Charles. She excuse herself and went to talk to him in her room.
"Hey" she said.
"What time will you be ready tomorrow?" He asked.
"I should be done with whatever it is by 8." She answered. "Okay, let’s meet at the front of the library" He said and they talk about other things for sometime before she hang up and enter the bathroom to take a shower. She came out and examine the things Simon got for her. They all look very expensive. Maxwell also but he just got her four dresses. She decide to wear one of them tomorrow. She check up for the price of one of the dress and what she saw was surprised. The price of the dress is more than her salary for more than a year.
"How can I wear something so expensive" she thought.
"i will just wear this" she said picking a dress from the ones Simon bought. She put them at one side of the room and left it there then she slept off. Sonya woke up and quickly prepare before Charles arrive. Just as she was waiting for him, she receive a message from Simon.
"Can you come over" she wonder what was wrong and decides to go meet him first. Then she text Charles to inform him and tell him that she will go over to him once she was done.
