"Nothing really... anything new?" I asked casually.
"Hmm. Kumo has asked for a treaty, so I’ll be going to sign that soon... and the war might just end, so that’s definitely new, I suppose," Sensei replied thoughtfully.
Inaba nodded, then said, "I see. That explains it."
Tobirama raised his eyebrows at that and asked, "Explains what exactly, pray tell?"
"...I want a private meeting. Activate the privacy barriers, please," I said seriously.
Tobirama raised an eyebrow at the sudden shift in tone but gave a short nod. A wave of his hand activated the privacy seals layered across the room.
Now it was just us-student and teacher.
"So, you know my brain enhancement grants me some ridiculous abilities, right?"
"I suppose it does..." Sensei nodded in acknowledgment, wondering if I was trying to flex.
"Yes, and one of them is a boost in intuition. And that enhanced intuition has been flaring up for some time now, like it’s warning me about something that’s about to happen."
"Hmmm... that certainly doesn’t sound good..." Sensei nodded.
"It doesn’t. And just now, when you said you were going to that treaty, my intuition flared again-the highest ever."
Tobirama didn’t flinch, but his focus sharpened, waiting for me to continue.

"I trust it enough to change my own decisions," Inaba said. "So yeah. I do."
Yes, the enhanced intuition thing wasn’t a lie-it really existed. But it was more like: Yeah, something bad is about to happen, and you’re left to wonder what the hell it could be.
Tobirama gave a slow, approving nod. "Good. And I trust your ability. So let’s plan accordingly."
"Well, just set up routine Flying Thunder God seals and don’t carry much dead weight, for starters..." I stated casually.
"Of course. That’s just the basics," Tobirama nodded.
Flying Thunder God markers ensured that he could just teleport away from trouble. And the absence of dead weight meant no need to protect others.
Tobirama personally planned to place them at multiple fallback positions across the valley and along the route back. Not just for escape, but for instant retaliation if things really went wrong.
"Umm, another thing. Check this out," I said to Sensei.
’Hey you, Sensei, wassup!’
"Hmm? Information transfer? Like the Yamanakas..."
"Yes, but better than them. The range and ease of connectivity- I’d act as a radar, focusing on movements from Kumo and others, and relay all information back to you. So that there’s no chance of ambush."
"You know my sensing ability is one of the best in the world, right?"
"Mine’s better," I replied smugly, to which Sensei just sighed.
"Anyways, that should be all."
"Yes. And I’ll give you Genjutsu support too."
"Alright, that’s enough preparation. No need to do all that, I’m not that weak. I can ensure my survival," Sensei replied, annoyed.
"Alright, alright, I won’t do anything." I chuckled. Yes, him knowing about the ambush was enough to ensure his safety.
A few days passed, and the day Tobirama would leave finally arrived.
Inaba stood on the Hokage Monument cliffside, watching his teacher depart using chakra sensing.
The treaty meeting progressed like any other meeting probably should.
The Kumo shinobi arrived- all smiles and formalities. Of course, all of those were fake. Hidden behind their grins was killing intent.
Even the Second Raikage, who wanted the treaty, also had some killing intent.
After all, war breeds resentment.
And voila, the attack started- led by the Gold and Silver Brothers.
But not on Tobirama Sensei.
Instead, the target... was the Second Raikage.

It was a well-planned attack, and executed well enough to ensure that we would receive heavy losses if I didn’t know about it.
My guard had never been down in the first place.
So, not a single Konoha shinobi was harmed.
Well, they consisted only of my personal guards- and only the best among them: Hiruzen, Danzo, and Kagami-so it would be a shame if they actually were hurt.
But not everyone was lucky enough to protect themselves...
My senses told me the Second Raikage didn’t make it.
He fell victim to an attack from his own village.
That was enough for me to know the meeting was over.
I needed to retreat fast-there were far too many Kumo shinobi.
So, I asked Hiruzen, Danzō, and Kagami to gather up and hold on to me, and I used the Flying Thunder God to teleport away from the meeting site and returned to Konoha without further delay.
’Now the Kumo are already weakened.
Although no treaty was signed, the purpose of stopping the war has been achieved.
