“Don’t.” Artemis stopped him. “Don’t take the right that belongs to my mate. I will wait for her to share about it,” he said. “You told me that Caroline is a gem. Indeed, she is a gem; that’s why she is in my life as my marked mate; other people missed having that rare gem because they judged her before knowing her.”
Both friends talked for an hour about random things until Artemis heard Caroline’s voice. “Artemis, go and freshen up. Dinner is almost ready.”
“Yes, Boss.” Artemis grinned, looking at Raul. “Moon Goddess, I’m really enjoying this phase. I’ll be right back.”

“Hey!!” Raul whispered, entering the kitchen.
“Hi!!” Caroline greeted him back, turning off the stove. “All good between you two?”
“Yes, thankfully.” Raul smiled.
“How’s everyone there?” Caroline asked, thinking about her parents.
“All good. But they miss you. Especially your mom.” Raul replied, recalling having dinner with Caroline’s family, where Colton introduced him as his friend’s older brother. Caroline smiled weakly, hearing him. “And even your dad, I guess. He was saying that once you will be back from the tour, he won’t let you go anywhere for at least five years.”
Caroline laughed, “That really sounds like my dad. He is so possessive of all the females of our family.”
“When I will visit there with Artemis. I will stay there at least for a month.”
“Excuse me? What? A month? What about me then?” Artemis landed there all of a sudden. When his ear accidentally helped him in hearing the conversation between Caroline and Raul, he couldn’t help but run out of the washroom after taking a quick shower.
And the fact that she laughed with him triggered his jealousy, and he reached into the kitchen with just a towel.
“God, Artemis!! Go and get some clothes.” Caroline said, shaking her head.
“But..”
“Go!!” Caroline glared, on which he left pouting, and once he did, both Raul and Caroline started laughing again.

“Are you done? How much will you eat?” Bolt asked, narrowing his eyes and looking at Raul, who made his mate laugh TWICE. He wanted to kick him out so that he could enjoy his time with his mate without any disturbance.
Caroline’s eyes widened at his rudeness. “Boltt.. Let him eat properly. Werewolves have a good diet.”
Bolt made a weird face hearing it. The more Raul was taking time to eat, the more he was getting irritated. For Caroline's sake, he didn’t say anything to him for a while until Raul said.
“Caroline, Please pass rice to me,” Raul said, teasing his friend. Bolt hissed in anger and decided to concentrate on food that was planning to murder his hooooman’s best friend. “Bolt, I need..”
Bolt growled at him in anger.
“My mate has cook chicken for me.” He said, gritting his teeth.
Raul looked at him helplessly. How could he eat rice without chicken?
“Raul, leave that. You can have Mushroom Risotto or Lasagna.” Caroline suggested. “And Bolt, I will organize a feat for you some other day. I promise.” She added to calm down a jealous wolf who was acting like a baby.
“Remember that you’re my mate, so you hold the first priority of my mate.”
“Even before your parents?” He asked, shutting Caroline’s mouth. She couldn’t answer him for a while.
‘Was he worried about the fact that I decided to stay a month with my parents, away from him?’ Caroline thought. ‘But… but can I really stay away from him for that long?’

‘At some point in time, one has to choose his/her life partner over every relation, and there’s nothing wrong about it. Because your parents will leave you after getting old or maybe sooner, your children will you for their studies and career. But a life partner is someone who stays beside up in the ups & downs of your life.’

Caroline recalled her mother’s words. Bolt realized that he shouldn’t have asked that question and was about to apologize when she replied, “Yes, even over my parents and my other relations.”

“Bolltttt…” Caroline cried when he picked her in his arms the moment she closed the door, bidding bye to Raul.
“I want to eat my dessert.” He said, taking big steps toward their room.
“That’s… that’s in the fridge,” Caroline responded even though she knew about which dessert he was talking about.
“Trying to act smart, Mate. huh?” He asked. “Never mind, I was talking about having you as my sweet dessert.” He added, showing his teeth that grew longer and teeth like an animal for a while. Though it was scary but at the same time, Caroline was getting excited. When he reached closer to the bed, he threw Caroline on the mattress, making her bounce on the bed.
He threw the t-shirt he was wearing, and in the next second, he hovered over her. Caroline tried to calm down her heart, but because of nervousness and excitement, her heart was pounding loudly against her chest. Bolt leaned toward her lips to taste it. Caroline closed her eyes to feel his soft lips against her lips and enjoy their moment.
“Mmmmm” She moaned under her breath while her hand reached his soft hand smooth back. They kept kissing each other for god knows how long. They broke the kiss, and Bolt was about to ask about taking a final step when he smelled something, and he frowned.
“Blood.” He muttered and looked at Caroline. “Mate, are you hurt? I can smell blood.”
“No,” Caroline replied in confusion. Bolt started following the scent of blood that was coming from Caroline for sure, and then he looked into Caroline’s eyes before speaking.
