“Seven years of experience?” Lucy asked in surprise.
“Yes.” Caroline chuckled at her question.
“But why do you want to work? That too at such a place where you will get paid so less?”
“It’s not about money, Lucy,” Caroline replied. “A person should have their own identity as well. Why do you think Artemis gets pissed when someone judges me before knowing me? That’s because he knows me. And the reason he hates when any of you mention that ‘I trapped him.’ The truth is he trapped me with his sweet and loving gestures. I had already said NO to him for all this FLASH thing.”
Lucy’s jaws dropped hearing her. She didn’t know about this.
“There is a lot man out there who are rich than Artemis and more powerful than Artemis. What do you think is the reason behind choosing Artemis? When can I choose anyone who is already CEO and the Alpha of the pack?”

Sila, Artemis’s mother, was looking closely at the picture of Caroline from the Orphanage that Lucy had sent her. Lucy and Sila were more like friends, so Lucy was also acting as her mediator.
‘She looks familiar.’ She thought and returned back to the call.
“So, you’re saying that whatever she had purchased was for the orphan, not for herself,” Sila asked.
“Yes, Luna. I spent my whole day with her, and trust me, I didn’t feel like she was faking her behavior. And not just me; even Aiden felt the same. I think… I think she is not that bad.”
“But that can’t change the fact that now Artemis can’t be an Alpha, not by witch by his side,” Sila muttered.
“That’s… that’s not true, Luna. If pack members will choose Caroline as their Luna, then that can be possible.” Lucy responded. “That’s a different part that no one likes witches.”
“We will see what will happen next because whatever is happening, I’m positive that Artemis knew about the outcomes of his decision.” Saying this, Sila disconnected the call and looked at Caroline’s face.
‘She looks a little bit like…’ Sila stopped thinking and quickly downloaded the picture editing app. She wasn’t a pro at it, but she replaced Caroline’s black hair with Blonde hair, and her eyes widened when the familiarity between Caroline and her best friend increased.

“Sila, Sila!!” Zoey cried and ran as fast as she could.
“Zoey? What is happening and why… why are you running?” Sila asked in tension, hearing the sound on the other side of the phone.
“I don’t have time to explain. Listen to me; hunters are behind me, and my a few hours daughters. They killed my husband, AKA your brother, and now… Aaahhhh!!”
“Zoey? Zoey?”

Sila wiped her tears and sweat, recalling that horrible night when she lost her brother, her sister-in-law, who was also her best friend, and her niece, which she later found out was that planning and plotting by Artemis’s mother to take revenge on her for stealing her mate from her.
“Sila? Are you all right?” Lorenzo asked, entering their room. He sensed his mate was not in the right state of mind. “What happened?”
“What was the name of the girl who looked like my best friend?” She asked to confirm whether she was on the right track or not.
“Caro. But why are you asking that?”
“Caro, AKA Caroline.” Sila connected the dot. Maybe she could be wrong, but at that moment, she was thinking about what fit right in her mind.
“What do you mean? And who is this 'Caroline?'”
“Caroline. Caroline is the name of Artemis’s mate.” Sila muttered and showed him her mobile. “See, she is the young Caroline; ignore her black hair and dark makeup.” She added. “And this is young Zoey.”
“If there is any chance that Caroline is my niece, then… then….”
“Artemis’ mother is the one who killed her parents.” Lorenzo completed the sentence in tension. “If Caroline is really your niece, then how does she end up becoming a witch?” he questioned.

“Is everything okay at work?” Caroline asked when Artemis reached late from the office.
“I’m sorry for taking so much time, Regina. There was a lot of work piled up in all these days, and the worst part was the shareholder meeting; they were kind of pissed at me.” Artemis said, unbuttoning his coat. He was about to pull it out; he sensed her doing it for him.
He smiled and turned toward her. He wrapped his hand around her waist and kept looking at her without blinking his eyes. Caroline started unbuttoning his shirt before speaking, “Why were they pissed?”
“Because as per them, I threw my birthday party last night and didn’t attend it. But in reality, it was done by Santino.”
“Hmm. So, what now?”
“I have to fix this matter before the end of this week. Because if I’m not wrong, then he is planning to kick me out of the Board of directors list. I received a notice today about the general meeting. And the extraordinary general meeting will be held after twenty-one days after this meeting.”
“Just because you didn’t attend some stupid party?”
“No. Not just that.”
“It’s also because some of the decisions about the company were not great, and the company had to suffer losses because of it,” Artemis replied, and by then, Caroline had pulled out his body. And slowly, her hand moved toward his belt.
“Decision like?”
“Like I thought to open hotels in all the important cities of Italy but… Ahhh… Sarah!!” He stopped, speaking when Caroline touched his rod, pulling it out of his underwear.
