“What the fuck is wrong with you? Don’t you ever understand what I say to you?” He said and began walking away from me. “Geez.’ He murmured.
“I’m not backing down without a fight, Gérard, I love you and that’s all that matters.” I quickly stated.
He laughed. “I wish that were the case. Tell me those exact words in ten years to come. Leave me the fuck alone.”
I blocked his path. “I know you love me. Don’t torture me anymore. Please, I know you are doing this for me. I don’t care even if you act indifferent to me, act all rude, but don’t leave me. Can’t you remember the good times we spent together, what we shared?”
I didn’t want to bother about that anymore.
Suddenly, he slightly grabbed my neck with his hand and whispered. “Oceana, don’t let me hate you for who you are.”
I was terrified. Why would Gérard grab my neck like that? Does he really hate me?
“Behave yourself, don’t draw unnecessary attention. You are an alpha, an heir to the throne. You will rule someday, get married, have kids, and take over the realms while you are queen. Focus on that. I am not your future or the path to your happiness. Understand that, Oceana, don’t make this any worse than it already is. Think of Alex’s life, our family, if you don’t want it to be ruined. Stay away from this mate bond and focus on the important stuff.”
I struggled a little to breathe, but I kept talking. “Grip my neck tighter, Alpha.”
My words baffled him. “Are you going nuts, Oceana?”
“I don’t care if you do this to me...” I panted. “If you want me to stop disturbing you about being your mate and all that, kill me and tear my body to shreds, I don’t want to give up on you and all those things you just said to me, I want that all from you, if you really love me, you will give it to me. It is you. I wish to be my husband.”

I smiled at him and pushed his hands away from my neck; It surprised him at my words, yet I continued. “You are the one I want, to be the father of my children, be my mate, and I would do anything to make that happen. Don’t just get married to that woman.’
“Shut up.’ He said.
“If you get married to her, I will feel hostility towards you for sure. Just don’t leave me. Hate me all you want. I don’t care, but don’t just get married to that lady.”
“Are you listening to yourself? Your brother is getting married. As my sister, shouldn’t you be happy for me and for the life I got?”
“Do you think I give a fuck, I will hate you for the rest of my life, if you get married to her, I’m not sitting by and let her take you away from me and I’m not happy with the type of life I’ve gotten if you are not in it.” I clenched his arm, and he walked past me without blinking an eye and shoved me aside.
“Gérard,” I shouted, he just blissfully ignored me and just kept walking.
“Why do you always run away like a coward? You can do whatever you want, you are an Alpha?” He kept walking. He didn’t even look back at me, as I fell to my knees and sobbed bitterly.
Once again, he left me and didn’t care about how I felt. Was he going to abandon me and our fate?
Does he care about me anymore and why should I be happy about the life I was living when he was about to get married without thinking about my feelings and how this was going to affect me?
He was right. Wasn’t I supposed to be disgusted that we were mates? Too bad I wasn’t, but I love him more than anything and I would do anything to love him.

Gérard’s Pov.
I was in the library doing some research when a couple of wolves surrounded Oceana, which means they were rogues from outside of the realms.
Oh shit!
I put on my jacket and raced in that direction, and another scent hit me as I got closer.
Emily was also there, but before I could get there to check on both of them, some Alpha saved Oceana.
Seeing the white hair and the mark above his eyebrow, I knew he was Adolph, Oceana’s best friend.
I was glad he was there to save her.
I felt the betas behind me. They were also my bodyguards. I instructed them to save Emily and take her to my chambers.
They left.
I went to go check on Oceana, after getting the details from one guard about what happened before she got attacked.
I was horrified.
Oceana transformed just from seeing Emily and perceiving my scent on her, which means she knows who she is then.
“You mean she seemed like she was in a rage?”
“Yes, my lord.” my bodyguard bowed in respect for me. “She was so white. She was covering her nose and glaring at Mrs Emily, my lord. Her eyes were so red that it terrified her.”
This was bad.
The bond was affecting her.
This is part of the reason I left home so I could survive.
“So, it was after that episode that those rogues came out of nowhere to attack her.”
“Yes, my lord.” She responded.
“Alright, you can go now,” I ordered, and he quietly departed.
