Imogen soaked her feet in the swimming pool. Preparing herself for a swim, so late at night.
She really wasn't interested in swimming, she just needed to ease some tension, without taking any alcohol, and swimming was the only way she could think of.
"You never change, '' he startled her, slowly walking towards her from behind. She dived into the water, out of shock. She wanted to hide herself underneath, since she felt like she was in danger
"Seems like you did. Good for you" She managed to recognize the voice, after he heaved a sigh of relief.
She came out of the water, and wiped her face with her palm, staring at Zamiel before she swam away to the other end of the pool. She didn't want to be so close to him.
"Do you want to share something with me?" He asked her, but she maintained her silence. She didn't want to have any conversation with her, or with anyone at that.
She just wanted to be left alone, and now that he was already there with her, she knew that he would force her to talk anyways.
Refusing to say anything that would piss either of them off, she maintained her silence. Playing inside the water, and forcing herself to smile.
"If you know, you have something in mind, you want to say.
You always know, that can just tell me directly. Rather than acting this way towards me" he raised an eyebrow.
Testing the temperature of the water with his fingers.
"Really? I thought you only have the time to listen to your cousin's wife" She rolled her eyes, swimming further away. The swimming pool was large, a mansion could be built where they had the swimming pool.
"That's not true, I always have time for you" he tried to convince her, dipping his leg in the pool and taking off her shirt. He was putting on shorts, so swimming wasn't difficult for him.
"I can see that" she rolled her eyes, not even turning around to look at him. She was already pissed off.
Why did he have to come bother her now? Now, she was finally struggling to have her peace of mind.
She didn't even know that he had gotten into the water with her, although she could sense that his voice had gotten closer.
"Why are you acting like this towards me? If there is anyone that is meant to be angry here. Then that person should be me and not you" he spoke to her, grabbing her elbow from behind, and pulling her close to himself.
"Then, in that case. You should be angry enough to avoid me, so can you please leave? I will appreciate it, if you take your anger elsewhere" she chose to ignore his presence.
The same way, she chose to ignore his presence, he also chose to ignore her words, as he went further to speak what exactly was in his mind.
"You tried to k*ll someone. Imogen, do you know the gravity of such an offense?" He found himself asking her, while he stared into her eyes. With his hands, on her waist.
Imogen just got irritated by his question. And if anger could produce steam, then the water would have been boiling by now.
She still did feel a little calm, as Zamiel refused to take his hands off her waist while they were in the water.
"I got tired of her. She wants to take everyone I love so much away from me" Imogen cried out.
As much as Zamiel tried to understand where she was coming from, that didn't stop him from finding her behavior very childish.
"No one is taking anyone from you. Imogen, you are a high class princess, and I don't expect little things like this to bother you" he explained to her. He shook his head at the thoughts of his sister, becoming a m*rderer just out of jealousy.
She looked at the water and then removed his hand from her waist.
"So, you are not going to abandon me for her" she closed her eyes, looking away slowly from him.
"Leave you for her? Where did you even get that crazy idea?" He mocked her, laughing at her.
"That didn't answer my question" she attacked him, almost immediately.
She didn't find it comforting that her brother was making fun of her feelings.
"No, I won't leave you. But, promise me that you won't try to hurt her, or anyone else. That's very low for you as a princess" he hugged her from behind.
"I'll see" she forced a smile on her face.
He shook his head aggressively, knowing that the chances of her mending her ways were very slim.
Kayden's POV
I was up already and Heaven was still sleeping. I didn't want to look at her for too long, I already wake up with a hard rod every morning.
I don't want my brain to push me into doing crazy things to her. She looks so sexy and beautiful whenever she is asleep.
Yah! I f*cking know that I have said this before, but I am going to keep saying it over and over again, till she stops looking so attractive. And since, she won't ever stop looking attractive.
I am going to be saying it for a very long time, which in this case is forever.
I got out of bed and headed for the shower. I opened the drawer to bring out the new deodorant that I had bought. To my surprise, I found a note in the drawer.
"I am leaving now, I hope you take good care of yourself, while I am away. I didn't bother to wake you up, so sorry my love.
Just wait for me to return, you know I love you so much" I read the notes with shaking hands. What the f*ck,? Who wrote this, and why is it here? Should I wake her up and confront her about it? Is she seeing someone else, even after I had warned her not to?.
I was fuming with anger, and I hoped that she would give me a good explanation for this trash.
Because, it had my entire brain completely messed up, my head spinning.
And I felt like setting the whole kingdom abalze. Whoever must have written her this letter, really had some nerves not to be scared of the outcome.
And she? She kept it.
Nope, I am definitely going to ask her about it. But, I will be gentle, I still trust her.
"Heaven '' I whispered hotly in her ear. Even if I was fuming with anger, I couldn't bring myself to wake her up rudely.
"Yes.." she slowly opened her eyes, and then covered her face with the duvet.
"Just let me sleep, I don't want to wake up" she mumbled to herself. I was sure that if she knew the kind of anger I was harboring within me, then she would have sprung out of bed the moment I called her name.
"You have to wake up, you can't sleep forever. I have a question I want to ask you" I was still trying to keep my cool, trying my best to play the caring and playful husband role.
"This question, you want to ask me. Is it a life or death situation?" She asked me without any shame.
''No" My reply was firm and straightforward. But, I'll definitely make it one if she doesn't get up.
I'm sure that she must have noticed the change in my voice.
Because she crawled up from under the duvet, just to catch a glimpse of my face and the expression I had on. But, she crawled back under again.
"What the hell?" I cursed.
"B*tch, I said wake up, so you can tell me who the f*cking bastard is. The one you have been seeing all this while. The one who isn't even scared of me. I want to rip him apart" those were the words I was so itching to say to her, but self-control held me back.
"FIRE!!! FIRE!!" I screamed, and she jumped out of bed immediately, raising the duvet and throwing it recklessly across the room.
"Where?.... Where is the fire?" She was jumping up and down on the bed. Looking around, trying to locate where the fire was coming from.
"There is no fire, I just need to get you out of bed" I managed to talk, while I rolled my eyes.
"So you mean to say that I nearly had a heart attack because of your silly trick to wake me up?!" She was frustrated but not nearly as frustrated as I was.
"Oh my!!! But, look at you. You are all hail and healthy, let's be grateful nothing happened" I faked an exclamation, forcing a fake smile on my face.
She narrowed her eyes, and frowned her face, with her fists resting on her waist.
Picking up the duvet from the floor, she threw herself back on the bed.
"Who wrote this?" I held the note up, going straight to the point. I had already wasted too much time.
