Heaven's POV
I carried the heavy bags, angrily walking away from the store. Kayden came after me, with the car keys in his hands.
"Wait up!! You running like we ain't together" he called out to me, but I acted like I didn't even know him. In fact,I increased my pace.
"Common, Heaven what has gotten into you?" He held my elbow from behind, pulling me backward.
"Nothing has gotten into me. I am fine, just fine. So, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, can you please move away so I can put these in the car?" I said, trying to balance the heavy bags on my hands, while I lifted my face. Using it to point towards the door.
"I disagree" he put up a protest.
"Well….good for you" I faked a smile.
He managed to open the boot of the car for me, So I tossed all the bags inside recklessly.
"You ain't even going to ask me, why I am disagreeing with you? Seriously?" He raised an eyebrow in shock.
I didn't even look at him once. I just went over to the front seat, opened the damn thing, and slammed the door as hard as I could.
"Heaven, I am talking to you. And you are just walking away from me, avoiding me here and there" he got upset, and he also got into the car.
He didn't insert the key into that hole in the car….don't squeeze your face like that while reading the last sentence, I just don't know what it is called. So I am just going to describe it to you….yah…I am talking to you reader.
"Just drive, let us go," I sighed.
" No, I am not moving this car, until you tell me what the heck happened in there.
Are you nuts?" He used his fingers to rotate three hundred and sixty degrees on the side of his head.
"I'm nuts..Yes I am" I just replied, without even saying anything else.
"Kayden, you know that I should be the one asking you that question." I finally thundered back, after a few seconds of being silent.
I didn't even want to let him have space to think about what to say to me .
"The way you were flirting with that woman in there, did you forget we are married?!" I added, hitting my hand on the car…
"Is that why you are so upset? Because I flirted with her, it's not like I did anything with her. I can't even imagine, how you'd react if I actually did something with her…if you know what I mean.
So, are you really sure, that is the reason you are upset?" he smirked . He was beginning to sound teasing in the most annoying way, ever known to mankind.
"No, that is not the reason I am upset. I am upset because I saw a flying sheep. '' I sounded very sarcastic and he could hear that in my voice.
He acted as if nothing bothered him, my words, my feelings. Nothing made a difference to him and it hurt me so much.
"I'm sorry, I was just trying to play with you. Please…" he surprisingly begged me. I still didn't want to look at his face, so turned my face to the window, looking out the window with maximum focus.
He doesn't even care about me, so why should I care about him?.
"Are you crying?" He asked me, while I tried to wipe the drop of tear that had escaped from my eye. Why was he treating me this way? He doesnt want me to have anything with another guy, yet he goes around flirting with other women.
Even if he does that, does he really have to do it in front of me?. Does he have to show me how worthless I am?.
"It's not really what you think" he tried to explain, placing his hands on my shoulder, and trying to make me look at him since all my concentration was out the window.
"Why Are you doing this to me? I said I am sorry. I cannot endure this kind of silence" he continued to plead with me.
I didn't reply to him, I just kept trying to wipe my tears.
"You don't love me. If you did, then you wouldn't be out there flirting with other ladies, and in my presence too.
Doesn't how I feel mean anything to you, my laughs and cries...Don't they matter?"I finally said something to him, turning around slowly so I could see the expression he had on his face.
"That's not true, you know I care about you so much. I promise you that I will try my best, not to flirt with someone else in front of you like that" he gave me his word.
"You'll try?" I looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"And not in front of me? So you are going to do it when I am not around?" I narrowed my eyebrows, pointing my index finger at him as if it was a knife, which I was going to use and stab him.
"Woah!... Calm down" he smirked.
This guy was just something else, at least he made an attempt to calm my anger. I guess that means a lot, for now.
"So will you start the car now, or this is going to be our final destination?" I asked him, waving my fingers in the air.
The look on his face was so funny that I had to laugh out loud.
"Why Are you laughing?" He asked me, and gave me a suspicious look.
"Why won't I laugh?" I answered him.
"Stop doing that thing with your fingers, you're creeping me out" he shook his body, as if he was getting cold.
"Really? Like this" I waved my fingers in the air some more.
At least, I had discovered a way to piss him off, in almost the same manner he pisses me off.
Only, I wanted to see him more pissed.
"You are something else" he shook his head.
"Thank you so much, and so are you" I gave him a very big and false smile.
"I'll just start the car now" he looked away from me very slowly starting the engines of the car.
I smiled and shrugged my shoulders, knowing that I had managed to get myself sweet revenge.
