As much as David tried to stop Eden Callaway from attending the first hearing regarding Kate's lawsuit against the hospital he couldn't.
Eden was determined to do his job thus refused his request as he went ahead with the case.
Kate wasn't present for reasons best known to her but Eden won the case in the span of two weeks unfortunately he was kidnapped on his Way to Kate's house to relay the message.

The hospital was fined a huge sum of money as compensation and Cynthia's license was revoked among others but some were pardoned as the majority of them were transferred out of the country already.
They might have learned their lessons.
So Kate was pacing in her office eagerly awaiting Eden's report.
An hour turned two, three then five, it was getting dark and it was Simon's birthday. She suspended it because of their verdict. She decided to celebrate it differently thinking Eden Callaway was caught up with something.
Thus she lit candles all around a large hall with flowers and decorations with a photo of baby Simon on it. She'd tried calling Alvin to commemorate together but he wasn't returning her calls thus she was on her knees praying to the almighty God to grant her wish.
Her wish was simply for Simon to live. She'd prefer it. Dante's death won't be in vain.
While in the Reagans mansion Bianca was wandering around the crowd looking for a particular someone.
Why hasn't she arrived?
It was her only chance to find out about Quinn.
She wanted her son to have a complete family though Alvin was a good parent. She knew he was trying to hold up.
Apparently, she was disappointed in Kate thus leaned beside a pillar watching Alvin and Quinn dancing with smiling faces. Cynthia had joined the party a few minutes later with a gloomy face then approached Alvin.
" We need to talk" he glared at her then turned his back to her.
" Kate won the case. She knows the truth and my license was revoked. Can you believe that bitch? Alvin's shoulders stiffened with blurry vision.
" She knows it was a question but she answered him on the contrary.
" Everything. The court has decided to continue the divorce case. She has won, Alvin. I know she'll be granted Simon's custody should she request for it" he faces palmed himself with a few tables pushed aside by him in a feat of anger which alarmed the family.
" What do we do? Cynthia was glad it happened faster than she anticipated.
She didn't lift a finger and to think she planted the video coverage was a nice move but she wasn't expecting them to revoke her license but in the end, it'll be worth it.
There's no way Kate is going to forgive Alvin. No woman will.
" Is everything alright? His parents said in unison while Tate raised his brows quizzically.
" I need to be left alone" he sauntered out of the hall while Cynthia tends to follow him but Bianca held her back.
" What did you say to him?
" I told him about Kate. You know she's back and Simon's resort belongs to her. Anyway, she has been pestering him for Simon's whereabouts which had her suing my boss and winning the case. She knows about Simon" their faces were stunned except Lisa's. She was proud of her.
The distraction was all it took for Quinn to sneak out of the crowd after listening to their conversation.
Did she know about him?
Bad guys or not he was excited to meet his mother.

He was about to find out thus froze as Colt disembarked from the car.
" Colton, what are you doing out here? That wasn't what he wanted to say.
" Doing my job and you? Aren't you supposed to be enjoying your party? He smirking watching as his chin quirks up in annoyance.

" Dad sent for you" Colt scoffed dangling the keys in his hands.
" And when did your dad make you to his massager. Where are you going, kid?
" Something happened. Please, Colt. This last time. I just want to see someone at Simon's resort and I won't take long" it was colt's turn to be annoyed.
" Simon's resort? Do you have something you're craving for?
" Someone. Please, uncle Colton. Dad won't let go anywhere" Colt nods opening the door for him while he smiled hurrying inside.
" I wish you had a child. We could have been best friends" Colt rolled his eyes at him. He wished so too.
" You talk too much"
' I might have taken after my parents. I know it's not Dad. It's definitely from Mom" Colt stared at him from the rearview mirror in admiration.
He was right. Kate tends to talk a lot.
Kate was seated drinking with her phone in her arms.
Eden Callaway hasn't called her thus she decided to track his cellphone and furrowed her brows.
It was no place good. She was about to dig more when one of the staff approached her.
" Sorry to disturb you but you have a visitor at the reception"
" I'm not in the mood to see anyone" she snapped. The staff would have cowered away had it been someone else.
"It's a little boy" Kate shrugged wondering what he was doing at her resort at late as midnight.
The staff trailed after her. She made a few calls on her way to have Eden checked. She smelled a rat.
There he was smiling from ear to ear with anticipation expecting her to recognize him but Kate looked at him strangely then opened her arms to him.
" Quinn, where have you been? Pam and I have been trying to call you" he didn't want to disappoint her thus hugged her but was disappointed that she didn't recognize him. She didn't know about him yet.
" I went on a trip with my father" she looked over his head searching for his so-called father while he chuckled.
" He's not here just my chauffeur. I'm so happy to see you Kate" she smiled cupping his cheeks then kissed them.
" Such an adorable boy. You look handsome. Were you coming from a party? I was having a party as well. Wanna see? Quinn watched her talk nonstop and smiled. He definitely got his trait from her then followed her into a big hall to find his baby pics all over the place.
" Quinn, meet my son Simon Reagan today is his birthday. Simon meets Quinn Norton a friend. I'm sure you guys would be great friends" Quinn didn't know what got into him but tears swelled up in his eyes thus he burst into tears while Kate held him in her arms.
' what happened? Quinn? OMG, you're crying? She wiped his tears then sang him a lullaby which had him staring at him while she wiped his tears in the process still singing.
" You're a big softie. Don't scare me like that again. Come here'
" Do you love your son?
" More than anything Quinn. More than anything' he smiled then disengaged from her.
" I'm sure he feels your love for him" she smiled pecking imagining him as her son. She just wanted the results to be sure. She didn't want to assume
" You never told me why your mother left
" Maybe another time. Dad will be worried for me' he tells her but Kate insisted
" Tell me about her. What's her name?
" You wouldn't believe me if I tell you"
" Try me"
" I don't know her name. Dad never mentions her and I don't know why she left. He doesn't talk about her' she hummed caressing his hair.
" I will never do that to my child. Abandon him no matter what his father had done. I'd die for him" Quinn sniffled cupping her cheeks then hugged her.
She'd love him.
" Really?
" Really" she sniffled
" Definitely, c'mon I'll walk you to the car"
