Just another roomie Chapter 39

Chapter 11 (Becky's POV) After we came back, I made us some tea and set it all in the living room. But looking at Aron, you could tell he wasn't psychically present. He might be standing in the same room as I was, but his mind was somewhere far away. And that scared me very much. Because once a person got that far away look in their eyes it could mean only two things. Either they were thinking about something really nice, or something really awful. And since Aron asked for a place to crash, I'd say it was the latter. The suspense was killing me but I didn't dare utter a word, so I was just waiting patiently Who am I kidding? There wasn't a patient bone in my body. After a few long minutes that felt like ages have passed he finally spoke. But his voice was dull and void of any emotions. "You see, once upon a time, I thought my life was perfect. But as I got older, I started noticing there were little differences between me and my aunt, whom at that time I thought was my mother. There were also many differences between me and my cousin Ana. But first I thought I probably just took after my father. Sadly, that was not the case. One day a letter arrived. But the thing that confused me was that it was supposed to be sent by my mother.  So as a confused teenager I started asking questions. Aunt answered every one of them with pain in her eyes. She loved her sister, but she also told me she was not a good person. The final straw for my aunt was the day she found me on her doorsteps only a week after I was born. She gave me the letter that was left by my side when she abandoned me. I opened it and you know what it said? That no guy in their right mind would financially support her and a baby and since she didn't have anything valuable to gain from having me, she would leave me at my aunts.  Now I have no idea how a heart can break for someone whom you didn't even know, but at that moment my heart broke anyway. Because as soon as I was born I was a burden to someone." He was lost in those painful memories and it was all too much to bear for me, so I stood up and moved next to him, putting my hand on his arm to show him my support. He gave me a gentle smile that was far from his trademark smirk I saw so often in the past few hours I knew him. This one was genuine and made him look stunning. He put one hand over mine before he continued. "After I discovered the truth I was angry at the world for some time. That's when I met Vicky and she beat some sense back into my stubborn ass. She made me realize that I had nothing to complain about. Sure. My mother abandoned me. But not because there was something wrong with me. She did it for her selfish reasons. And at the end of the day, I had an aunt that loved and raised me as if I was her own child. There were never any differences between me and her son. So I apologized to my aunt and I make sure to tell or show her every day how much she means to me. In my eyes she is my mother. She raised me, fed me, made sure I didn't give up on myself and believed in me when no one else did. Practically I owe her everything. And remember that time when my company almost fell apart and Mason helped me? Well me and my aunt and her son Dawson think it was my mothers doing. Since she couldn't get a piece of the cake, she would destroy it. I had no proof of it so I just focused on rebuilding my company. But tonight as we were about to leave Vicky's place, my aunt called me. My mother is back in town. She is looking for me. And that can only mean one thing. She found out I changed my surname and built a future for myself. And now she wants something from me. As if I owe her anything." I was a temperamental person by nature, but what I was feeling right now was beyond anything I ever felt before. "Are you shitting me? That bitch! How dare she? First she abandons an innocent baby to fend for themselves. What if your aunt wasn't such an amazing person with a heart of gold? And now she wants something from you? She dares show her face in the same town as you live in? I swear if I ever meet her I have some really nice things to tell her. Also a slap or two would do her good!" I took a deep breath and realized Aron was staring at me with eyes wide open. A blush crept over my cheeks at his intense stare. I guess I overstepped the boundaries. "I am so…" My words were cut off when his lips crashed to mine. I was stunned for a moment. What the hell? But after a moment I started kissing him back. And oh my gosh what a kiss it was. It was the kind of kiss that curled your toes and made your heart beat faster. I clung to his shirt for my dear life. His hands were cupping my face while his lips devoured me like I was the most delicious dessert in the world. A moan escaped me and suddenly I felt my back hitting a wall. When did we move? Never mind, back to business. His hands roamed all over my upper body, but never where I needed his touch. My hands did exploring of their own. Suddenly he dipped lower and put his hands under my ass to lift me up. My legs instinctively went around his hips and he pressed his hardness into my wanting aching core. I gasped at the contact. Suddenly he moved away from my lips but still kept us in the same position. I looked at his eyes, surprised to find him smiling down at me. "Not once did anyone get so defensive on my account. And let me tell you sweetheart. It's a pure turn on." A blush once again spread across my cheeks. "What you went through is just so fucking awful! She doesn't deserve anything you built with your own hands!" His smile grew even wider. "I knew there was something special about you from the moment you stepped into my office. I also knew I would have a hard time keeping my hands to myself. But I had no idea how perfect you are for me." He didn't even give me a chance to reply, before his lips were back on mine. And I was lost. I was drowning in everything that was Aron. Consequences be damned. I will deal with everything in the morning. For now I just wanted to enjoy all the attention this Adonis was giving me. Tomorrow morning I will return to real life. Tomorrow.
