Stefan ran behind Sarah to his room, but didn't find her in the room, being concerned, he checked in bathroom, changing room, walk-in closet, then thought she must be on the balcony, but didn't find her even on the balcony.
Stefan was going crazy while looking for Sarah, then a realization hit her mind was that he didn't see Sarah entering the room, she must be somewhere in the lounge or must be on the terrace.
Stefan didn't find her even in the lounge, an adjacent room, and also not also on the terrace where she usually goes to freshen her mind.
'Ahh, she many times sit on the single-seater hanging swing and read books, she likes to read books the most whenever she is alone or want some distraction.'
'Yes, some distraction, books.'
A thought strike in Stefan's mind and he ran towards the small room adjacent to his study, which is actually like a small library formed by Sarah. Although she only picks the book from there and mostly sits in the open air and reads, still this is the place he should check.
Stefan ran towards the small library to check on Sarah because she was crying when she ran from the living hall. Thinking about Sarah's tears, Stefan increased her pace.
Stefan walked into the library and saw Sarah was sitting on the floor beside the couch curled herself in a ball and reading a book. 'Strong As A Mother', Stefan noticed the name of the book, and his heart ached.
Even though he is in pain for Sarah, he is not mentally ready to be a father yet. He has many more things to do in life before starting a family.
"Sarah....."
Stefan sat in front of Sarah on his knees and called her lovingly, then only he realized that the face of Sarah hidden behind the book is actually full of tears because she was still sobbing hysterically.
"Sarah, please I don't mean that."
Stefan pulled the book from her hand and saw her wet face, red nose, swollen eyes and he immediately hugged her, but Sarah pushed him away. Even though Sarah couldn't able to back free even after a hard push, she wiggles in his arms.
"Sarah, my angel please calm down, I don't mean that."
Stefan said affectionately while rubbing her back to calm her anger, he knows Sarah is not only upset with him but she is angry furious at him.
Sarah didn't buy his words and pushed him more furiously and constantly sobbing.
"Angel, please, believe me, I didn't mean to hurt you."
"But you did."
Sarah suddenly stopped struggling and said in a baritone, Stefan's back stiffened listening to Sarah. He never wanted to hurt Sarah, back in the past, he almost ruined her life, then after falling in love with her, he couldn't even imagine seeing tears in her eyes, let alone hurt her.
Stefan broke the hug and took Sarah's face in the cup of his palm, "Angel, I don't want to hurt you ever, it's just I don't want the child yet, I am not ready to be a father so soon after getting married.
"That you should think before, now it's too late I am already pregnant with your child."
Sarah jerks his hand from her cheeks and once again hides her face behind the book after sparing a determined look to him.
Stefan was stunned after listening to Sarah, what does she mean, does she want the child more than him?
"Sarah, do you mean that more than me this child is important to you?" Stefan asked in disbelief.
He loves Sarah the most in this world, his feelings for him are unfathomable and know that Sarah also loves him, but he didn't know that this unborn baby in her belly is becoming more important to her than him.
Even Sarah was bewildered that Stefan asked such a thing, either Stefan has two faces or she still doesn't know Stefan yet.
"This is not just a child, this is our child, our baby, the symbol of deep love between the two of us and I love you that's why to love the symbol of your love in my belly."
Sarah said in an icy cold tone, gave chilled feelings to Stefan.
"Even I too love.........."
Sarah cut off Stefan's words and continued talking in a blank tone.
"You know Stefan, I am a fatherless child, my father loved my mother but left her after making her pregnant. My mother gave birth to me out of wedlock, raise me up alone, if my mom would also eliminate the child when I was in her belly then I wouldn't be born."
Stefan saw Sarah's blank face, even despite her cold tone he felt her deep pain because of her birth experience. Stefan wanted to say something but Sarah shows her hand making him restrain himself to say anything.
"When I was in a relationship with Ronald, I have never crossed my line because I don't want to face the same situation as my mom. When I got married and moved on with you, I was feeling blessed with the thought that I have a complete family, my child wouldn't be a fatherless child like me, he/ she will not be taunted as an illegitimate child by the world as her mother."
Sarah's voice was once again got hoarse, a lump formed in her throat, she squeezed her eyes to stop the tears and once again made his red swollen eyes icy cold.
Stefan's heart is paining seeing Sarah in so much pain, and the most painful fact is she is in a miserable condition because of him. He once again hurt her, but he doesn't know how to lessen her pain.
There is a fight inside her heart whether to go with Sarah's wish and accept the child or take his time to think about this matter.
Stefan took a deep breath, gulped the lump, and said, "Sarah, I can understand your pain, and believe me, I don't intend to hurt. I was only shocked by the sudden news because I was not prepared to be a father yet. I only wanted some time."
Sarah once again looked at Stefan with cold eyes and a blank face and her attitude was like either she didn't hear what Stefan has said or she has nothing to do with Stefan's explanation.
"Even though I am married, even though you are the father of the baby and even though you don't want this baby, I don't care anything because I want my baby."
Sarah stood up from the floor and covered her belly with her both arms like a protective mother.
"I still have the ability and strength to give birth alone and raise my child alone, did you get it, Mr. Stefan Walters?"
Sarah said in a cold tone and walked out of the small library without looking back at Stefan.
