"So, this is all their game plan. They made me a fool. Sarah, I won't let you go."
Ashley finally realized that she was trapped in Sarah and Stefan's designed net. Now she is smoldering in anger, pacing in her room and clenching a fist.
The next moment she dashed out of her room and marched towards Sarah, searching her in all over the palace.
After breakfast, all moved to their respective works and nobody was home except Sarah, Ashley, and a bunch of servants.
Sarah was working in the kitchen; a servant informed Ashley, and she strides towards the kitchen.
Ashley wanted to talk to her husband, the same number she can't connect to, but others are using the same number and can talk to Ronald. Only she can't.
Ashley walked in the kitchen and saw Sarah is standing in front of the cooking range and doing something on the gas stove. She fumed more seeing Sarah's calm appearance, walked to her, and turned off the gas stove angrily, spoiling Sarah's dish.
Sarah frowned, lift her head, looked at Ashley, and raised her eyebrows in questionable gaze, then again turned the gas stove on.
"What you and Stefan have done with Ronald's phone, why is it not connecting even when I tried several times, whereas mom can talk to him on the same number." Ashely again turned off the gas stove irritatingly and annoyed Sarah.
Sarah took a deep breath, took the hot spatula from the pan, and swiftly turned towards Ashley; the spatula was almost about to touch Ashley's face if she wouldn't take a few steps back.
Ashley's heart beat fast and she fumed more when Sarah scared her. "Sarah, answer me," Ashley yelled.
"Why do you want to know about Ronald, you only wanted to be a good daughter-in-law and win a family member's heart, so concentrate on that?"
Ashley was startled, how does Sarah get to know about her secret plan, she has planned it secretly.
"W.... What are you talking about?" Ashley couldn't help but stammer in fear of getting caught with her shrewd plan and pretend that not to know anything.
"Ashley, you didn't go to New York to accompany Ronald, just because you want to be here and win over the title of perfect daughter-in-law in everybody's heart, isn't it?"
A cunning smile appeared on Sarah's face which jolt Ashley's mind. Nothing was going as she planned. Most of the family members are upset with her now she doesn't want to let others know her true intentions.
"I ... I didn't go to New York because my leg was injured and I don't want to make myself a burden on Ronald in a new place."
"Do you think I will believe in your stories? Ashley, now I am not old Sarah anymore who couldn't see the true and ugly side of yours behind this innocent face and fake tears. No one knows you the best more than me, then how could I not know what was cooking in your cunning brain." Sarah tapped her finger at the side of Ashley's face.
Ahh, finally Sarah indirectly revealed, which was confusing for Ashley, and then only Ashley realized that she was smartly fooled by Sarah and Stefan.
Once she realized what has happened to her, then anger overpower her head, she held Sarah's shoulder and tighten her grip which pained Sarah but she didn't show on her face.
"Sarah, you cunning woman, you tried to fool me, you vixen. You both played a big game with me."
Ashley was tightening her grip on Sarah's shoulder more and more cunningly, venting her anger, and Sarah clenched her teeth to endure the pain.
Sarah slowly lifts her leg and stamped it on Ashley's foot. When Ashley winced in pain, Sarah jerks her hand from her shoulder.
"Ashley, you are already a big fool, so I haven't worked hard for the thing which was made by god. Now get out and let me do my work."
Ashley stamped her foot and went from there while blabbering and cursing Sarah and Stefan. "Sarah, I will not let you go like this. I will make you pay for what you have done to me."
'No, no, I can't let Sarah win against me. If I can't win over her, then I will make her disappear from my life as I have done before.'
Ashley's face turned dark, eyes are swollen because of excess stress and crying, she was about to burst into anger, frustration and emotion and don't know what to do, suddenly she realized only her grandmother is a person with whom she can share her miseries.
She immediately took her phone and dialed her grandmother's number.
"Grandmother, it's me, Ashley."
Since the day Ashley confessed her mistake in front of the Smith family, neither she contacted anybody in the Smith family nor anybody from the Smith family is in touch with her.
None of them has forgotten that Ashley's deeds disappointed them and look down on her. They didn't forgive her.
Another side even Ashley didn't try to seek their forgiveness. She was only busy in her after-marriage life and issues with Ronald.
Now today when she called her grandmother after many days she didn't get that old warm and loving feeling as she always used to get from her.
"Why did you call me?"
Even though her grandmother is happy to hear her loving granddaughter after many days but she doesn't want to forgive her wrong deeds just like that.
"Grandmother, are you still mad at me, please let old things go and forgive me. I did nothing intentionally; it was that I couldn't suppress my love for Ronald life long and that leads me to make a gargantuan mistake."
Marie's heart softened listening to Ashley's plead and Ashley also didn't forget to make her voice as pitiful and miserable as she can.
Even though Marie's heart melted at Ashley's plead but she doesn't want to forgive Ashley's sin. She tried to kill somebody.
"Ashley, now it's not matters anymore. You have already got married to Ronald, then move on with him." Marie said.
"Grandmother, I am still in a great mess because Sarah is here. She is not letting me live my life peacefully. Even she has Stefan beside her, still, she is trying to step on my marriage."
Ashley's voice sounded hoarse and the listener can say that she is crying, but nobody knows her acting.
"Then deal with your problems by yourself, and don't bother us."
Sebastian's sharp voice stunned Ashley. She didn't know that her emotional complaint against Sarah was listened to by Sebastian, who snatched his mother's phone because she is talking to Ashley, and nobody is allowed to contact Ashley in the smith family.
"Dad....."
Ashley couldn't complete her words and the phone was disconnected.
