"No, mom I don't want to go to New York after Ronald, I want to be here with you all and take good care of my family and help the other daughters-in-law, after all, family is important."
"Ashley, you can't leave your husband alone, he also needs you beside him at the very first major step of his career."
Sarah said calmly, folding her hands across her chest and giving a tentative glare to Ashely.
'I know, Sarah, why are you saying all this, you must be anxious when my trip was canceled, but I can't let you be successful.' Ashely thought.
'Sarah, can't you keep your mouth shut when everything is going as planned, why are you acting so smart?' Ronald thought.
Not only Ashely, but even Ronald also cursed Sarah in his heart for her over-smartness.
Ashley grinds her teeth looking at Sarah and said, "No Sarah, you are wrong, more than me Ronald needs to be focused on his work and my presence can be a reason of distraction for him, after all, we are newly married and Ronald loves me a lot."
Ashley made a fake shy face and Ronald felt nauseated by her disgusting implicated words.
"I don't want to disturb Ronald while he has a career goal to achieve, that's why I will be here and wait for him to come back successful from New York."
She pretends a perfect renouncer and devoted wife and daughter-in-law and won a point from Julia.
"What an understanding wife you are and a caring daughter-in-law, my Ronald is lucky to have you as a wife."
Ronald made ugly faces inwardly and smiled pitifully. Even Ashley did a happy dance in her mind and flew high in the sky after getting praise from her mother-in-law.
She even started dreaming of defeating Sarah in everything.
"Alright, Ashley, you take a rest. I will send your breakfast in your room." Julia said and left her room and behind her Sarah, Stefan and Ronald also came out.
The three of them almost ran into Stefan and Sarah's room and as they entered, they burst into laughter, which they had been holding for long. Then went out & left for their respective works.
"Sarah, I can believe it that Ashley could behave so stupidly one day, just to beat you in everything she has even given up on Ronald, not only her love but obsession," Stefan said with a laugh.
Sarah stopped laughing and a pang of agony appeared in her eyes, "When it comes to letting me down, she always loses all her senses and goes insane. To compete with me and defeat me she can lose all her morality."
Stefan and Ronald noticed Sarah's gloomy face, then Ronald said cheerfully, "Still, Stefan and Sarah, thank you so much to solve my biggest problem in a snap of a finger."
"Come on Ronald, don't be so polite," Sarah said.
The same evening, Ronald bid farewell to everybody and left for New York.
Ashley was lying on the bed and the entire day she enjoyed the room service and the concern of the family members for her.
Stefan and Sarah were irked by her drama.
"Sarah, now this Ashley is getting on to my nerves, that bitch is perfectly alright and making big aunt and sister-in-law Stella visit her so many times to take care of her." Stefan clenched his fist and said angrily.
"Stefan, language? And don't worry about Ashley, I will deal with her. You tell me if there is any call from Ronald's side?" Sarah said.
"He has reached safely, and will join the company from tomorrow."
"What about his new mobile number?"
"He will get his new number by tomorrow, but he won't reveal it to anybody now, got it?"
"Don't worry, I am not a fool, I know how and when to use it," Sarah smirked and said confidently.
"Yes, my smart little angel."
The next move started with its regular routine, but Sarah and Stefan had many things to do. Now that they have dealt with Ronald's problem, Ashley had started creating a new drama in their palace.
Everybody is sorry for her and taking extra care of her, pampering her because she has sprained her leg and she has even sent her husband alone.
Nobody is aware of her true colors except Stefan, Sarah, and Amy.
"This Ashley is so annoying. Poor elder sister is sorry for her and worried so much about her injury but she is shamelessly enjoying the room services. I am feeling so sorry for my elder sister."
Amy said getting annoyed because she was impatient, she wanted to go to Ashley's room and pull her wrist making her stand on her feet.
"Mom, don't worry, today Ashley will not only get up from the bed but she will also start running in the palace," Sarah assured Amy and smiled.
"Only if you are saying so, I can be at ease, but do it today otherwise tomorrow I will make her fake injury come true."
Amy made an ugly face, and Sarah side hugged her.
"Don't worry mom, I will take care of her."
Sarah took the trolley of evening tea and snacks from the servant and went towards Ashley's room. She carefully knocked on the door and entered.
"Oh, wow, Mrs. Sarah Stefan Walter, herself has come to my room with the evening tea and snacks. I never knew I could be so important to these Walters." Ashley said dramatically.
Sarah looked at Ashley and sneered at her, who was lying in the bed folding legs royally and reading a fashion magazine.
"What to do my younger sister-in-law is injured and to be a good daughter-in-law of the family I have to help her, don't I?"
Sarah said disdainfully and slowly walked ahead in her room and placed the trolley of tea a little far from Ashley.
"Oh, is that so, then bring it here, why have you kept it so far, don't you have a minimum sense of work."
Sarah bit her tongue and realized her mistake and said dramatically, "Oh yes I forgot that you have injured your leg and I have kept your tea at a distance from you, how silly I am, what to do now? Hmm, why don't you come here and take it?"
Sarah winked at Ashley and smirked meaningfully, which sent shivers down Ashley's spine.
"Sarah, are you out of your mind, how can you forget again, I have sprained my leg?" Ashley composed herself and chided.
"Ashley, have you spoken to Ronald till now?"
Out of the blue Sarah asked a question which dumbfounded Ashley and Sarah continued, "Looking at your expression I think you haven't."
Ashley rendered a strained appearance listening to Sarah's meaningful words, she didn't understand Sarah's intention, but she immediately fetched her phone and started calling Ronald, but it wasn't connecting.
No matter how many times she tried, but it was unreachable.
"What's wrong, is it unreachable?"
