Sarah was not only surprised to see Valerie there, but she even noticed a calm and friendly atmosphere that too with a soft smile on their faces, that amazed her the most.
"Yes, I came here to call Ronald for dinner," Valerie answered immediately with the thought that Sarah will misunderstand her.
"Yes, me too."
"Sarah, why did you come? You shouldn't climb stairs so many times in this condition for no reason, be careful you are already weak." Ronald said with concern.
"I didn't come especially; it was like I was crossing through the corridor so I came in to see you. Actually, Stefan is busy in a teleconference and will be a little late, so I was going down for dinner and thought of calling you, let's go together." Sarah said.
Ronald and Valerie nodded. The trio went towards the dining area and sat for dinner. After some time, Stefan also joined them for dinner.
With a harmonious chit-chat between the family members, the dinner ended.
Valerie's heart once again ached to see the lovely family atmosphere, but alas, she can't be a part of it. She is just a guest here.
The next morning, as usual, Stefan woke up first, kissed Sarah's forehead, and smiled, seeing the morning beauty sleeping peacefully. He then drew the curtain for her and her frowned face turned into a smiling one.
After some time, he came out after getting ready and saw her still sleeping peacefully.
Stefan caressed her head lovingly. "My angel is sleeping so peacefully, but what to do I have to wake her up."
Stefan thought and started calling her politely, and after a lot of attempts, she woke up and frowned cutely.
Sarah wiggled lazily. "Ahh, sweetheart, shall I request for something?"
"Sure, other than skipping the morning walk, you can request for anything."
Sarah immediately stood up and sat cross-legged on the bed. "No, I don't want to skip the walk, I just want you to do something else."
Stefan took her face in the cup of his palm lovingly. "Anything for my angel."
"Can you take me for a morning walk while picking in your arms?" Sarah said innocently.
Stefan's eyes widened inwardly in shock. 'How will that possibly be a walk if she will go in my arms? But if I will say this to her, then quite possibly there will be another tiff. Whatever she was looking so cute while demanding for such a weird thing."
"Angel, if you will go in my arms, don't you think I will be tired and my arms will pain too, but I can do anything for you." Stefan played his trump card, and Sarah immediately melted.
"Stefan, you are absolutely right, you will be tired like this. No, don't pick me in your arms all the way, just pick me up while we will return from the park."
This is what Sarah's new demand was, and Stefan hit his forehead. "Alright as you wish. Now come on, get ready fast."
'Even after trying my best way to convince her, I am back to the drawing board.
They left for the morning walk, and while on the way back home from the morning walk, Sarah nagged to pick her in his arms. Even though Stefan was reluctant, finally he had to pick her up. And they returned home.
As they entered the gate of the palace, Sarah noticed some sweat drops on Stefan's forehead, she wiped it from the small towel in her hand and asked Stefan to put her down.
• Stefan then put her down and asked, "What's wrong, angel?"
"Stefan, I am so bad, I always irritate you for nothing, and you bear everything. Today again I made you sweat." Sarah said emotionally and her eyes filled with tears. This pained Stefan, too.
"Angel, please don't cry. You are my wife, and I can do anything for you." Stefan said calmly, he knew it's all her mood swing, she will be fine soon.
"Thank you so much, Stefan, thanks a lot, you always do so much for me, from the day we have got married, you have fulfilled all your responsibilities."
"Sarah, do you remember that we had made a friendship on the first day of our marriage?" Sarah nodded in a yes. "So, what is the rule of the friendship?" Stefan raised his eyebrows.
"There is no space for sorry and thank you in our friendship." Stefan and Sarah said in unison.
Stefan, with a doting smile, picked Sarah again in his arms and walked inside. "Now don't repeat the mistake, did you hear me?"
Valerie was standing near the window of her room and heard the entire conversation of Stefan and Sarah.
"Are they just friends, or husband and wife, or lovers? Valerie thought, with confusion.
After thinking for long and getting to no result, she jerked her thoughts and went with the determined thoughts to let Stefan know about her decision of moving out of here as soon as possible.
When Valerie came down, everybody was sitting at the dining table for breakfast and Valerie didn't get the chance to talk to Stefan. Everything was going well, but at the end of the breakfast, the regular milk war had started.
"I said, no means no, and that's final."
"Angel, please, why are you so stubborn regarding your health?"
"Stefu, this milk tastes yuck, I don't like it." Sarah made an ugly face while speaking.
"I don't care whether or not you like it, you have to drink it." Stefan kept a cup of milk in front of her, but she turned her face and squinted her nose.
"Ewe, I am feeling like vomiting, yuck." Sarah covered her mouth while making a growling sound and was about to get up and go from there, but Stefan held her hand.
"Sarah, stop being so dramatic, sit down and bottoms up the glass of milk," Stefan said strictly with a dark face.
Sarah shed a few fake tears and said in a pleading tone. "Stefu please, mercy. Someone help me."
Even though Sarah was looking pitiful, nobody interfered in their matter, as they were aware of the regular drama.
This was new for Valerie, she pitied Sarah and meddled in their matter.
"Stefan, why are you forcing her so adamantly? If she is not comfortable, let her go."
Sarah's tantrums already pissed Stefan off, still, he couldn't get angry with her. Now, when Valerie supported her, he vented his anger on her.
"Valerie, when you know nothing, you should not speak. I have already warned you not to interfere.
"But Stefan......."
Stefan cut Valerie off, and yelled at her. "I said stay out of it, didn't you hear me?"
Valerie felt bad, she looked around, got up, and ran towards her room with tears in her eyes feeling humiliated. Ronald also moved behind her silently.
"Stefan, how can you yell at Valerie for my mistake?" Sarah scolded him.
"Stefan, you were disrespectful just now. She is our guest and probably oblivious to everything." Julia said.
Stefan realized his mistake; he shouldn't speak to Valerie like this.
Sarah lifted the cup of milk and finished it in one go. "You only wanted me to drink this yuck milk, see I did that."
Stefan was amused, and Sarah continued in anger. "Now, what are waiting for? Go, apologize to her and pacify her."
Stefan stood up to go, but Sarah stopped him. "Wait, I am too coming with you."
Ronald knocked at the door of Valerie's room and entered to be shocked to see Valerie stuffing her clothes in a bag while crying and wiping her tears. Ronald felt awful for her.
